:00:04. > :00:08.Hello, and welcome to Monday's Look North. In the programme tonight.

:00:08. > :00:11.Marathon fire. It's been burning for three days, and could keep

:00:11. > :00:14.going all week. We are live at the scene.

:00:14. > :00:18.The row that's threatening to derail plans to stage World Cup

:00:18. > :00:22.Rugby League in West Cumbria. How eight months fighting for his

:00:22. > :00:25.benefits lead to another breakdown for this man.

:00:25. > :00:30.And the voice of experience. How care home resident Sarah played her

:00:30. > :00:33.part in bringing a new play to the stage.

:00:33. > :00:37.In sport - gunning for the Gunners - can Newcastle push Arsenal for

:00:37. > :00:40.Champions League football? And not for the first time

:00:40. > :00:50.Sunderland get the luck of the bounce against Liverpool to go 8th

:00:50. > :00:54.

:00:54. > :00:56.in the Premier League. Good evening.

:00:56. > :01:00.Roads were closed, businesses evacuated and people warned to stay

:01:00. > :01:04.inside their properties. Now - two days after a major blaze started on

:01:04. > :01:08.Teesside - fire crews remain at the scene. And they could be there all

:01:08. > :01:11.week. Thousands of tonnes of timber, at the Jigsaw Wood Recycling Plant

:01:11. > :01:15.near Middlesbrough, were set alight on Saturday lunchtime. Three people

:01:15. > :01:25.have been arrested on suspicion of arson. Our reporter, Stuart Whincup,

:01:25. > :01:27.

:01:27. > :01:33.is at the scene and joins us now. Stuart. Does let us do Sharia this

:01:33. > :01:38.size of the problem firefighters face here. -- let us show you. This

:01:38. > :01:43.is about the size of to fit all pitches. Fire fighters are trying

:01:43. > :01:47.just to contain it. The wind has been quite gentle so far, but it

:01:47. > :01:53.has changed in the last couple of hours and there are fears the fire

:01:53. > :01:57.could spread. Despite his huge distraction, it has been business

:01:58. > :02:01.as usual for people in Port Clarence.

:02:01. > :02:05.At its height fifty fire fighters tackled the blaze. The smoke could

:02:05. > :02:07.be seen for miles. This morning - two days on - the fire's still

:02:07. > :02:15.going strong and the smoke continues to drip through people's

:02:15. > :02:22.homes and businesses. This is the third time and it is atrocious. It

:02:22. > :02:28.should not be there. Where else would they allow it? Tell me that.

:02:28. > :02:33.All the houses are full of smoke. It is terrible and, especially with

:02:33. > :02:38.the children walking up and down the road. Small is getting in the

:02:38. > :02:41.Houses and damaging curtains and things. -- smoke.

:02:41. > :02:49.The tactics have changed. Fire fighters are no longer trying to

:02:49. > :02:53.put the blaze out - they're just trying to contain it. The heat from

:02:53. > :03:00.the fire is still very intense appear. You can only stay here for

:03:00. > :03:04.a couple of minutes. The thick plumes of smoke have been living up

:03:04. > :03:07.beyond the site and over the top of neighbouring houses. Despite the

:03:07. > :03:14.destruction - shops and business have re-opened as has the nearby

:03:14. > :03:19.school. Although children have been kept inside all day. This may go on

:03:19. > :03:24.for five days, so children would not be receiving education if we

:03:24. > :03:28.close the school. I spoke to the staff, they are fantastic, and the

:03:28. > :03:31.holiday to comment so we think it is business as usual.

:03:31. > :03:34.Three people - in their late teens and early twenties have been

:03:34. > :03:41.arrested on suspicion of arson - and have now been released on

:03:41. > :03:46.police bail pending further inquires. You are seeing 12,000

:03:46. > :03:51.tons of timber being built. This yard takes wood and shreds and

:03:51. > :03:56.sells it for chipboard. I spoke to the owner earlier and he is

:03:56. > :04:00.devastated. He says there has been a number of attacks by vandals in

:04:00. > :04:04.recent years. They have tried to prevent it but he said that trying

:04:05. > :04:09.to stop something like this is impossible.

:04:09. > :04:12.Amazing pictures, thank you for that.

