:00:13. > :00:15.Good evening. Passers`by have rescued six people, including a

:00:16. > :00:23.family of five, moments before a car burst into flames in Cumbria. It

:00:24. > :00:28.followed a two`vehicle crash on the A66 at Threlkeld this morning. The

:00:29. > :00:31.driver and front seat passenger of a Mercedes estate car were seriously

:00:32. > :00:35.injured. They were flown by air ambulance to the RVI in Newcastle.

:00:36. > :00:40.They were pulled to safety, along with three children, before the

:00:41. > :00:43.vehicle set on fire. The driver of a Ford Ranger pick`up was taken to the

:00:44. > :00:44.Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle. The road was closed for several

:00:45. > :00:51.hours. Three people have appeared in court

:00:52. > :00:53.charged with robbery. It's in connection with a raid on the

:00:54. > :00:57.Cumberland Building Society in Silloth on Thursday. Two men, aged

:00:58. > :01:00.34 and 25, and a woman, aged 30, all from the Carlisle area, appeared at

:01:01. > :01:04.the city's Magistrates' Court today. One of the men has also been charged

:01:05. > :01:06.with possession of an offensive weapon. All three have been remanded

:01:07. > :01:10.in custody. Police have released CCTV footage of

:01:11. > :01:17.a man they want to speak to in connection with an armed robbery in

:01:18. > :01:20.Newcastle. A man, armed with two knives, entered the Nisa Store on

:01:21. > :01:24.Two Ball Lonnen at five`thirty in the morning of January the 9th. He

:01:25. > :01:27.tied two members of staff up before making off with cash and cigarettes.

:01:28. > :01:30.No`one was injured during the robbery, but staff were left shaken

:01:31. > :01:33.by it. Officers have released the CCTV in a bid to get witnesses to

:01:34. > :01:37.come forward. 16 people braved the cold today to

:01:38. > :01:41.take part in a baptism outside York Minster. It's the eighth year

:01:42. > :01:47.they've held the event, during which local Christians are fully immersed

:01:48. > :01:51.in a tank of water. The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, said

:01:52. > :01:54.people want to make a public commitment to their faith.

:01:55. > :01:57.The Great North Passion is open to the public for the rest of the

:01:58. > :02:05.Easter weekend following Good Friday's live broadcast. Thousands

:02:06. > :02:08.of people gathered at Bent's Park in South Shields for the innovative

:02:09. > :02:11.re`telling of the Good Friday story through music, dance and artworks.

:02:12. > :02:14.Shipping containers form a giant installation in the shape of a

:02:15. > :02:20.cross. So what did people visiting today make of it? How so many people

:02:21. > :02:23.have worked together, how so many people have been inspired around the

:02:24. > :02:26.theme, it is wonderful. It is interesting to see a lot of the

:02:27. > :02:34.video installations which have been running. A lot of the comments made

:02:35. > :02:37.by the young ones about friendship. Probably my favourite was the

:02:38. > :02:46.kindness one, hearing all the schoolchildren's ideas of what

:02:47. > :02:50.kindess is in the community. For me, it is the miners one, because my

:02:51. > :02:53.father and his father were miners, so that is the best part.

:02:54. > :02:56.Music lovers from across the region have been queueing outside their

:02:57. > :02:59.local independent record stores to mark the seventh annual Record Shop

:03:00. > :03:02.Day. Exclusive vinyl recordings have been released to mark the occasion,

:03:03. > :03:07.with some shops hosting live performances. At Hot Rats Records in

:03:08. > :03:10.Sunderland, owner Martin Yule says there's been a resurgence of

:03:11. > :03:18.interest in vinyl in the last two years, particularly among young

:03:19. > :03:22.people. The big sellers today have been Joy Division 12`inch, I am

:03:23. > :03:25.trying to think what else. There has been a mixture, Hendrix LPs have

:03:26. > :03:29.been going well, Paul Weller seven inch, which I have got one of, but

:03:30. > :03:32.everyone has asked for. Tame Impala, a big cross`section of stuff. Some

:03:33. > :03:42.great reggae releases as well. Football now. Newcastle have lost

:03:43. > :03:45.their fifth Premier League match in a row, losing 2`1 at home to

:03:46. > :03:48.Swansea. The Magpies, lacking confidence after four successive

:03:49. > :03:51.defeats, took the lead thanks to Shola Ameobi's finish into the

:03:52. > :03:54.bottom corner. But Swansea equalised before the break. And a penalty in

:03:55. > :03:56.stoppage time increased the pressure on Alan Pardew's Newcastle.

:03:57. > :04:00.Meanwhile, Sunderland are away at Chelsea and fighting to avoid

:04:01. > :04:06.relegation. Kick`off was at 5:30 and the current score is 1`1. In the

:04:07. > :04:09.Championship, Middlesbrough's lingering hopes of a play`off push

:04:10. > :04:12.were killed off as struggling Millwall claimed a 2`1 win at the

:04:13. > :04:16.Riverside. And Hartlepool United lost 3`0 away at Burton Albion in

:04:17. > :04:18.League Two. Berwick Rangers won 1`0 at home to East Stirling in Scottish

:04:19. > :04:22.League Two. Let's take a look at the Easter

:04:23. > :04:22.weekend weather now. Here's Kay Crewdson.

:04:23. > :04:29.at home to East Stirling in Scottish Hello there, good evening. It will

:04:30. > :04:32.remain dry and fine through this evening, variable amounts of cloud.

:04:33. > :04:36.Overnight, thicker cloud starts to roll in from the east. Most parts

:04:37. > :04:39.will remain dry. Because of the cloud, temperatures not as low as

:04:40. > :04:43.last night. Down to around about five or six degrees in the East, but

:04:44. > :04:47.over towards the West, as low as four degrees, if not lower in more

:04:48. > :04:51.rural spots. The breeze starts to pick up by dawn as well. It will be

:04:52. > :04:55.cloudy in the East. The best of the sunshine will be in Cumbria. We will

:04:56. > :04:57.hold onto the sunshine until it starts to cloud over later. High

:04:58. > :05:01.temperatures of 15 degrees. That's all the news and sport this

:05:02. > :05:02.Easter Saturday. We're back tomorrow at 6:50. Thanks for watching and

:05:03. > :05:21.enjoy the rest of your evening. Good evening. The temperature

:05:22. > :05:23.reached 18 degrees in the sunshine across parts of the Scottish

:05:24. > :05:27.Highlands. Temperatures will drop this evening and overnight. A chilly

:05:28. > :05:33.night again for most of us. Sky is clear to begin with, but as the

:05:34. > :05:38.night wears on cloud will feedback back and across central and eastern

:05:39. > :05:43.England heading into Wales as well. Further west, Scotland, Northern

:05:44. > :05:49.Ireland and north-western part of England, there could be a touch of

:05:50. > :05:52.frost here. A different look to the day across southern areas. More in

:05:53. > :05:57.the way of cloud. Rain heading in as well along with a fresh, easterly

:05:58. > :06:04.wind. We will see some places getting wet. It clearly the

:06:05. > :06:08.afternoon. The heaviest rain likely to be south of the M4. Every now and

:06:09. > :06:13.again you will get a bit heading towards the London area into the

:06:14. > :06:14.South Midlands and into South Wales and the south-west. Late on in
