:00:00. > :00:12.Hull City Football Club has gone to the police to complain that

:00:13. > :00:15.a magazine article about owner Assem Allam is racist.

:00:16. > :00:18.The publisher of Tenfoot City says the comments were supposed to be

:00:19. > :00:21.funny and that people should stop being sensitive.

:00:22. > :00:23.But police are investigating the article, which contains a string

:00:24. > :00:26.of insults, including one which is sexually graphic.

:00:27. > :00:34.It's in this free magazine that the offending comments were made.

:00:35. > :00:38.An article written by an author known as Tenfoot Tiger talks

:00:39. > :00:40.about Hull City's season, but refers to the Allam

:00:41. > :00:44.family - who own the club - in a number of derogatory terms

:00:45. > :00:51.The words are too offensive to show on television,

:00:52. > :00:55.but one term refers to a sexual act with a camel.

:00:56. > :00:58.Roger Coates read the article while working as a

:00:59. > :01:03.He's so angry, he's reported it to the police.

:01:04. > :01:07.The three specifically relating to Mr Allam's

:01:08. > :01:16.Not whether he's a big man or a little man,

:01:17. > :01:21.has got green hair, but that he's of an Egyptian background.

:01:22. > :01:25.His race is Arabic, and these three remarks are very

:01:26. > :01:32.They're being obscene about his racial origin.

:01:33. > :01:34.Humberside Police has confirmed it's now investigating,

:01:35. > :01:37.and it's being treated as a hate incident.

:01:38. > :02:07.But one lawyer who's read the article disagrees,

:02:08. > :02:11.and says it can only take one person to be offended for police action.

:02:12. > :02:13.It doesn't have to be the person it was referring to,

:02:14. > :02:17.it can be anybody has read that and feels that way.

:02:18. > :02:20.Like I say, those words before - harassed, alarmed, distressed -

:02:21. > :02:26.But then the step up from that is effectively the fact

:02:27. > :02:31.that it is aggravated by the abusive term with regards to race.

:02:32. > :02:34.Tonight, Hull City said the comments are totally unacceptable

:02:35. > :02:37.and confirmed that it's raised the matter with Humberside Police

:02:38. > :02:43.In a statement, the club said, we are duty bound to report any

:02:44. > :02:46.incidents of racism, and are proud participants

:02:47. > :02:49.in a number of initiatives, including the Kick It Out campaign,

:02:50. > :02:53.the Premier League Equality Standard.

:02:54. > :02:56.The statement said, this sort of language is not acceptable

:02:57. > :03:07.A Grimsby fish factory that employs 750 people is being sold.

:03:08. > :03:11.Icelandic Seachill is one of the leading suppliers of chilled

:03:12. > :03:15.The company says the sale will have no direct impact on workers,

:03:16. > :03:18.but Unite union has called for an urgent meeting

:03:19. > :03:22.with management seeking assurances over jobs.

:03:23. > :03:24.Thousands of children in Lincolnshire could

:03:25. > :03:28.have the funding for their education cut by ?500 a year each.

:03:29. > :03:31.That's according to the National Union Of Teachers,

:03:32. > :03:35.which is warning there'll be fewer teachers and more mixed-age classes

:03:36. > :03:39.if a new Government funding package is put in place.

:03:40. > :03:45.Rural schools have long complained that when it comes to funding,

:03:46. > :03:51.The Government is planning to reform the system and make it fairer.

:03:52. > :03:53.But at this village school near Boston, they say the Government

:03:54. > :03:59.We're going to be suffering something like about a ?30,000

:04:00. > :04:05.That would probably mean we have to lose one class.

:04:06. > :04:08.So rather than seven year groups, it would have to be six,

:04:09. > :04:12.and therefore you finish up with mixed age groups across the school.

:04:13. > :04:15.Some schools appear to benefit from the new formula, but according

:04:16. > :04:18.to the National Union Of Teachers, by 2019, Lincolnshire will face

:04:19. > :04:24.a real-terms cut to its education budget of nearly ?45 million.