:04:12. > :04:16.The BBC has learned that Whitehaven could lose out on being one of the

:04:16. > :04:19.venues for next year's Rugby League World Cup. The council is at a

:04:19. > :04:24.critical point in negotiations with Whitehaven Miners - which owns the

:04:24. > :04:27.land the new Pow Beck Stadium could be built on. If an agreement over

:04:27. > :04:36.the contract isn't made within the next few days, the site wouldn't be

:04:36. > :04:42.ready in time. Alison Freeman reports. The announcement was

:04:42. > :04:46.hugely popular in a rugby league town. Whitehaven's new and yet to

:04:46. > :04:52.be built stadium would host an international club as well as being

:04:52. > :04:57.a venue for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, but now all that has

:04:57. > :05:03.been thrown into doubt. It is understood that the honours of the

:05:03. > :05:07.access land want 750,000 for the development to take place. The

:05:07. > :05:11.partnership behind the development includes the council and the

:05:11. > :05:16.Whitehaven rugby league club and if they do not agree, it could delay

:05:16. > :05:20.the development which will signal the end of World Cup involvement.

:05:20. > :05:25.Neither the council nor the rugby league would speak on camera to

:05:25. > :05:28.take but confirm bigger stations where at a critical stage. I am

:05:28. > :05:34.very surprised because I would have thought the council would be

:05:34. > :05:39.fighting to get something like that in the area. I'm sure people are

:05:39. > :05:43.not aware of that, that in mind not be happening because everyone is

:05:43. > :05:46.cleared up for international activity in the town. Hopefully,

:05:46. > :05:54.they will pursue forward and it will go through. Everybody here

:05:54. > :06:01.would be a lot happier. It will bring people in from further afield.

:06:01. > :06:07.This would be a boost for the whole town. Any investment for the town,

:06:07. > :06:13.can only be good for the community. They governing body says it is

:06:13. > :06:17.getting ready to publish its schedule for the tournament in 2013.

:06:17. > :06:23.It has contingency plans in place in case Whitehaven stadium is not

:06:23. > :06:28.ready. Well the argument about the access land goes on, time ticks

:06:28. > :06:31.away and it could be spent on talks for developing the stadium.

:06:31. > :06:34.A woman has been jailed for life, after stabbing her brother to death

:06:34. > :06:37.so she could return to jail, because - she said - she had no

:06:37. > :06:40.friends outside. Claire Gray, who's 22, killed her 24 year-old brother,

:06:40. > :06:45.Ashley, at his house-warming party in Ferryhill in County Durham, last

:06:45. > :06:49.October. She was jailed for life with a minimum term of 12 years,

:06:49. > :06:51.after pleading guilty to murder. Charges against the Sunderland

:06:52. > :06:55.footballer Nicklas Bendtner - of vandalising cars in a Newcastle

:06:55. > :06:58.street have been dropped. He'd been accused - together with

:06:58. > :07:01.his captain and team-mate Lee Cattermole - of causing more than

:07:01. > :07:05.4,000 worth of damage. Cattermole appeared at Newcastle Magistrate's

:07:05. > :07:09.Court today, where he entered no plea. The case against him was

:07:09. > :07:12.adjourned for two weeks. Work begins this week to re-connect

:07:12. > :07:14.an electricity supply for people living in Wasdale Head in Cumbria.

:07:14. > :07:17.Residents have been relying on generators since Christmas Eve. The

:07:17. > :07:20.new cable will be laid under a road beside Wastwater, rather than under

:07:20. > :07:27.the lake itself. That means it'll be much more accessible, so any

:07:27. > :07:30.future faults can be fixed more quickly.

:07:30. > :07:33.A man with schizophrenia - who suffered a breakdown, after eight

:07:33. > :07:36.months fighting for the benefits he was entitled to - says the system

:07:36. > :07:38.is failing people with mental health problems. Andrew Carr, who's

:07:38. > :07:43.from Scarborough, is highlighting the difficulties he faced, to try

:07:43. > :07:53.to help others in the same situation. Carla Fowler's been to

:07:53. > :07:53.

:07:53. > :07:59.meet him. Andrew Carr has schizophrenia, depression and

:07:59. > :08:03.addictions. In 2011, after four years in hospital he was discharged

:08:03. > :08:08.and set up home independently. The Disability Living Allowance he was

:08:08. > :08:12.entitled to was not paid to them, despite sending off forms and

:08:12. > :08:18.phoning up the benefit office for eight months he was without support.

:08:18. > :08:24.He had to borrow money and just weeks ago had another breakdown and

:08:24. > :08:30.was re hospitalised. My sister came up with the money to keep me out of

:08:30. > :08:37.going to court. It has been a running battle and it made me

:08:37. > :08:42.really stressed out. They are not working fast enough to help people.

