:01:54. > :01:56.Chancellor wants to create a level playing field when it comes to the
:01:57. > :02:02.national insurance paid by employees and those who are self-employed but
:02:03. > :02:06.that is not how business leaders see it. Some competitors are large
:02:07. > :02:11.businesses in joint business rates cuts and corporation tax cuts, the
:02:12. > :02:14.playing field is not being levelled, this is an unfair development and
:02:15. > :02:20.should be looked at carefully and reversed. Critics say the
:02:21. > :02:24.Conservative government has broken its own manifesto pledge not to
:02:25. > :02:30.increase national insurance contributions, not so, said the
:02:31. > :02:33.Chancellor. I am supportive of business, I believe in small
:02:34. > :02:38.businesses and start-ups, the backbone of the economy but we have
:02:39. > :02:43.to have a tax system that is fair as it is right we ask people to
:02:44. > :02:48.contribute appropriately for the benefits they receive. No U-turn but
:02:49. > :02:50.with negative budget headlines, many MPs said the Chancellor will look

:04:14. > :04:20.of increasing tax that the demands for social care and so on are always
:04:21. > :04:26.going to be increasing. If you are a self-employed person, a taxi driver,
:04:27. > :04:36.?17,000, you will pay more money. Is that fair? What you have to do bear
:04:37. > :04:40.in mind is self-employed now are getting the increased state pension
:04:41. > :04:44.which they did not pay into before but I accept the self-employed do
:04:45. > :04:45.not get the full range of benefits employed people do and I shall be