:04:25. > :04:28.This would mean around ?500 less to be spent on each pupil,

:04:29. > :04:33.and would equate to a loss of just over 1200 teachers

:04:34. > :04:40.Schools will have to make decisions, for example, to cut subjects.

:04:41. > :04:44.Probably no sixth form provision, that will have to be looked at.

:04:45. > :04:48.If you haven't got the teachers, they aren't good to be

:04:49. > :04:53.able to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.

:04:54. > :04:54.Lincolnshire is a poorly funded-authority in

:04:55. > :04:58.We've lobbied long and hard at the county council that school

:04:59. > :05:00.funding should be increased for it to be fair.

:05:01. > :05:02.And therefore we do not consider that any school

:05:03. > :05:04.in Lincolnshire should be losing under the proposals,

:05:05. > :05:07.and that's the response we've firmly put back to Government.

:05:08. > :05:10.But the Government has dismissed the NUT's figures as misleading.

:05:11. > :05:32.In a statement, the Department for Education said...

:05:33. > :05:34.Despite assurances from the Government that the level

:05:35. > :05:38.of funding is higher than it's ever been, as schools like this one,

:05:39. > :05:42.they're adamant that the new formula is likely to lead to redundancies

:05:43. > :05:45.and, ultimately, to affect the quality of education

:05:46. > :05:56.Many of the 3000 people who went naked on a July morning last year

:05:57. > :05:58.in Hull for the artist Spencer Tunick

:05:59. > :06:00.have seen the final work hanging in a gallery tonight.

:06:01. > :06:03.The so called Sea Of Hull filled the main streets with blue and green

:06:04. > :06:06.people and is now an exhibit in the Ferens Art Gallery.

:06:07. > :06:10.The images have been seen around the world.

:06:11. > :06:13.I knew about Spencer's work anyway, so as soon as I heard this

:06:14. > :06:22.So actually taking part and waiting and seeing it in its final

:06:23. > :06:28.I leave a city like Hull and I don't really know until afterwards

:06:29. > :06:34.I think they've had a great experience.

:06:35. > :06:36.Now the weather forecast with Owain Wyn Evans.

:06:37. > :06:39.It's not looking bad for the weekend.

:06:40. > :06:42.High pressure in charge, keeping things mostly settled.

:06:43. > :06:44.Overnight we have this thing, a week weather front,

:06:45. > :06:46.moving to the south, clearing us, and turning

:06:47. > :06:50.Lows of seven Celsus, so not desperately cold,

:06:51. > :06:54.but it will feel chilly first thing tomorrow.

:06:55. > :06:57.Some brightness then, just some showers drifting from the north,

:06:58. > :07:17.Temperatures getting to 11 Celsius with a bit of a northerly breeze.

:07:18. > :07:19.Towards Sunday, this area of low pressure moves to us,

:07:20. > :07:22.swinging this weather front our way, bringing some cloud and rain.

:07:23. > :07:25.But next week, a big change, it gets a lot colder

:07:26. > :07:28.That's all for now, we'll be back with your

:07:29. > :07:34.Until then, have a very good evening.

:07:35. > :07:38.marathon. Here is the outlook for the weather for the next few days

:07:39. > :07:44.and Helen Willetts has the National forecast.

:07:45. > :07:54.While unusual to see snow in May, it will be a shock to the system. We've

:07:55. > :07:57.seen some interesting contrast. 19 degrees cost is in Scotland in the

:07:58. > :08:05.sunshine today. In the sunshine only 11. The differences we are behind a

:08:06. > :08:08.cold weather front. Seeing a stepped down in temperatures. The cold air

:08:09. > :08:12.filtering sound so there will be a widespread ground frost across the

:08:13. > :08:19.country. The week weather front still with us so we could cheat

:08:20. > :08:22.patchy mist and fog. The best chance of seeing the meteor shower

:08:23. > :08:27.overnight will be in those clear skies further north. A better chance

:08:28. > :08:30.for south overnight. We start Saturday morning with the line of

:08:31. > :08:34.cloud, the weather front from Northern Ireland through Wales, the

:08:35. > :08:36.Midlands coming the south-east. The clear air following the weather
