:00:00. > 3:59:59now. There is more throughout the evening

:00:00. > :00:10.Good evening. One of Cumbria's most on bids the BBC News

:00:11. > :00:14.Good evening. One of Cumbria's most iconic mountains ` Blencathra ` will

:00:15. > :00:28.go on sale next week with a guide price of ?1.75. `` ?1.57 million.

:00:29. > :00:32.The mountain is currently owned by Lord Lonsdale and has been in his

:00:33. > :00:36.family for 400 years. He's told the BBC he needs to sell it to pay an

:00:37. > :00:39.Inheritance Tax bill. Mark Mcalindon has the story. Blencathra has been

:00:40. > :00:41.in the earl's family for many years. But his father's death left the

:00:42. > :00:47.estate with a huge tax bill and pressure to settle it. I have ?9

:00:48. > :00:52.million in death duties to pay on the death of my father and you're

:00:53. > :00:57.given ten years to settle that. Well we have only got about 18 months to

:00:58. > :01:02.go. I put this on the market to save us from having to evict people from

:01:03. > :01:08.houses and farms and properties and then have to sell them. The earl

:01:09. > :01:13.hopes the sale can made in the summer. Yes, we believe there is

:01:14. > :01:18.interest. This is in the over all scheme of things, it is not a lot of

:01:19. > :01:24.money, when you compare it to a painting or to a piece of jewellery.

:01:25. > :01:32.It is within the realms of the ability for people to purchase.

:01:33. > :01:39.Blencathra is what was described as the mountaineer's mountain. What do

:01:40. > :01:43.you get. Well stunning views across what was once John Peel fox`hunting

:01:44. > :01:50.country and you get the right to shoot and fish and if right to take

:01:51. > :01:55.the title Lord of manor. This is unusual, the first time a Lake

:01:56. > :02:01.District mountain has been sold. Lord Lonsdale is anxious to protect

:02:02. > :02:08.his tenants. It must be sad, it has been in the family for over 400

:02:09. > :02:15.years. Yes I be it makes me angry, because that is what the Government

:02:16. > :02:19.does to us with death duties. The traditional Tyne and Wear May Day

:02:20. > :02:23.March took place today. This year it paid tribute to Bob Crow, the former

:02:24. > :02:29.leader of the RMT union, who died in March, and Tony Benn, who died just

:02:30. > :02:34.a few days later. We kept this event going many year, others have not

:02:35. > :02:37.kept going. We have had to change the venue, because exhibition Park

:02:38. > :02:42.isn't available. But we are in a working class and student area. We

:02:43. > :02:47.have put ourselves on the map of the local community. It's been a

:02:48. > :02:50.dramatic afternoon of football. Carlisle have been relegated to

:02:51. > :02:54.League Two, And Sunderland's first win at Old Trafford since 1968 takes

:02:55. > :03:01.them to the brink of safety. Phil Chapman has more. Sunderland managed

:03:02. > :03:04.to wipe the smile off the face of Ryan Giggs this afternoon, handing

:03:05. > :03:07.him his first defeat in charge of Manchester United and scoring the

:03:08. > :03:12.only goal in the much`anticipated fixture away at Old Trafford. This

:03:13. > :03:16.means the Black Cats stay on the brink of safety, sitting fourth from

:03:17. > :03:24.bottom, after their first win at Old Trafford since 1968. Special, the

:03:25. > :03:28.right time and a moment that we were desperate for points. I think the

:03:29. > :03:33.way as well, to come here and maybe not start the game well, but we

:03:34. > :03:38.score to try to play the game we know. It is better for us. We can

:03:39. > :03:43.believe in. The boys have been outstanding. It has been very hard.

:03:44. > :03:47.And in the last home game of the season for Newcastle. After losing

:03:48. > :03:50.their last six games in succession, the Magpies sent Cardiff back to the

:03:51. > :03:53.Championship after their single season in the Premier League with a

:03:54. > :03:57.convincing 3`0 win at home. Many enjoyed the moment, but there was a

:03:58. > :04:01.walk`out from some fans at St James's Park during the 69th minute

:04:02. > :04:08.` a nod to last time Newcastle won a major trophy in 1969. So the worst

:04:09. > :04:12.fears of Carlisle United were realised as they failed to stay in

:04:13. > :04:16.League One, after a 3`0 defeat away at Wolves. Middlesbrough's long trip

:04:17. > :04:23.south to Yeovil paid`off with a 4`1 win. In League Two, Hartlepool lost

:04:24. > :04:26.2`0 at home to Exeter. York drew 2`2 away at Scunthorpe. And in the

:04:27. > :04:29.Scottish League, Berwick lost to Peterhead 2`1. To Rugby, some

:04:30. > :04:35.fantastic play by the Falcons, but they beaten by London Wasps 44`38.

:04:36. > :04:40.The weather forecast for this May Day weekend now, with Kay Crewdson.

:04:41. > :04:46.Hello, through this evening we are going to have cloud increasing from

:04:47. > :04:51.the north`west with patchy rain, mainly in the west. Towards dawn

:04:52. > :04:55.that will get heavier and more persistent. It will be dry, but

:04:56. > :05:01.cloudy with some hill fog. Lows around even or eight degrees.

:05:02. > :05:06.Tomorrow morning a cloudy start. Some light rain continue on and off

:05:07. > :05:12.throughout the day. Temperatures up to 14 degrees. A light

:05:13. > :05:19.Good evening. It was a cold, even frosty start to the Bank Holiday

:05:20. > :05:24.weekend but for most of us day one of three has been dry. We are going

:05:25. > :05:26.to see changes, the first of those changes spilling across Scotland and

:05:27. > :05:30.Northern Ireland as outbreaks of rain drifting through the night.

:05:31. > :05:33.Getting into parts of northern England as well. With the cloud and

:05:34. > :05:37.rain it will not be as cold as last night, temperatures staying in

:05:38. > :05:42.double figures in many cities. In the south, clear skies once more.

:05:43. > :05:46.Like last night, it is going to be cold. Parts of the countryside will

:05:47. > :05:51.be down to zero, maybe -1, as we start Sunday. A chilly start.

:05:52. > :05:54.Generally a fine day was quite a bit of sunshine. Elsewhere, sunshine in

:05:55. > :05:55.short supply