:08:42. > :08:46.They do not concentrate on who needs the money, it is like it is

:08:46. > :08:52.not important. She went to the Citizens Advice expert in

:08:52. > :08:55.Scarborough where there experts got his claim excepted and backdated.

:08:55. > :09:00.There is no question that he qualified for the alliance but you

:09:00. > :09:06.have to go through this application process. Someone with the diagnosis

:09:06. > :09:11.of schizophrenia, there are claims need to be targeted and prioritise.

:09:11. > :09:14.The benefits process was an obstacle he could not overcome

:09:14. > :09:19.alone. Now he's speaking out for others like him, falling through

:09:19. > :09:21.the cracks of a system which are supposed to support them.

:09:21. > :09:24.Campaigners, fighting to save Darlington Football Club, say the

:09:24. > :09:27.battle has reached a crucial stage. Tomorrow the administrator will try

:09:27. > :09:31.to thrash out a deal with the Quakers' creditors. But the meeting

:09:31. > :09:36.comes as donations to an appeal fund have slowed to a trickle - and

:09:36. > :09:39.attendances at matches are falling again. Peter Harris reports.

:09:39. > :09:43.They were the images that captured the hearts of football fans

:09:43. > :09:47.everywhere. But from the brink of bankruptcy, a rush of donations saw

:09:47. > :09:57.300,000 raised by a group looking to buy the club for its supporters.

:09:57. > :09:59.

:09:59. > :10:03.Survival though remains touch and go. This is the site which allows

:10:03. > :10:06.you to track the progress of the you to track the progress of the

:10:06. > :10:12.investment. You can see the initial surge of excitement on the graph,

:10:12. > :10:18.they had raised 300,000 in February. When you look after that,

:10:18. > :10:22.it flat lines which suggests it is it flat lines which suggests it is

:10:22. > :10:26.not going anywhere. A There are no guarantees but, we sat last night

:10:26. > :10:29.as a board and we all still feel that this is achievable. We are

:10:29. > :10:31.confident. They say they need another 300,000

:10:31. > :10:34.to be viable. Tomorrow the administrator meets the non-

:10:34. > :10:37.footballing creditors hoping to agree a deal where they are paid

:10:37. > :10:40.back over three years. They include the former chairman Raj Singh who

:10:40. > :10:46.would be asked to take nothing The interim board will now target

:10:46. > :10:50.businesses hoping they'll help push the investment total up. The

:10:50. > :10:53.interim board will now a target businesses, hoping they will push

:10:53. > :10:56.the Investment total up. Crowds are dropping back too, just

:10:56. > :11:00.over 2,000 last time. The board though says that would be enough

:11:00. > :11:08.for their business plan - and they have a Plan B should the team be

:11:08. > :11:11.relegated - as looks increasingly likely.

:11:11. > :11:14.Still to come in the programme, I'll be joined by Dawn for

:11:14. > :11:17.tonight's Team Talk. And as more and more footballers

:11:17. > :11:25.start to tweet - has Twitter put them back in touch with the fans-

:11:25. > :11:29.or is it just another headache for their long-suffering managers?

:11:29. > :11:36.Record-breaking temperatures across the region for the weekend, but

:11:36. > :11:39.what is this weekend hold? -- what does.

:11:39. > :11:42.Now - how's this for a plot? It's set on the day Margaret Thatcher

:11:42. > :11:48.dies, and it's a story about a dementia patient, a care-worker and

:11:48. > :11:51.the closure of a day centre. Not the obvious recipe for a comedy

:11:51. > :11:54.drama. But a new play - Swags and Tails - hopes to challenge our

:11:54. > :11:57.preconceptions and give a voice to those who're often not heard. It's

:11:57. > :11:59.being performed in various venues throughout the region until the end

:11:59. > :12:03.of the month. Tonight, for our Look North report,

:12:03. > :12:13.arts reporter Sharuna Sagar's been to meet a resident of a care home

:12:13. > :12:21.

:12:21. > :12:27.whose personal experience is behind one of the main characters. Looking

:12:27. > :12:34.back on it, I think I had been very lucky. I have had a very good life.

:12:34. > :12:39.I have done all the things I wanted to do, enjoyed my work, my has been

:12:39. > :12:43.used to take us out a lot. -- my husband.

:12:43. > :12:48.Sarah Duffy has lived in Gateshead for sixty years. But last year she

:12:48. > :12:55.had a nasty fall was no longer able to care for herself. To begin with,

:12:55. > :13:03.she resisted the move to Eighton Lodge care home in low Fell.

