:01:03. > :01:04.Over the past few weeks thousands of pounds worth of goods
:01:05. > :01:07.Veterans and volunteers say they're disgusted.
:01:08. > :01:18.The International Bomber Command Centre is being built in honour
:01:19. > :01:22.of those involved with Bomber Command.
:01:23. > :01:26.It will commemorate the more than 55,000 Bomber Command crew
:01:27. > :01:33.who've lost their lives during the Second World War.
:01:34. > :01:36.The majority of the bombing raid sets out from Lincolnshire,
:01:37. > :01:38.and their actions are credited with dramatically changing
:01:39. > :01:45.But recently the construction of the memorial has become a target
:01:46. > :01:49.At some point over the weekend the five-metre white flag pole
:01:50. > :01:52.similar to this one was stolen from near the entrance here,
:01:53. > :01:54.along with the Union Jack flag that was flying on it.
:01:55. > :01:57.I think they are sad people, they are lacking in some
:01:58. > :01:59.intelligence, lacking in morals, concern and commitment and belief
:02:00. > :02:09.in what people have done for them in the past.
:02:10. > :02:11.People like 98-year-old Les Rutherford, one of just two
:02:12. > :02:13.survivors when his Lancaster was shot down.
:02:14. > :02:26.Horrified and very angry that people could deface monuments to people
:02:27. > :02:32.who gave their lives for this country.
:02:33. > :02:37.There are men up there, several that I knew personally,
:02:38. > :02:46.And to think of of someone going round there destroying things,
:02:47. > :02:49.there is a lot of vandalism goes on up there, it shatters me.
:02:50. > :03:14.Meanwhile staff at the International Bomber Command Centre say security
:03:15. > :03:16.will now be improved but CCTV systems would simply
:03:17. > :03:30.Police are concerned for the safety of a mother from Newark and her two
:03:31. > :03:35.Samantha Baldwin and her sons Louis and Dylan haven't been
:03:36. > :03:40.The family have connections in Lincolnshire.

:03:45. > :03:50.They think Samantha Baldwin is with her sons Lewis Madge, who's
:03:51. > :03:52.nine, and his younger brother Dylan, who's six.
:03:53. > :03:55.They were last seen near Nottingham City Centre yesterday.
:03:56. > :03:57.But they are from Newark, and have connections to both
:03:58. > :04:07.So it's thought they might have travelled there.
:04:08. > :04:10.If they have any knowledge or have heard any rumours about where
:04:11. > :04:13.Samantha and the two boys may be then please get in touch with the
:04:14. > :04:16.It is very, very important people do so.

:05:14. > :05:17.and so health officials are looking at where costs can be cut.
:05:18. > :05:25.Prescription charges is one key area.
:05:26. > :05:29.Medicines and treatments like gluten-free food
:05:30. > :05:32.and paracetamol are all currently available on prescription,
:05:33. > :05:37.but NHS England is going to consult on whether things that are freely
:05:38. > :05:40.available over the counter should still be offered by GPs.
:05:41. > :05:43.Lexi Young has coeliac disease which is caused by an adverse
:05:44. > :05:46.reaction to gluten found in wheat, barley and rye.
:05:47. > :05:49.Her family's cafe in Hull sell some gluten-free products but she thinks
:05:50. > :05:55.it is vital basic GF foodstuffs remain free on prescription.
:05:56. > :05:58.For somebody who may have been poorly for a while and is not sure
:05:59. > :06:02.what to eat and where to buy, it can give them that
:06:03. > :06:08.natural first step to go, I will start with this pasta
:06:09. > :06:10.and then I can try other different types of gluten-free pastas.
:06:11. > :06:12.It is crucial for anybody who has been diagnosed.
:06:13. > :06:15.Paracetamol can be bought for as little as 19p per packet,
:06:16. > :06:18.but if you go to your GP it costs the NHS over ?10 a packet.
