:00:19. > :00:24.Already parts of the city have been turned into a light show,

:00:25. > :00:30.as Hull begins its year in the spotlight.

:00:38. > :00:44.moments like the Blitz, the annual Hull Fair

:01:04. > :01:06.ways it's great to celebrate Hull and this is a great night.

:01:38. > :01:41.Linda Levantiz is the landlady at Hull's Bonny Boat pub,

:01:42. > :01:45.but tonight, she will use her two iPods to entertain 25,000 people

:01:46. > :01:51.I'm not a DJ, I just play music in the pub and, hopefully,

:01:52. > :01:57.If I can see who is in the crowd I can play for them.

:01:58. > :02:00.If not, I'll just play what they can sing along to,

:02:01. > :02:05.Getting ready for that main event, two barges full of fireworks heading

:02:06. > :02:26.With 15,000 on board, 2017 really will come in with a bang.

:03:19. > :03:23.exporting. We have 25,000 people coming to enjoy the fireworks

:03:28. > :03:33.centre using the bars and restaurants. Hull is on the up. How

:04:04. > :04:10.which start in just over an hour. Many of the 25,000 ticket holders

:04:11. > :04:13.are already here and have been picking the best to watch the show

:04:14. > :04:17.from. It is a great opportunity for the people who were born in the city

:04:18. > :04:23.to celebrate the city that they were born into. How do you feel about

:06:58. > :07:00.light winds, still breezy towards the north and north-east with a few