:13:03. > :13:09.first, I could not get used to not having my house. I like a lot of

:13:09. > :13:16.fresh air and I like to go out. But, I have enjoyed it. They have

:13:16. > :13:23.everything here, hairdressers, we go on trips. Janice takes us on

:13:23. > :13:25.trips. I am quite happy. I do not think I want to be anywhere else

:13:25. > :13:28.now. Sarah is part of a community which

:13:28. > :13:31.is the subject of a new play by Newcastle Theatre company Open

:13:31. > :13:40.Clasp. She took part in drama workshops to help shape the

:13:40. > :13:44.storyline and in her case, one of the lead characters. We did it

:13:44. > :13:48.because we wanted to give the older person have voice. They have an

:13:48. > :13:52.opinion and it gave them an opportunity to discuss their lives,

:13:52. > :14:02.so they could be heard. And now - the ladies finally get

:14:02. > :14:04.

:14:04. > :14:14.their chance to see "Swags and Tails" for the first time.

:14:14. > :14:14.

:14:15. > :14:18.Julia Margaret Thatcher had died? Thank God for that.

:14:18. > :14:23.The woman from the care home, the women from the day centre, they

:14:23. > :14:33.have all been tremendous. It is their humour and talent I wanted to

:14:33. > :14:35.

:14:35. > :14:40.celebrate in the play. We have 60 residents! There is a

:14:40. > :14:48.lot of laughter in the play. There are big decisions made in the play,

:14:48. > :14:54.women want to make a stand and say we want more. I did not think he

:14:54. > :15:03.was going to be like it was. I still enjoyed it. -- it was going

:15:03. > :15:12.to be. I think about how it centred around a day centre and that

:15:12. > :15:19.closure would be a big thing to people, that was important. Did you

:15:19. > :15:23.recognise yourself in the character Gloria? Somewhere along the line.

:15:23. > :15:33.For Sarah and her peers - this play is art imitating life. Their life.

:15:33. > :15:34.

:15:34. > :15:37.The issues raised are important and at some stage they could be yours.

:15:37. > :15:42.One of the biggest gripes about football today is that players have

:15:42. > :15:44.become remote from the fans who idolise them. Well, the social

:15:45. > :15:47.media site Twitter could be changing all that. On tonight's

:15:48. > :15:50.Late Kick Off, they're asking the question - is Twitter just a

:15:50. > :15:54.trouble maker for managers, or is it bringing footballers back in

:15:54. > :15:58.touch with the supporters? Here's Jon Williams.

:15:58. > :16:06.It's become an internet phenomenon. And a magnet for the modern day

:16:06. > :16:10.footballer. Hundreds of them now embrace Twitter. It gives them

:16:10. > :16:13.direct access to fans, to get a message across about what they have

:16:13. > :16:16.been doing in their lives. Wayne Rooney tops the Twitter league with

:16:16. > :16:22.3.3 million followers. While lower down the table Hartlepool United

:16:22. > :16:29.have 17 first team and youth team players using Twitter. It is

:16:29. > :16:35.another way of having dressing-room banter. You can do it on an evening,

:16:35. > :16:38.on an away trip, it is just a bit of fun. But not all football

:16:38. > :16:44.managers are twitter fans. An outspoken comment can lead unwary

:16:44. > :16:50.players into trouble with their club - or a costly legal bill.

:16:50. > :16:55.have to be careful in terms of what you could end there. I think our

:16:55. > :17:00.players are slowly getting to realise how important it can be, it

:17:00. > :17:05.can be expensive. It annoys me when one ever player says something

:17:05. > :17:08.stupid. You might as well say to the television cameras.

:17:08. > :17:14.And while several big name tweets have hit the headlines. It's not

:17:14. > :17:18.all good news for the sports journalists. The power with just

:17:18. > :17:22.there is with the players, they do not feel they have to speak to them

:17:22. > :17:25.reporters any more. It can get across their side of the story

:17:25. > :17:27.without any comeback. And you can hear more about the

:17:27. > :17:37.Twitter phenomenon in football on Late Kick-Off, tonight at 5-past-11

:17:37. > :17:38.

:17:38. > :17:40.Time, once again, for Team Talk - and some breaking news. Both

:17:40. > :17:42.Newcastle and Sunderland have accepted a charge of misconduct

:17:42. > :17:46.from the Football Association. That's arising from last week's

:17:46. > :17:50.fiery Tyne-Wear derby. They've both asked to put their case for the

:17:50. > :17:54.defence. Let's just hope they don't arrive at the same time!

