:00:09. > :00:14.trial for the inmate who nearly killed him.
:00:14. > :00:18.Is the 30-year mystery of how this woman died about to be solved?
:00:18. > :00:21.Police prepare to exhume an unknown body found on the North York Moors.
:00:21. > :00:23.A race against time to save Darlington Football Club. Can the
:00:23. > :00:26.rescue effort raise 500,000 in a week?
:00:26. > :00:30.And I'll be looking to the skies in Northumberland, hoping for a repeat
:00:30. > :00:36.of last night's spectacular Northern Lights.
:00:36. > :00:38.In tonight's Team Talk. How the fans turned out in force to try to

:00:51. > :01:05.
:01:05. > :01:09.ten. He was stabbed and left for dead. Then watched as Kevin Thakrar
:01:09. > :01:13.the man who nearly killed him was cleared of attempted murder. The
:01:13. > :01:16.jury accepted Thakrar's claim he was suffering from stress. Now
:01:16. > :01:20.Prison Officer crying Craig Wylde and his family have travelled to
:01:20. > :01:23.London to meet the Prisons Minister to demand a retrial. It emerged the
:01:23. > :01:32.police were investigating claims that the jury at the trial had been
:01:32. > :01:36.tampered with. Supported by his family, Craig Wylde came to the
:01:36. > :01:41.capital with one simple aim. He wants to see the man who tried to
:01:41. > :01:47.murder him prosecuted. I can't find the words to say what it's done to
:01:47. > :01:51.the family. It has turned us upside down on our heads, like I say,
:01:51. > :01:55.everything's happened since the attack, which I have been left
:01:55. > :01:57.disabled with, in constant pain, I only have about 15% of hand
:01:57. > :02:02.movement. I won't get anything other than that. Craig and his
:02:02. > :02:06.colleague were stabbed by this man. Kevin Thakrar. Dubbed one of
:02:07. > :02:10.Britain's most dangerous prisoner, he was serving three life sentences
:02:11. > :02:14.in Frankland for the gangland killing of three men. Last year, he
:02:14. > :02:18.was cleared of attempting to murder Craig because he claim he was
:02:18. > :02:22.suffering from stress. This morning, the prison officers' union said it
:02:22. > :02:26.was now in talks about bringing a private prosecution against Thakrar.
:02:26. > :02:30.The union will not take this lying down and on behalf of those injured

:02:33. > :02:39.of prisoner, we will look to take a private prosecution out against
:02:39. > :02:45.this man. At the meeting with Crispin Blunt they called for
:02:45. > :02:53.Thakrar to be retried after claims the jury had been tampered with
:02:53. > :02:58.What happened at trial was very strange. And certainly not an
:02:58. > :03:01.anticipated outcome. After more than an hour of talks the family
:03:01. > :03:05.said they were encouraged by the minister's comments..
:03:05. > :03:12.acknowledged the fact he was a dangerous prisoner. He will remain
:03:12. > :03:17.in the system which is good. He needs to be there. For Prison
:03:17. > :03:21.Officer's safety. Other than that, it was talk about things which may
:03:21. > :03:24.help in the regime of jail and how things should be the same across
:03:24. > :03:27.the board. Hopefully some things we have mentioned will be taken
:03:27. > :03:31.onboard and make prison life easier for not just the prisoner, but for
:03:31. > :03:34.the staff as well. The Ministry of Justice says the decision over a
:03:34. > :03:38.retrial will be made by the Crown Prosecution Service. But the family

:03:50. > :03:54.operation to exhume a body begins at midnight in a North Yorkshire
:03:54. > :03:58.cemetery. Detectives hope it will help them identify the remains of a
:03:59. > :04:03.woman's body found more than 30 years ago. The naked corpse was
:04:04. > :04:11.dumped close to Sutton Bank in 1981. How she died has remained a mystery
:04:11. > :04:16.ever since. Well, it was here at Malton cemetery where the remains
:04:17. > :04:21.of the woman were buried, way back in 1981. Of course, there was very
:04:21. > :04:25.little available, if anything then, in the way of DNA science technique,
:04:25. > :04:29.but with the advance of those over the year, police are hoping that
:04:29. > :04:33.the dig, which will be started in about five-and-a-half hours time,
:04:33. > :04:41.will bring some answers to the mystery of who the woman was, in
:04:41. > :04:45.Sutton Bank. Hidden in undergrowth near the side of a minor road, the

