:00:00. > :00:13.Labour is facing the "fight of its life" in the forthcoming

:00:14. > :00:15.That's according to Grimsby's MP Melanie Onn.

:00:16. > :00:18.Lincolnshire's politicians have been debating some of the key issues

:00:19. > :00:19.in the campaign including Brexit and Immigration.

:00:20. > :00:24.More from our Political Editor Tim Iredale.

:00:25. > :00:27.The first weekend of the general election campaign has seen local

:00:28. > :00:29.Lincolnshire Conservatives are hoping voters will support

:00:30. > :00:31.Theresa May's bid to secure a stronger mandate

:00:32. > :00:48.The key thing with this general election is a vote for the

:00:49. > :00:52.Conservatives gives Theresa May a stronger hand with which to the

:00:53. > :00:53.shaped our best deal as leave the European Union.

:00:54. > :00:59.But Ukip claim the government can't be trusted on immigration.

:01:00. > :01:04.The Prime Minister is backsliding. One of the biggest issues was

:01:05. > :01:05.immigration and we will have uncontrolled immigration after

:01:06. > :01:07.Brexit with this Tory government. And do Labour MPs really

:01:08. > :01:15.expect to turnaround There is absolutely no doubt that

:01:16. > :01:20.this is going to be the fight of our lives. It is going to be incredibly

:01:21. > :01:21.tough. However, you don't go into an election admitting any kind of

:01:22. > :01:23.defeat whatsoever. We'll hear from other parties

:01:24. > :01:25.as the campaign progresses, but it's clear that Lincolnshire

:01:26. > :01:28.is set for a long election battle. A company which makes safe havens

:01:29. > :01:30.to protect workers from terrorist attacks has won a Queens Award

:01:31. > :01:32.for International Trade. Crewshield in Hull say the Citadel

:01:33. > :01:35.looks like a shipping container, but is equipped to allow staff

:01:36. > :01:38.to hide safely from terrorists. Our Business Correspondent

:01:39. > :01:54.Leanne Brown has more. It looks like an ordinary shipping

:01:55. > :02:01.container but inside, it's a different story. As you can see, the

:02:02. > :02:06.corn -- container doors are standard but they are disconnected. The main

:02:07. > :02:12.locking system obviously is on the inside. You can secure yourself when

:02:13. > :02:19.you go in and what you have here is a sliding door. Once you come in,

:02:20. > :02:23.you are totally protected. You have got all the communications you

:02:24. > :02:29.require and battery banks. It looks like any other container. It just

:02:30. > :02:33.fits into its environment. The terrorist would never know you

:02:34. > :02:36.wording here. They are designed for workers on ships under threat from

:02:37. > :02:43.pirates or gas plants like this one in Algeria where 40 people were

:02:44. > :02:48.killed by terrorists in 2013. Each unit can hide more than 20 people

:02:49. > :02:52.and they come complete with a toilet, first aid, air conditioning

:02:53. > :02:57.and hidden surveillance. The cameras are hidden in tiny little holes,

:02:58. > :03:00.allowing you to monitor the threat from any terrorist. And there's not

:03:01. > :03:05.much chance of them getting inside. If someone put a hand grenade on the

:03:06. > :03:10.roof, this is literally what it would do. It would blow the top off,

:03:11. > :03:15.but then the steel on there, as you can see, is unaffected. The company

:03:16. > :03:17.has to be secretive about who has their creations but they have been

:03:18. > :03:21.used and they have been successful. Large crowds have turned out in Hull

:03:22. > :03:23.to see a reenactment of a pivotal moment that started

:03:24. > :03:26.the English Civil War History enthusiasts put

:03:27. > :03:29.on a performance showing how the city gates were closed

:03:30. > :03:31.to royalist forces in 1642. The sights and sounds

:03:32. > :03:39.of the 17th century, grabbing the attention

:03:40. > :03:55.of Sunday shoppers in Hull. It was really nice marching. You

:03:56. > :03:59.could see people who did not know this was on, just out doing some

:04:00. > :04:03.shopping and their jaws hit the floor as we all marched past. I

:04:04. > :04:05.think a lot of them were wondering if we have had a time slip and they

:04:06. > :04:08.have gone back to the 17th century. It's exactly 375 years since Hull

:04:09. > :04:11.turned it's back on a King, an act which led to English Civil

:04:12. > :04:13.War. Today, hundreds gathered to see

:04:14. > :04:25.the moment re-enacted. It is nice for people to get

:04:26. > :04:30.really good. Since we became city of really good. Since we became city of

:04:31. > :04:33.is great that lots and lots of is great that lots and lots of

:04:34. > :04:34.people are coming here and seeing what a great city it is.

:04:35. > :04:36.The story of Sir John Hotham's act of defiance

:04:37. > :04:39.was performed at the place where it happened, by the remains

:04:40. > :04:52.It was kind of looking a bit sad really. Glitter was a. Hopefully

:04:53. > :05:00.this new space with the banners and the interpretation that is going in

:05:01. > :05:01.will signal a new story. And people using it more often.

:05:02. > :05:03.Work to preserve Beverley Gate is nearly complete.

:05:04. > :05:05.Hull's current residents gathered by it to see a piece

:05:06. > :05:07.of their cities history brought back to life.

:05:08. > :05:10.In Rugby League, Hull FC beat league leaders Castleford this afternoon.

:05:11. > :05:20.They had prop Liam Watts sent off in the first half but won 26-24.

:05:21. > :05:29.Time now for the weather forecast. You may have seen a bit of this

:05:30. > :05:34.today. It was a decent day with some bright spells. Overnight, we are

:05:35. > :05:42.switching gears a bit. We will see some spots of rain. Turning a bit

:05:43. > :05:45.breezy. A cloudy damp start to the day tomorrow with further outbreaks

:05:46. > :05:50.of rain. Something a bit brighter later on. Top temperature 11

:05:51. > :05:55.Celsius. It will turn colder over the next few days. A few wintry

:05:56. > :06:04.showers. I will be back with more at 10:20pm.

:06:05. > :06:20.We had a beautiful day across most of UK today, but there's a taste of

:06:21. > :06:24.winter on the way. Even a little bit of snow. Its forecast for one or two

:06:25. > :06:27.places. This is the forecast tonight. We're watching this cold

:06:28. > :06:32.front, this will line, this weather front. Everything to the north of

:06:33. > :06:37.that line is cold as dreaming straight from the Arctic. --

:06:38. > :06:38.streaming straight from the Arctic. You can