:17:54. > :17:57.Yes - we don't want any more trouble, do we? Nothing to get to

:17:57. > :17:59.worked up about, at the Stadium of Light on Saturday - apart from

:17:59. > :18:02.Sunderland's winning goal! Liverpool must love going in there!

:18:02. > :18:06.In case you'd forgotten, their goalkeeper, Pepe Reina, was beaten

:18:06. > :18:16.by Darren Bent's famous shot in-off the beachball, back in 2009. Not

:18:16. > :18:16.

:18:16. > :18:21.quite as controversial this time - still quite funny, though! It

:18:22. > :18:23.reminded me of a pinball machine. That result was also enjoyed by

:18:24. > :18:33.Newcastle fans, because while Sunderland are catching Liverpool,

:18:34. > :18:35.

:18:35. > :18:45.the Magpies are looking stronger in sixth. Kenny Dalglish was not happy

:18:45. > :18:51.

:18:51. > :19:01.either. That was about the only thing Stuart Downing did all

:19:01. > :19:04.

:19:04. > :19:07.afternoon. Andy Carroll - a late substitute. 35 million. Not sure

:19:07. > :19:16.yet if he will miss the quarter- final on Saturday after that

:19:16. > :19:23.challenge. That will do his confidence the world of good.

:19:24. > :19:27.Obviously delighted. Delighted with the team again. Outside of the game

:19:27. > :19:37.with West Bromwich Albion a few weeks ago, it is very difficult to

:19:37. > :19:43.

:19:43. > :19:46.fault the team at any stage or it with any game.

:19:46. > :19:50.And they could pull away with a win at Arsenal tonight, of course.

:19:50. > :19:53.They certainly could - if they can repeat last year's win at the

:19:53. > :19:56.Emirates. 1-0 - thanks to someone who seems to have forgotten how to

:19:56. > :19:59.score goals! Yes - bit of a unfamiliar sight, this, if you're a

:19:59. > :20:02.Livepool fan. Andy Carroll - scoring a goal! A good one as well

:20:02. > :20:09.and they'll need something like that because the Gunners seem to be

:20:09. > :20:13.firing on all cyclinders again. will find it a very tough game for

:20:13. > :20:17.ourselves because they are in such good form but we are in good shape

:20:17. > :20:23.as well and we will try and take that into the game and take the

:20:23. > :20:27.game to Arsenal. It is a game in which we have to go and attack. If

:20:27. > :20:30.we go any other way, we could get picked off.

:20:30. > :20:33.On to Middlesbrough, where - before kick-off - there was a moving

:20:34. > :20:37.tribute to Jack Watson, one of the grand old men of North East sport.

:20:37. > :20:40.Sadly, Jack died on Saturday, at the age of 90. He'd played cricket

:20:40. > :20:42.for Durham and Northumberland, been a scout for just about all the

:20:42. > :20:45.region's football clubs, was caretaker manager of Darlington

:20:45. > :20:48.four times, and was still working for his big friend, Tony Mowbray,

:20:49. > :20:51.at the time of his death. Unfortunately, Boro couldn't do

:20:51. > :21:01.anything to brighten the mood - a pretty grim performance against

:21:01. > :21:03.

:21:03. > :21:08.their Yorkshire rivals. A mistake from Jason steal there. And then

:21:08. > :21:16.another mistake which allowed the second goal to go when. Kevin

:21:16. > :21:21.Thomson came on. He is an injury nightmare, broke his leg falling

:21:21. > :21:28.off the treadmill. He pulled his hamstring and has had a stomach

:21:28. > :21:33.upset and lasted 15 minutes before getting kicked in their head. Then

:21:33. > :21:39.a tussle followed - on the one of them got a red card. He will miss

:21:39. > :21:43.some important games. Could perhaps have done better with that one.

:21:43. > :21:48.Tony Mowbray not very happy with that one and some tough games

:21:48. > :21:57.coming up. So it's Birmingham away next, followed by a trip to West

:21:57. > :22:01.Ham - crucial games. This team have responded magnificently all here.

