:01:19. > :01:23.decision would be a mistake and said it would lead to escapes and riots

:01:24. > :01:27.at the prison. There has bedn no comment on that from the Frdnch

:01:28. > :01:36.company today. It has said ht is looking into the event last night

:01:37. > :01:40.and has launched an investigation. A gay couple from South Tyndside are

:01:41. > :01:43.among the first in the country to have a same`sex wedding. Thd law

:01:44. > :01:46.changed at midnight, meaning gay couples can now legally marry in

:01:47. > :01:49.England and Wales. Mandy Hutchinson and Trisha Doyle got married this

:01:50. > :01:52.morning at the register offhce in South Shields.

:01:53. > :01:57.Today's obviously news, bec`use we are a same`sex couple, we'rd getting

:01:58. > :02:00.married. But in the future, I would just like to see it as people

:02:01. > :02:04.getting married, not making any difference what sexuality you are,

:02:05. > :02:09.just for it to be the norm to say we're getting married and for people

:02:10. > :02:13.in the future just to say the same. The search to find a student missing

:02:14. > :02:15.in the Lake District is continuing. 20`year`old Matthew Jordan from

:02:26. > :02:30.There are just a few hours to go until one of the biggest boxing

:02:31. > :02:33.contests to be staged in thd region. Darlington boxer Stuart Hall defends

:02:34. > :02:36.his IBF world bantamweight title against Durham's Martin Ward in what

:02:37. > :02:41.will be the first all`North East world title fight. This is what Hall

:02:42. > :02:45.and Ward had to say at yestdrday's weigh`in ahead of the historic clash

:02:46. > :02:49.at the Newcastle Arena tonight. I have trained a bit harder, about

:02:50. > :02:52.10% harder this time. So evdryone coming down from the north`dast can

:02:53. > :02:57.watch a great spectacle for the north`east. I predict a whole win by

:02:58. > :03:00.whatever means possible. So you will definitely take the defender title?

:03:01. > :03:05.I'm keeping that belt, yeah. Not letting anybody have it? No chance.

:03:06. > :03:09.I'm fighting the world titld, the biggest title for any boxer. You do

:03:10. > :03:13.things even better. You prepare more. You are longer in the gym You

:03:20. > :03:20.brings, bring it on. Let's get the weekend weathdr

:03:21. > :03:26.forecast now with Jennifer Bartram. Hello, an afternoon of mixed

:03:27. > :03:31.fortunes across the North E`st and Cumbria. Cumbria certainly seeing

:03:32. > :03:34.some hazy sunshine and having a very pleasant afternoon. Across the

:03:35. > :03:36.north`east, a lot of this cloud and some low cloud giving a chilly,

:03:37. > :03:41.murky afternoon. Temperaturds between 15 degrees to seven or eight

:03:42. > :03:45.degrees on the coast. This dvening and overnight, a fairly clotdy

:03:46. > :03:53.night. Some patches of mist and fog by dawn, but not a cold night.

:03:54. > :03:56.Temperatures back to six degrees. That's all from the lunchtile team.

:04:15. > :04:18.Summer Time begins. Hard to believe that this was the scene exactly one

:04:19. > :04:22.year ago in North Wales when we were in the grip of one of the coldest

:04:23. > :04:26.springs for many a decade. A different story this weekend, of

:04:27. > :04:29.course, with warm air wafting up from the near continent, and under

:04:30. > :04:34.clear skies the temperatures soaring. It is not clear everywhere,

:04:35. > :04:39.we have a lot of cloud further north and west, and with a damp start

:04:40. > :04:42.across some areas, that cloud is thinning and trickling away,

:04:43. > :04:46.brightening up here through this afternoon. Clear skies and sunshine

:04:47. > :04:51.further east, wispy high cloud, temperatures topping out at 19

:04:52. > :04:55.Celsius, possibly 20 in some spots despite a noticeable breeze. Foggy

:04:56. > :04:59.across Lincolnshire, the south-east of Yorkshire, that has cleared away.

:05:00. > :05:04.Brightening up here, but slow progress across the north-east of

:05:05. > :05:08.England, just seven degrees on the coast. Cloudy across Northern

:05:09. > :05:09.Ireland with patchy rain for a time, patchy rain clearing over
