:00:00. > :00:08.Here on BBC One, it's time for the news where you are.

:00:09. > :00:16.Bottled water for thousands of homes after a burst pipe

:00:17. > :00:20.Took little time to find the main yesterday but it is actually under

:00:21. > :00:23.the river a little down the road, which is going to cause significant

:00:24. > :00:40.And how sport is helping tackle high suicide rates among young men.

:00:41. > :00:43.Plenty of sunshine today but what about the rest of the week? Join

:00:44. > :00:47.before the forecast. Work to reconnect hundreds

:00:48. > :00:50.of homes in Lincolnshire - which have been without water

:00:51. > :00:52.since yesterday morning is being hampered because

:00:53. > :00:55.the leak is under a river. Hundreds of people who live

:00:56. > :00:58.in the Wolds have been told it will now be tomorrow morning

:00:59. > :01:01.at the earliest before they have

:01:02. > :01:04.running water again. Supplies were affected

:01:05. > :01:07.in 16 villages, where bottled water

:01:08. > :01:14.is being given to those affected. Phillip, have many people

:01:15. > :01:28.been coming for water? More than 24 hours since the

:01:29. > :01:33.problems first began, the loss of water supply to this part of

:01:34. > :01:37.Lincolnshire is still causing problems. As I've been driving

:01:38. > :01:45.around tonight, I've seen many people going to the water stations

:01:46. > :01:50.set up at Village halls and pubs across the area, picking up water so

:01:51. > :01:58.that they can cook and wash. There is now a promise of more to come

:01:59. > :02:03.overnight. It was bottled water that kept the coffee and tea flowing at

:02:04. > :02:09.this pub today. Tonight, some water returned to the taps. Tonight it

:02:10. > :02:14.wasn't too bad. In the afternoon, they started to get things sorted

:02:15. > :02:21.out. They charged the system and it's been a lot better since about

:02:22. > :02:27.without pressure. Anglian Water has without pressure. Anglian Water has

:02:28. > :02:36.set up water stations and send out supplies to customers. A steady

:02:37. > :02:41.stream of locals picked up water through the night. There is a

:02:42. > :02:47.trickle in the tab but I don't think there'll be any in the morning. It

:02:48. > :02:55.has been caused by a break in a pipe that flows under a river. They set

:02:56. > :02:59.up a new temporary pipe today. We do like to apologise to all our

:03:00. > :03:03.customers who have been inconvenienced by this. In terms of

:03:04. > :03:06.re-routing and engineering work, it's been a successful day and

:03:07. > :03:14.wearing as good a place as we'd hoped to be at this time. The only

:03:15. > :03:19.thing flowing properly here was the beer. The hope is it will return to

:03:20. > :03:23.normal overnight. I've been speaking to Anglian Water and they say that

:03:24. > :03:28.the system around here is gravity fed and a pipe that fractured under

:03:29. > :03:34.the River feeds a main reservoir and as a result, the level in the

:03:35. > :03:38.reservoir dropped and the villages downhill lost water supply. As a

:03:39. > :03:42.result of the workmen today re-routing the supply, that main

:03:43. > :03:51.rivers of art has been topping up. When it got to a certain level, some

:03:52. > :03:55.villages started getting supply back on line. It is the main Flint Hill

:03:56. > :04:01.reservoir. They are hoping that the system will sort itself out and

:04:02. > :04:08.pressure will rebuild as everyone goes to bed tonight. Hopefully, they

:04:09. > :04:10.say some form of normality will return tomorrow.

:04:11. > :04:14.A man from Hull whose son tried to take his own life says men

:04:15. > :04:16.need more help to talk about their problems.

:04:17. > :04:18.Geoff Bielby's son Jonathan is recovering from what his family

:04:19. > :04:24.The latest figures show that in England, more than 3,600 men

:04:25. > :04:29.In the East Midlands, which includes Lincolnshire,

:04:30. > :04:37.While in Yorkshire and the Humber, there were 422 suicides in men,

:04:38. > :04:39.meaning our area has some of the highest rates

:04:40. > :04:45.Geoff has been speaking to our reporter Matt Dean

:04:46. > :04:48.about his family's experience and how he found help

:04:49. > :04:55.I was looking forward to the start of the football season.

:04:56. > :04:59."Drop everything, Jonathan's been rushed into hospital."

:05:00. > :05:02.Up until then, Geoff Bielby had no idea his son

:05:03. > :05:07.To him, he was just a carefree lad in his 30s but that day

:05:08. > :05:14.His partner, his close friends, and his family, had no inkling

:05:15. > :05:18.whatsoever and that's one of the saddest thing is that it's

:05:19. > :05:23.not uncommon for men to bottle any anxiety or depression up.

:05:24. > :05:25.Kids fall over, they scrape their knees and you say

:05:26. > :05:32.All of those sort of classic phrases that mean

:05:33. > :05:39.Thanks to the formation of Blokes United.

:05:40. > :05:43.We just want men to realise that they can talk.

:05:44. > :05:48.If the door to get blokes to talk is through sport, then great.

:05:49. > :05:54.I've come out of drugs and alcohol problems,

:05:55. > :06:01.To get them all in as one collective, under the same umbrella,

:06:02. > :06:08.It's a great thing that they encourage trying out sports,

:06:09. > :06:12.getting to know new people, I think that's fantastic, really.

:06:13. > :06:17.Rugby League has joined football in offering something valuable

:06:18. > :06:22.It's given them something to do, something to look forward

:06:23. > :06:25.Monday, Tuesday, you're looking forward to Saturday.