:22:01. > :22:06.After a defeat, generally we go back and won a game. We have a

:22:06. > :22:11.tough one next. We have been particularly good on the road this

:22:11. > :22:15.year. We have had some fantastic results playing away from home. It

:22:15. > :22:24.is probably good for us that we have the majority of games away

:22:25. > :22:28.from home now. As we said it is Birmingham away next, followed by a

:22:28. > :22:31.trip to West Ham. In fact, only two of their next

:22:31. > :22:34.eight matches are at the Riverside - which might not be a bad thing,

:22:34. > :22:36.because they've actually picked up more points away from home this

:22:36. > :22:39.season! Into League One, and Carlisle are

:22:39. > :22:42.right up there in the play-off race after a 4-1 win over Bury. They

:22:42. > :22:46.went behind, midway through the first half - but then equalised

:22:46. > :22:49.with one of the goals of the season, from Liam Noble - who, we know, can

:22:49. > :22:52.hit a ball pretty well. It's not the first time he's done

:22:52. > :22:56.something like this - but what a fabulous shot - straight into the

:22:56. > :22:59.top corner - milking the applause - and you can do that, when you score

:22:59. > :23:02.a goal like that! The second one was pretty good as

:23:02. > :23:05.well. And a bit special for Jordan Cook - the 22 year-old, on loan

:23:05. > :23:08.from Sunderland, with only his second goal in senior football. The

:23:08. > :23:11.first of three in the last 12 minutes for the Blues.

:23:11. > :23:14.Yes, the third and fourth came from top-scorer Lee Miller - one from

:23:14. > :23:17.the penalty spot. Notts County are sixth - that's the final play-off

:23:17. > :23:20.position. Carlisle are a point behind - but they do have two games

:23:20. > :23:24.in hand. Elsewhere, Hartlepool picked up a point in a pretty grim

:23:24. > :23:27.goalless draw at Walsall - this, a rare chance for them. But manager

:23:27. > :23:31.Neale Cooper said teenager Jack Baldwin gave: "the best individual

:23:32. > :23:35.performance since I came back to the club." That was him, defending

:23:35. > :23:40.well from a dangerous free-kick. He's just 18, and last season he

:23:40. > :23:43.was playing for Faversham Town in the Ryman League. And Pools need

:23:43. > :23:47.him, because they're missing eight first-teamers at the moment - so

:23:47. > :23:50.that was a decent point. Finally, a word on the success of

:23:51. > :23:53.some of our rowers at the British trials this weekend - held on the

:23:53. > :23:56.Olympic course at Eton Dorney. Teesside's Kat Copeland won the

:23:56. > :24:01.women's single skulls. And North Yorkshire's Andy Triggs-Hodge

:24:01. > :24:05.successfully defended his men's pairs title with partner Pete Reed.

:24:05. > :24:08.Well done to them - the competition for seats at the London Games is

:24:08. > :24:10.intensifying. The rowers won't find out if they've make the squad until

:24:10. > :24:20.June - but Triggs-Hodge says British rowing is better than it's

:24:20. > :24:21.

:24:21. > :24:27.ever been. We're starting to out compete the Redgraves and Pinsetts.

:24:27. > :24:32.We are starting to see a few new records fall. This is exactly where

:24:32. > :24:39.we need to be, we cannot rely on their ghost any more. I cannot wait,

:24:39. > :24:44.the Olympics here in five months' time. You cannot feel any better.

:24:44. > :24:48.It was very sunny there. I would have been cutting the grass

:24:48. > :24:56.yesterday, if not for a party I went to.

:24:56. > :25:04.A bit early for grass. Almost. It has been very mild indeed, we had

:25:04. > :25:10.record temperatures over the weekend. More than 19 Celsius in

:25:10. > :25:16.Yorkshire, breaking records for March. A beautiful image two

:25:30. > :25:34.not for long, bad news for those hoping to catch a glimpse of the

:25:34. > :25:39.Northern Lights, there is a geomagnetic storm in the action at

:25:39. > :25:47.the moment. So cloudy in the West and for the North East coast. You

:25:47. > :25:52.might be lucky over the Tyne and Wear Valley's. Most places quite

:25:52. > :25:59.mild overnight. Mild also for the start of Tuesday. Tomorrow morning

:25:59. > :26:01.it stays cloudy in the West, misty over the hills. Brighter for the

:26:08. > :26:16.clouds. Bright skies in the afternoon and a top temperature of

:26:16. > :26:22.40 -- 14 Celsius. Just a bit chilly air at the coast. West's words - a

:26:22. > :26:30.thicker cloud comes in with the bees. Gloomier in the West to end

:26:30. > :26:36.the day. Nine Celsius is the average for the Cumbrian coast and

:26:36. > :26:42.the average for this time of year. Higher than average for the rest of

:26:58. > :27:03.Further south the cloud will tend to be thicker. Everywhere,

:27:03. > :27:08.temperatures will remain above average for this time of year. Good
