:00:08. > :00:12.Clear-up work is continuing at a farm in Lincolnshire

:00:13. > :00:17.Thousands of turkeys have been affected at a farm

:00:18. > :00:22.Many of the birds have already died, the rest are being culled.

:00:23. > :00:25.Officials have been on the site throughout the day,

:00:26. > :00:27.continuing their investigations into the source of the outbreak and

:00:28. > :00:36.Jill Archbold sent this from the site.

:00:37. > :00:39.Just days ago, there were 5000 turkeys on this farm near Louth.

:00:40. > :00:44.Today, those left were humanely culled.

:00:45. > :00:47.Vets and animal welfare officers are amongst the few

:00:48. > :00:59.Efforts were made to contain the same strain of virus that's

:01:00. > :01:13.For the neighbouring landowner this means that he will need to keep an

:01:14. > :01:16.eye on his geese and other birds. We've got a list of symptoms and we

:01:17. > :01:22.just have to keep an eye out for them. They've gone around the houses

:01:23. > :01:30.and put the exclusion zones in so I'm confident that it will be

:01:31. > :01:35.contained. They reacted quickly. The turkeys will leave the farm in

:01:36. > :01:41.specially sealed vehicle. The farm will be disinfected. Any poultry

:01:42. > :01:48.keepers have been asked to give the birds inside. It's a bit shocking. I

:01:49. > :01:54.didn't realise it was a cross road. We're supposed to keep our chickens

:01:55. > :02:01.in for 30 days. That is very hard. They make a lot more mess inside and

:02:02. > :02:04.outside. Two years ago, the same strain of bird flu was found on a

:02:05. > :02:13.dark brooding farm in East Yorkshire. The has never been any

:02:14. > :02:22.cases of it affecting humans. Defra have made steps to contain this

:02:23. > :02:26.disease. There is a surveillance on and a protection zone. People who

:02:27. > :02:33.own animals in this area are restricted from moving them. Bird

:02:34. > :02:40.keepers are being asked to lookout for the signs of avian influenza.

:02:41. > :02:45.The most recent case in the UK was in Scotland in January. That was

:02:46. > :02:46.successfully contained to one single farm. Defra will be hopeful that

:02:47. > :02:50.this same will be true of this farm. Plenty of football results to bring

:02:51. > :02:52.you from this afternoon. Hull City continued their miserable

:02:53. > :02:55.run of league form, losing Scunthorpe United had a good

:02:56. > :03:05.afternoon in League One, In League Two, Grimsby Town lost

:03:06. > :03:08.1-0 away to Doncaster. In the National League, Lincoln City

:03:09. > :03:11.continued their great form, beating closest rivals Tranmere

:03:12. > :03:13.to go top of the table. And North Ferriby United beat

:03:14. > :03:18.Maidstone away, by 2-1. A permanent gallery will be opened

:03:19. > :03:20.to honour the life and work of the Yorkshire artist David

:03:21. > :03:22.Hockney. The painter, who spent a large part

:03:23. > :03:25.of his life living in Bridlington, A year-round exhibition will open

:03:26. > :03:31.in Cartwright Hall in his hometown We'll be opening with a weekend

:03:32. > :03:41.of celebration events That will start off a whole year's

:03:42. > :03:48.worth of Hockney related programmes. Now time for the weather

:03:49. > :03:51.with Abbie Dewhurst. Things should stay largely

:03:52. > :03:53.dry overnight tonight. We'll see some clear skies initially

:03:54. > :03:56.and this will allow for some mist and fog to form and maybe even

:03:57. > :04:00.the odd patch of isolated frost rurally, where temperatures

:04:01. > :04:02.take a bit of a tumble. A bit of cloud moving

:04:03. > :04:04.into the south of the region. Overnight lows of 3 or 4 degrees,

:04:05. > :04:08.so a chilly start to the day tomorrow and a cloudier

:04:09. > :04:10.day all round. In saying that, areas to the south

:04:11. > :04:13.of the region should Maybe just the odd outbreak of light

:04:14. > :04:18.rain along the east coast, with temperatures up a degree or two

:04:19. > :04:21.on today at around 7, The outlook for the rest

:04:22. > :04:25.of the week, well, high-pressure with us for the first half

:04:26. > :04:28.of the week, so it should stay quite However, the second half

:04:29. > :04:33.of the week will turn windier and we are going to see some

:04:34. > :04:37.rain as well. And finally, a reminder that in less

:04:38. > :04:40.than an hour's time the final of Strictly Come Dancing is live

:04:41. > :04:42.on BBC One. It's down to the last three couples,

:04:43. > :04:45.and it'll be brother versus sister, as Grimsby's Joanne

:04:46. > :04:48.and Kevin Clifton go head to head, with their partners Ore Oduba

:04:49. > :04:53.and Louise Redknapp. We'll be back tomorrow evening

:04:54. > :04:56.with your latest news updates. Until then, enjoy

:04:57. > :05:16.the rest of your night. if your Saturday was spent under

:05:17. > :05:19.grey skies peering through mist and fog, it is likely those conditions

:05:20. > :05:23.will persist into the night, perhaps tomorrow morning. Not everyone had

:05:24. > :05:26.that, though, a brighter view from this afternoon in Northamptonshire

:05:27. > :05:31.but this is how it looked in Salisbury. Thank you to our Weather

:05:32. > :05:35.Watchers as ever. Some dense patches of possible overnight, in the of

:05:36. > :05:37.England and Wales. For the North of Northern