:06:19. > :06:22.Last year the NHS in Hull spent over ?500,000 on these painkillers,
:06:23. > :06:27.while the national figure was more than 87 million.
:06:28. > :06:34.Many health groups in our area have already restricted prescriptions
:06:35. > :06:36.for paracetamol and most of the people we spoke
:06:37. > :06:39.to in Hull agreed this was the right thing to do.
:06:40. > :06:44.I think if you need them buy them, that is my perception.
:06:45. > :06:47.I think paracetamol is so cheap that I do not think that it really needs
:06:48. > :06:56.I suppose just buy it yourself, with it being so cheap.
:06:57. > :06:59.Health managers in the East Riding have already changed
:07:00. > :07:03.the policy on prescribing, and not just for paracetamol,
:07:04. > :07:15.This will save them ?1.7 million in this financial year alone.
:07:16. > :07:18.Neal Patel is from the group that speaks for Pharmacists.
:07:19. > :07:21.I asked him whether he agreed that some products should only be
:07:22. > :07:27.We are supportive of the fact the NHS is looking at the most
:07:28. > :07:29.effective medicines and thinking about getting rid of those
:07:30. > :07:33.where there is limited evidence. We are surprised they have
:07:34. > :07:35.not looked at other products like homoeopathy,
:07:36. > :07:40.where there is a very limited evidence for use.
:07:41. > :07:43.We are also concerned about the fact some patients may be disadvantaged
:07:44. > :07:48.if the struggle to pay for their medicines,
:07:49. > :07:50.if they are no longer available through the NHS.
:07:51. > :07:52.I suppose pharmacists have a vested interest in trying
:07:53. > :07:55.to protect thier business anyway, don't they?
:07:56. > :07:57.Pharmacists are about making sure people get access
:07:58. > :07:59.to the medicines they need, be it on prescription
:08:00. > :08:03.Our view is that there is a place for those who can
:08:04. > :08:07.With serious lifelong conditions like coeliac disease,
:08:08. > :08:12.it is important patients get access to medicines when they need them,
:08:13. > :08:16.You mention coeliac disease, if you want bread or food
:08:17. > :08:19.or whatever, you can buy it over the counter now.
:08:20. > :08:21.Should that really be on prescription?
:08:22. > :08:23.I understand a lot of people will now see those products,
:08:24. > :08:24.gluten-free products, in the supermarket shelves,
:08:25. > :08:28.but it is also true coeliac disease is a lifelong condition and if left
:08:29. > :08:30.untreated it can cause deficiency problems and even more
:08:31. > :08:36.But there are plenty of coeliacs who do not get
:08:37. > :08:41.things on prescription, they buy their own.
:08:42. > :08:46.I think what we need is to make sure that the balance between people
:08:47. > :08:48.being able to buy the products they want from a supermarket,
:08:49. > :08:52.make sure children and people who might not have the ability
:08:53. > :08:55.to pay for those products are given support through the NHS.
:08:56. > :08:57.It is important people are treated as individuals rather
:08:58. > :08:59.than there being a blanket ban on for all these products
:09:00. > :09:03.What do you think about travel vaccines?
:09:04. > :09:14.I mean, you are not ill, you're going on an exotic trip,
:09:15. > :09:17.should they be available for free on prescription?
:09:18. > :09:19.A lot of vaccines now are not available on prescription
:09:20. > :09:21.through the NHS and you do have to pay.
:09:22. > :09:23.There are some that are still available.
:09:24. > :09:26.The reason they are often available is because the conditions you may
:09:27. > :09:29.contract if you do not have the vaccine, you would pick up
:09:30. > :09:31.that treatment through the NHS when people return.
:09:32. > :09:34.So sometimes it can be a false economy to not vaccinate people.
:09:35. > :09:37.We vaccinate hundreds of thousands of people for the flu vaccine every
:09:38. > :09:39.year to make sure we do not have the knock-on effects
