:01:08. > :01:10.just simply don't generate enough income to make the centre viable

:01:19. > :01:22.The plans have been criticised by many who use the sports hall.

:01:26. > :01:28.beds, they are targeted at a very specific individuals.
:01:29. > :01:34.I think those facilities are already well catered for in the city.
:01:35. > :01:37.The hall is used by a Chinese community group that faces
:01:38. > :01:43.A lot of those Chinese are in the catering trade,
:01:44. > :01:45.as you know, they've got takeaways, restaurants.
:01:46. > :01:48.Being able to find a facility available the afternoon
:01:49. > :01:54.They're not able to join clubs that are going on in the evenings.
:01:55. > :01:57.Across the region, councils are having to make difficult choices.
:01:58. > :02:00.Grimsby Ice Rink is run by North East Lincolnshire Council,
:02:01. > :02:03.at a cost of more than ?80,000 a year.
:02:04. > :02:06.It's due to close in August, unless a community group can
:02:07. > :02:10.Experts say it's part of a national trend,
:02:11. > :02:13.with budget cuts forcing councils to either close or reorganise
:02:14. > :02:18.And there's a danger that communities could be badly affected.

:02:22. > :02:25.goes on within these leisure centres.
:02:26. > :02:27.They provide a really key public service and a really key support
:02:28. > :02:29.network for communities and families, especially
:02:30. > :02:37.In Lincoln the council says it's working to find alternative venues
:02:38. > :02:39.for all the clubs that use Birchwood.
:02:40. > :02:44.But many here feel that their interests are taking second place.