:04:53. > :04:58.body detectives hope advances in science will enable them not only
:04:58. > :05:03.to identify the woman, but also how she died. We have been reviewing
:05:03. > :05:06.the original investigation. In addition to that we have been
:05:06. > :05:09.contacted by two members of the public whether it is a member of
:05:09. > :05:14.their family. In view of that we have made an application to the
:05:14. > :05:18.coroner, and for the exhume Asian of the body. In the initial
:05:18. > :05:21.investigation, a 3-dimensional wax reconstruction was made of the
:05:21. > :05:26.woman's head. It is believed she had been in her late 30s and the

:05:29. > :05:35.identify individual, so that family can know where their loved ones
:05:35. > :05:40.were and how they died. So it is valuable from that viewpoint. Again,
:05:40. > :05:42.as you probably point out we have to establish where a crime was
:05:42. > :05:47.mitted tkwhr. The operation beginning at midnight is expected
:05:47. > :05:51.to take up to seven hours and the remains will be taken away to
:05:51. > :05:54.forensic science labs, to investigate and see if they can

:06:43. > :06:47.accommodating the spending cuts more needs to be done Bearing in
:06:47. > :06:52.mind nearly 85% of the budget is about staffing, it is going to be
:06:52. > :06:56.very tricky, we have got a long way on it so far, we still have some
:06:57. > :07:02.difficult challenges ahead, but I am absolutely adamant that we will
:07:02. > :07:04.retain front line policing, we will keep the quality high of the

:07:22. > :07:26.December. Vodafone say two electrical faults in the mast are

:07:37. > :07:43.Darlington football club own and run by the local community. The
:07:43. > :07:48.administrator of the club was given it is a scheme that would need to
:07:48. > :07:52.raise 500,000 and time is running out. The move comes after
:07:52. > :07:59.Saturday's game drew a much larger crowd than normal. Nearly 6,000.
:07:59. > :08:03.Our business correspondent reports. After the unusually hieling crowd
:08:03. > :08:08.on Saturday, Darlington's ground returned to its usual empty self
:08:08. > :08:12.today. But away from the stadium, plans were being hatched. Local
:08:12. > :08:16.business, the MP, the local paper, and the club's rescue group seem to
:08:16. > :08:22.be backing a move that could see Darlington owned and run by the
:08:22. > :08:26.local community. But 500,000 has to be raised in short order to
:08:26. > :08:30.persuade the administrator that the plan is viable. It is a tall order.
:08:30. > :08:34.We need to raise something like 500,000 in order to persuade the
:08:34. > :08:37.administrator it is a credible plan. We have discussed bringing in
:08:37. > :08:43.supporters direct, to help us with that, and that plan has been worked
:08:43. > :08:48.through at the moment. We need to reck that Wrexham fans raised
:08:48. > :08:53.100,000 in one day. The story and the images have gone viral they
:08:54. > :08:57.have gone worldwide. So, I think what we are looking at, is all the
:08:57. > :09:02.different ways to skin the fundraising cat. I wouldn't see it
:09:02. > :09:06.himed to the North East. The amount of money needed appears colossal
:09:06. > :09:10.but it is the eqivlend of anyone in town chipping in a fiver each. So
:09:10. > :09:16.would they? It is feasible, I suppose, but if you don't have much
:09:16. > :09:21.like, you can't afford to give it. I think it is reasonable. Why not?.
:09:21. > :09:25.I would do, to save the club. I'm not from Darlington but I would
:09:25. > :09:29.support them. So there is a start. However, the cash probably has to
:09:29. > :09:37.be raised or pledged within a week. To persuade the administrator that
:09:37. > :09:41.the plan is little more than a pipe dream. And there will be more on
:09:41. > :09:47.Darlington in Team Talk. More than a nift of the controversial PIP
:09:47. > :09:49.breast implants used by the NHS were fitted at one trust in County
:09:49. > :09:53.Durham. The County Durham and Darlington Foundation Trust fitted
:09:53. > :09:59.more than 400, putting it near the top of the NHS list. The trust has
:09:59. > :10:04.pointed out the implants did have a European quality mark. The vast