:06:26. > :06:27.I think it's good to support something like this.

:06:28. > :06:32.Blokes United already seems to be working,

:06:33. > :06:35.as those who have experienced dark times open up

:06:36. > :06:44.I was in a pretty low place myself in October and I wanted

:06:45. > :06:47.to share my story and I'd seen the publicity on Blokes United

:06:48. > :06:50.and I just got in touch with father Phil Lamb and said,

:06:51. > :06:53.can I come to a session and tell the guys about my story.

:06:54. > :06:56.And it's those important stories which Blokes United are especially

:06:57. > :06:59.Through their sessions in the city, they want to provide men

:07:00. > :07:02.like Geoff and his son with a support they need.

:07:03. > :07:04.A man has appeared in court following a series

:07:05. > :07:09.There were a number of reports of attempted vehicle thefts

:07:10. > :07:11.across Hull and East Yorkshire area on Friday morning -

:07:12. > :07:14.police say they're still searching for a second man in connection

:07:15. > :07:22.23 year old Leon Ndenu, will appear before Hull Crown court next month

:07:23. > :07:24.charged with 12 offences, including robbery,

:07:25. > :07:27.attempted robbery, assault, and firearms offences.

:07:28. > :07:30.A vicar from Wetwang has been jailed for three years for sexually abusing

:07:31. > :07:33.a boy 30 years ago while working as a headteacher.

:07:34. > :07:36.63-year-old David Fletcher was working

:07:37. > :07:39.in Bradford in the late 1980s when he committed the offences.

:07:40. > :07:43.Fletcher was convicted of two counts of indecent assault but found not

:07:44. > :07:54.Plans for a futuristic "hover train" that could travel from Hull

:07:55. > :07:56.to Liverpool in 29 minutes have been submitted

:07:57. > :08:00.The company behind the proposal wants to create the "world's fastest

:08:01. > :08:02.underground system" across the north of England using Maglev trains,

:08:03. > :08:04.similar to this one, which can reach speeds

:08:05. > :08:13.Transport for the North says the plans need more development.

:08:14. > :08:16.A vegan chef who runs cookery classes from an East Yorkshire

:08:17. > :08:19.pig farm is joining names like Mary Berry and James Martin

:08:20. > :08:28.Katy Beskow from Beverley is also a vegan blogger and is hoping

:08:29. > :08:30.to become a household name in the world of cooking.

:08:31. > :08:34.Farming is a big part of life on the Yorkshire Wolds, and these

:08:35. > :08:39.So promoting meat and dairy free food here could be a hard sell

:08:40. > :08:43.but that is exactly what vegan chef Katie Bescow is trying to do.

:08:44. > :08:47.It's not just a packet of beans these days.

:08:48. > :08:51.I think it shows that people are really looking

:08:52. > :08:54.to try something new, whether they are from a farming

:08:55. > :08:56.background or eat meat, and actually, people don't have

:08:57. > :08:58.to be fully vegan to appreciate vegan or vegetarian food.

:08:59. > :09:05.Her name will soon be on the book shelves next to Mary Berry

:09:06. > :09:07.and James Martin and her vegan cookery classes near

:09:14. > :09:18.People are always really determined to try it.

:09:19. > :09:21.And when they give it a go, they absolutely love it.

:09:22. > :09:23.Famous fans of a vegan diet include Beyonce

:09:24. > :09:28.So could it take off in an East Yorkshire

:09:29. > :09:34.People around here seem to like all sorts of different foods.

:09:35. > :09:37.It's too different at my time of life.

:09:38. > :09:46.It might not be for everyone but with a book

:09:47. > :09:49.deal and thousands of social media followers, Katie is proving that

:09:50. > :10:00.there is a global appetite for a meat free menu.

:10:01. > :10:06.Let's get a look at the weather - here's Paul with the forecast.

:10:07. > :10:15.A nice day to come tomorrow thanks to a ridge of high pressure. A damp

:10:16. > :10:18.start on Wednesday but the rest of Wednesday and Thursday look fine

:10:19. > :10:29.with good spells of sunshine particularly on Thursday. Most of us

:10:30. > :10:33.have it fine, just the chance of a few showers. Tomorrow, plenty of

:10:34. > :10:38.sunshine, staying dry and bright with a good deal of sunshine. The

:10:39. > :10:46.weather front won't bring any rain until tomorrow night. Damp start on

:10:47. > :10:47.Wednesday, soon drying out. That's it from

:10:48. > :11:06.cool, it will be windy at times as well and still rather unsettled with

:11:07. > :11:09.some blustery showers around. That's the London forecast and now for the

:11:10. > :11:18.National forecast, over to Nick Miller.

:11:19. > :11:25.North-west France and Plymouth were miles apart weather-wise. This

:11:26. > :11:30.southern flank in north-west France there was a wind gusts of 120 mph

:11:31. > :11:33.which we just dodged. That area of low pressure continues to move

:11:34. > :11:37.quickly south-eastwards so that by tomorrow it is in Italy on its

:11:38. > :11:42.southern flank, stormy in Sardinia and around it strong winds blowing

:11:43. > :11:46.through south-east France. We've got a little bump in the ice bars with

:11:47. > :11:49.lighter winds, a brief ridge of high pressure, things briefly settled

:11:50. > :11:53.going into tomorrow, overnight there are some showers around moving

:11:54. > :11:56.through western Scotland and north-west England and the Midlands,

:11:57. > :11:58.clearing Wales, one or two in the east, the North Sea tip of high

:11:59. > :12:00.pressure,
