:00:10. > :00:12.Good evening. Friends who wdre with Teesside student Matthew Jordan the

:00:13. > :00:16.night he went missing insist somebody knows more about hhs

:00:17. > :00:19.disappearance. The 20`year`old was last seen on a night out in

:00:20. > :00:25.Bowness`on`Windermere more than two weeks ago. His friends and family

:00:26. > :00:34.have been searching the are`. Mark McAlindon reports.

:00:35. > :00:39.Once again, volunteers and search teams are out scouring everx inch of

:00:40. > :00:43.spare ground for any clues of Matthew's whereabouts. Frenzy came

:00:44. > :00:48.here with do not believe th`t Matthew would do anything d`ft. He

:00:49. > :00:56.would not had towards water, no matter how drunk he was. He was in

:00:57. > :01:00.no state whatsoever, he would not have gone towards the water.

:01:01. > :01:05.Somebody out there has information, whether it is only small, a

:01:06. > :01:09.sighting, or whether they know where he has gone. Somebody out there

:01:10. > :01:15.knows something. You just w`nt them to come forward. Locals and

:01:16. > :01:19.holiday`makers alike are working from the headquarters set up at a

:01:20. > :01:31.local school. Matthew's pardnts came to thank them. We are thankful that

:01:32. > :01:36.they are turning out. And the police ice Yuji appreciative. If you don't

:01:37. > :01:39.look, you will not find anything, so I think it is very

:01:40. > :01:42.well`intentioned, very well`meaning, and I think it is the

:01:43. > :01:48.right thing that the family want to do to try to bring Matthew home

:01:49. > :01:51.Police divers were in action again today but said there in the is were

:01:52. > :01:58.purely routine. More than 50 miles of coast`l

:01:59. > :02:01.pathway have been officiallx opened. There are two stretches, ond in the

:02:02. > :02:05.North East and another in Ctmbria. They are the first two trails to be

:02:06. > :02:08.opened as part of a project which will give walkers access rights to

:02:09. > :02:11.all of the region's coastline. Andrew Hartley has the detahls.

:02:12. > :02:15.Seaham Beach, along the route of the first stretch in the North Dast of

:02:16. > :02:18.the England Coast Path. 34 liles from Hartlepool to Sunderland,

:02:19. > :02:27.taking in the rugged beauty of Durham's coastline. It is brand`new

:02:28. > :02:31.access, with a new fight brhdge down there, new clifftop path with superb

:02:32. > :02:35.views. People are already using it. As soon as we constructed this,

:02:36. > :02:38.people were out there straightaway using it. On the West coast of our

:02:39. > :02:41.region, another 20 miles is being opened up between Allonby and

:02:42. > :02:44.Whitehaven, with full access rights to the rest of our region's

:02:45. > :02:47.coastline due around 2020. But the network is facing criticism from

:02:48. > :02:57.some landowners who claim the path will damage their businesses. Our

:02:58. > :03:01.concern is that this is a vdry expensive approach to achieving

:03:02. > :03:05.this. This is new access whhch has been put across land without any

:03:06. > :03:08.compensation, so it is against all the natural justice in this country.

:03:09. > :03:12.But Natural England claims that the route will in fact bring in money to

:03:13. > :03:19.the local economy because of the tourism boost.

:03:20. > :03:24.York's Lendal Bridge has fully reopened to traffic. The

:03:25. > :03:28.controversial signs telling motorists they couldn't cross during

:03:29. > :03:33.the daytime were put up in @ugust. Since then 57,000 fines havd been

:03:34. > :03:37.issued. The traffic regulator ruled there were no legal grounds for the

:03:38. > :03:42.penalties. Football now, and in the Prdmier

:03:43. > :03:45.League Newcastle lost 1`0 at Stoke. And another poor result for

:03:46. > :03:48.Sunderland, who slipped closer to relegation with a 1`0 defeat to

:03:49. > :03:53.Everton. In the Championship, Middlesbrough beat promotion`chasing

:03:54. > :03:56.Burnley 1`0. And in League One Carlisle slipped back into the

:03:57. > :04:00.relegation zone, losing 6`1 at Preston. In League Two Hartlepool

:04:01. > :04:05.lost 2`1 to Chesterfield, and York drew 1`1 with Accrington. And in the

:04:06. > :04:10.Scottish League Two, Berwick beat Elgin 3`1.

:04:11. > :04:12.Let's see what the weather's got in store for us for the rest of the

:04:13. > :04:24.weekend ` here's Jen Bartral. A disappointing day in some

:04:25. > :04:27.respects. We have had a lot of cloud around. There are some clear spells

:04:28. > :04:32.overnight, but the cloud will start if they can once again. It stays

:04:33. > :04:39.fairly chilly overnight, with temperatures dropping to about six

:04:40. > :04:45.Celsius. There could be a touch of ground frost in rural spots. On

:04:46. > :04:47.Sunday, many of us will see spells of sunshine.

:04:48. > :04:53.Just a reminder that tomorrow's Sunday Politics is on at a later

:04:54. > :04:56.time than usual, on BBC One at 2:30pm, after coverage of the London

:04:57. > :05:14.Marathon. But that's it frol the Saturday team. Have a great weekend.

:05:15. > :05:18.We start with a look at the latest satellite sequence, because it shows

:05:19. > :05:22.what has been going on over the last few hours. This band of cloud has

:05:23. > :05:26.been slipping south across England and Wales. A bit of patchy rain to

:05:27. > :05:30.come from that, but nothing of significance. Quite the story across

:05:31. > :05:37.the north of Scotland . And some fairly frequent showers to the north

:05:38. > :05:41.and west of Scotland. That is it by dawn. Most places will see clear

:05:42. > :05:48.spells and it wouldn't turn -- it will turn cold, particularly in raw

:05:49. > :05:50.areas. In the morning, one or two showers along the northern coast of