:10:26. > :10:30.She had her implants taken out, after they ruptured less than two
:10:30. > :10:35.years after being fitted. So when they did remove your implants, what
:10:35. > :10:41.did they find? A mess, that's what the doctor said, a mess, and two
:10:41. > :10:45.golf ball sized lymph nodes full of this silicon. So they said they
:10:45. > :10:50.used two litres of saline to wash it out or clean it out.
:10:50. > :10:53.implants were banned in 2010. After they were found to contain
:10:53. > :10:58.industrial grade silicon. They were known to be cheaper than other

:11:04. > :11:10.says their surgeons fitted 638 PIP implants in total but stopped using
:11:10. > :11:15.them in 2008. In a stage, the trust says they were chosen because of
:11:15. > :11:19.clinical suitability. Quality of the product, and cost. They say
:11:19. > :11:27.their rupture rate is very low. The trust says it has written to all

:12:30. > :12:36.wintry weather later on. Now, a pile of old bone, or a precious
:12:36. > :12:40.part of our industrial heritage? If you know Whitby in North Yorkshire
:12:40. > :12:44.you will know the whale bone arch. The bones had to be replaced
:12:44. > :12:48.because of te derration they have been held in storage, and over

:14:21. > :14:28.Hopefully in a skip I think. What else can you do with them? They are

:17:34. > :17:37.And the fans turned out in force at the weekend.
:17:37. > :17:40.They certainly did, more than 5,500 of them, a great show of support

:18:06. > :18:07.
:18:07. > :18:12.once more. It means a great deal to me and. Everyone thought we would
:18:12. > :18:18.be killed off last week. I have never seen a crowd like it, people
:18:18. > :18:22.waiting to get them. People are coming from all over today and we
:18:22. > :18:28.appreciate their support. For more money we can get in now the better.
:18:28. > :18:31.Hopefully, we can keep going to the end of the season.
:18:31. > :18:34.Kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes as more than 5,500 supporters made

:18:37. > :18:43.Fleetwood Town as Danny Rose scored what proved to be the winner in the
:18:44. > :18:48.first half. A lot of young players out there, a great team spirit. It
:18:48. > :18:55.is a good result given the circumstances. People cannot fail
:18:55. > :19:03.to be impressed by the backing we have had from the supporters and
:19:03. > :19:09.the performance of the lads gave against a good side. Now fans wait
:19:09. > :19:12.and hope that this is a signal of a brighter financial future.
:19:12. > :19:16.And there will be lots more on the Darlington situation in tonight's
:19:16. > :19:18.Late Kick Off with Clem at 5 past 11. There's a rare TV interview
:19:18. > :19:21.with the Hartlepool chairman Ken Hodcroft, the front man for Pools'
:19:21. > :19:25.owners the Aberdeen-based firm Increased Oil Recovery, and he very
:19:25. > :19:30.has strong views on how to run a football club.
:19:30. > :19:37.We try and run this club like we try and once oil companies. And the
:19:37. > :19:42.oil business there is no sentiment. You have to be very careful. I do
:19:42. > :19:45.feel that more business attitudes have to come back to the running of
:19:45. > :19:52.football clubs. The Football League can make that happen if they have
:19:52. > :19:58.the guts to make it happen. I do have sympathy for Darlington, but
:19:58. > :20:03.the League has to say, if you fail, you are out. There is no rescue,
:20:03. > :20:09.you are gone. It works and business and it will work in football.
:20:09. > :20:12.the interesting interview that one. On to the rest of the football now,
:20:12. > :20:18.where we had just the one winner, although you would not have guessed
:20:18. > :20:22.it, if you had looked at the stats from the game.
:20:22. > :20:24.No you wouldn't! Look at this. Swansea had 64% possession to
:20:24. > :20:27.Sunderland's 36%, and they had twice as many shots on target,
:20:27. > :20:30.although it still was not that many! But the most important
:20:30. > :20:34.figures are the ones at the bottom there - the goals. Sunderland 2,
:20:34. > :20:36.Swansea 0. No point having the ball if you don't do anything with it.
:20:37. > :20:41.And that was Swansea's problem throughout the game. In fact, it
:20:41. > :20:46.has been their problem all season. Created lots of chances, but can't
