:01:06. > :01:09.BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend attracts headline acts and music lovers

:01:14. > :01:18.After years of rumours, Radio 1's flagship event will be
:01:19. > :01:21.coming to Burton Constable Hall in May as part of the
:01:22. > :01:25.City Of Culture celebrations with headliners announced, Little Mix,
:01:26. > :01:32.We are just thrilled at the opportunity.
:01:33. > :01:36.In the '60s there was some all-night rock concerts put on by my dad.
:01:37. > :01:39.It's an historic house but it's a very, very live place.
:01:40. > :01:45.It's a great opportunity for young people throughout the region
:01:46. > :01:48.to have their first taste, or another taste a the great music
:01:49. > :01:51.festival and on top of that it continues to advertise the city
:01:52. > :01:55.and the region as a great place to come and visit.
:01:56. > :01:59.Right now I'm stood in the exact location where Kings of Leon
:02:00. > :02:02.and Little Mix will be performing on the main stage
:02:03. > :02:06.and in the background you can see Burton Constable Hall standing tall
:02:07. > :02:11.and proud where organisers say this was the only location that was big
:02:12. > :02:13.enough locally to cater for the 50,000 people that will be
:02:14. > :02:20.We are going to be using roughly 50 acres of this and then we have
:02:21. > :02:28.got the main grounds, the riding school block and then
:02:29. > :02:32.Planning on where the fencing is going to be, where the roadway
:02:33. > :02:35.is going to be because there is a big roadway to go ub.
:02:36. > :02:38.That's going to take about eight days to put into place.
:02:39. > :02:40.There is four months to get Burton Constable ready.
:02:41. > :02:44.The all-important ticket information is still to be announced along
:02:45. > :02:47.with more acts but it is another top event coming to
:02:48. > :02:56.He's also helped to organise music events at Burton Constable.
:02:57. > :02:59.How important is this event in terms of putting Hull
:03:00. > :03:13.It is fabulous for the area. It is fabulous for Bolton Constable Hall
:03:14. > :03:19.and Hull. It is such a good venue. It is a venue that has recently been
:03:20. > :03:23.refurbished, it is perfect. This is a big festival, can they handle
:03:24. > :03:27.that? It is the done thing these days. Lots of stately homes have
:03:28. > :03:32.festivals. For the last 11 years I have been posting it at Leeds
:03:33. > :03:37.Festival. Bramham Park is similar in structure. That has worked really
:03:38. > :03:44.well. It is double the distance outside Leeds as that Constable is
:03:45. > :03:51.from Hull. What kind of music can we expect? It will be new music which
:03:52. > :04:02.is what BBC Introducing specialise in. Then Kings of Leon will pull a
:04:03. > :04:12.big crowd. There will be a lot of other acts yet to be announced. I
:04:13. > :04:15.know... What about local bands? I represent BBC Introducing and that
:04:16. > :04:23.is what we do. Nothing has been announced yet. If people go to our

:05:06. > :05:11.uncommon and after confirming that Ryan Mason fractured his skull last
:05:12. > :05:13.night, Hull City have offered a further bulletin
:05:14. > :05:20.They say Ryan Mason has been visited by the club doctor.
:05:21. > :05:22.He has been speaking about the incident, he will be
:05:23. > :05:25.monitored by the hospital staff in the coming days and his family
:05:26. > :05:30.say they have been overwhelmed by the support they have had.
:05:31. > :05:32.The severity of the injury is not common in football and this
:05:33. > :05:37.was the reaction of one former professional on Match Of The Day.
:05:38. > :05:41.I think they realised straightaway how bad this was and our thoughts
:05:42. > :05:46.It's a terrible thing to see on a football pitch.
:05:47. > :05:51.Of course Gary Cahill was just innocent in going for the ball.
:05:52. > :05:55.It was a sickening challenge and let's hope he gets back on that
:05:56. > :05:59.Since Mason was carried from the field, the football world
:06:00. > :06:02.has taken to social media to express concern.
