:00:29. > :00:31.That's if enough money can be raised to keep the machine

:00:32. > :00:35.Rosa the Robot uses a GPS-like system to map the human brain

:00:36. > :00:37.and carry out neuro-surgery with an accuracy previously

:00:38. > :00:40.A fundraising campaign is now under way to cover its running costs.

:00:41. > :00:45.Leanne Hall started suffering from epileptic seizures

:00:46. > :00:47.after developing a brain tumour as a child.

:00:48. > :00:48.Despite having three open brain surgery

:00:49. > :00:51.operations her life is severely restricted.

:00:52. > :01:06.Depending which seizure I've had depends on what I can do that day.

:01:07. > :01:08.I am not allowed to go out the house on my own,

:01:09. > :01:13.If I do too much I get too tired and then I end up having

:01:14. > :01:17.But there is hope for Leanne in the form of a

:01:18. > :01:19.robot which carries out the most challenging brain surgery.

:01:20. > :01:21.The Royal Hallamshire in Sheffield is the first

:01:22. > :01:24.I know it sounds like science fiction but it

:01:25. > :01:33.This is the ROSA robot, it's incredibly clever.

:01:34. > :01:35.It makes a 3-D map of a person's brain and then

:01:36. > :01:38.can pinpoint extremely accurately where to do the surgery.

:01:39. > :01:47.It is much less invasive and it means the

:01:48. > :01:57.If there is a way we can do complicated

:01:58. > :02:00.brain operations without having to send the patient to intensive care

:02:01. > :02:02.post operatively without being a general anaesthetic, these reduce

:02:03. > :02:06.On top of that, if you add that we can get better quality, more

:02:07. > :02:09.precise information as well, Ihope then it is a bonus.

:02:10. > :02:12.But they need a quarter of ?1 million to keep the

:02:13. > :02:17.So a fundraising campaign has been launched and ?50,000 was donated.

:02:18. > :02:19.It means Leanne can be treated by the

:02:20. > :02:21.robot which will hopefully be her cure.

:02:22. > :02:23.When I went to Sheffield they can kind of give

:02:24. > :02:37.the tunnel and I have never had the kind of chance to say

:02:38. > :02:41.I just find that amazing that something can do that.

:02:44. > :02:46.Humberside Police are reassuring the public, after a spate of car

:03:20. > :03:21.We have put those reassurance patrols in place.

:03:22. > :03:23.Again, thank you again for the public response we did have

:03:24. > :03:27.The incidence of this nature are rare and I are pleased

:03:28. > :03:31.to say that we did respond to that and bring it to a safe conclusion.

:03:32. > :03:32.Public safety is our ultimate responsibility.

:03:33. > :03:34.Tonnes of rubbish ended up on the beach after

:03:35. > :03:38.Today around 30 volunteers spent several hours clearing up things

:04:24. > :04:27.A chance of seeing a few showers to end the day but tomorrow it

:04:28. > :04:29.is going to turn out to be rather wet.

:04:30. > :04:33.I think it will be the worst day of the two over the weekend so

:04:34. > :04:40.we have seen some distant light of sunshine today but a few showers

:04:41. > :04:42.will push on from the West led to this evening.

:04:43. > :04:44.Overnight may be a few clipping western parts per for

:04:45. > :04:48.most will be a dry night with clear spells and temperatures down to four

:04:49. > :04:54.For tomorrow it will be a fine start to the day the

:04:55. > :04:57.cloud is going to increase in the south as we go to the day

:04:58. > :05:00.and will be outbreaks of rain pushing across.

:05:01. > :05:03.Some will be heavy at times but there will still be some

:05:04. > :05:15.Cooler than today at seven degrees or eight degrees.

:05:16. > :05:22.Hello. I could have put almost anything in this sphere today such

:05:23. > :05:27.was the variety. Some of you saw showers but the cloud is sitting

:05:28. > :05:31.lower in the atmosphere. It was nice enough this morning across the

:05:32. > :05:34.Midlands, not just here in Birmingham, but in that slot, it

:05:35. > :05:38.filled in disappointingly, the showers were always there in Wales

:05:39. > :05:43.and the South West and they crept further into the yeast, and further

:05:44. > :05:47.into the North. All of that is driven by this low pressure, we have

:05:48. > :05:49.had wind rain and snow in Scotland which becomes confined to the

:05:50. > :05:53.Shetland Islands overnight making room for another band of weather in

:05:54. > :05:58.the South West and in between, a touch of frost and perhaps a bit of

:05:59. > :06:02.fog. This is how we start the day on Sunday, the rain and wind confined

:06:03. > :06:06.to the Shetland Islands, elsewhere the good news story in Scotland,

:06:07. > :06:11.Northern Ireland and the north of England is that you will get to see

:06:12. > :06:12.some shots -- sunshine. A much improved day than
