:01:54. > :01:57.arrived at Wembley today, with their team 90 minutes away from a return

:01:58. > :02:02.to the Football League for the first time since 1960. But in the end ` it

:02:16. > :02:18.everything to win and reason to be confident. Playing at Wembley for

:02:19. > :02:24.the first time in their history, at stake was a return to the Football

:02:25. > :02:28.League after 54 years absence. 1,000 fans made the journey to the capital

:02:29. > :02:31.to see their side face Cambridge United in the Conference play off

:02:32. > :02:36.final and hopes were high. Gateshead didn't get the start they wanted,

:02:37. > :02:40.though. Cambridge getting the better of the early action but by the end

:02:41. > :02:43.of the first half, the Tynesiders were creating chances. In a high

:02:44. > :02:47.pressure game, Gateshead were lucky not to be down to ten men in the

:02:48. > :02:50.first half. Marcus Maddison narrowly escaping a second yellow card for

:02:51. > :02:53.this offence. The second half started with the Tynesiders under

:02:54. > :02:58.pressure. This save from Adam Bartlett giving away a corner and in

:02:59. > :03:03.the 51st minute Cambridge 1 0 up. `` 1`0 up. Then 69 minutes this yellow

:03:04. > :03:06.card offence by Gateshead skipper Ben Clarke afforded Cambridge a free

:03:07. > :03:09.kick and Cambridge were 2 0 up. Gateshead hearts were breaking but

:03:10. > :03:14.with just over ten minutes left to play, a Jack Leicester goal brought

:03:15. > :03:18.hope back to Tyneside. From then on, it was tired legs working hard to

:03:19. > :03:21.find another goal for Gateshead and with Cambridge losing their skipper

:03:22. > :03:25.and down to ten men, injury time seemed like a desperate eternity. It

:03:26. > :03:28.could have been a dream come true for Gateshead but tonight, the

:03:29. > :03:40.journey back north will seem very long indeed.

:03:41. > :03:43.Cambridge 2 Gateshead 1. And we'll have a full report on Gateshead's

:03:44. > :03:46.day in London, from Jeff Brown at Wembley, in our late bulletin at

:03:47. > :03:49.around 10.15pm tonight. 1,500 visitors experienced the

:03:50. > :03:52.opening day of an exhibition ` expected to smash visitor records `

:03:53. > :03:56.which opened this weekend at the Centre for Life in Newcastle. It's

:03:57. > :04:03.the first time Body Worlds has been seen in the UK. It features real

:04:04. > :04:06.human corpses. All the bodies were donated to the exhibition's creator,

:04:07. > :04:13.the German scientist, Dr Gunther von Hagens. It's been lovely to see

:04:14. > :04:16.everyone studying the intricate detail you can see. Really

:04:17. > :04:21.appreciated it. They actually or were once actual people. That for me

:04:22. > :04:24.adds a whole interesting dimension. It is fascinating to see internally

:04:25. > :04:29.into the body. As a nurse I didn't get to see all of this during my

:04:30. > :04:35.nurse training. Its fascinating. Really quite impressed.

:04:36. > :04:39.The only full`sized replica in the world of a Bible created more than

:04:40. > :04:42.1,000 years ago has gone on show to visitors in South Tyneside this

:04:43. > :04:45.weekend. The Codex Amiatinus was one of three single volume Bibles made

:04:46. > :04:49.by monks at Wearmouth Jarrow monastery. It left South Tyneside as

:04:50. > :04:53.a gift for the Pope in the 8th century. The replica will be on show

:04:54. > :04:56.at Bede's World in Jarrow until September. The weather ` a little

:04:57. > :05:00.bit fresher today. Let's have a look at the start of the new week across

:05:01. > :05:05.our region now, with Jennifer Bartram.

:05:06. > :05:08.. Ed evening. After a couple of lovely days, things turning more

:05:09. > :05:12.unsettled through the rest of the week. Showers around tonight.

:05:13. > :05:15.A fair amount of cloud. There will be clear spells, too. A mild night

:05:16. > :05:21.overnight. Temperatures dropping back to around 12 or 13.

:05:22. > :05:24.For Monday, another dry and fine day. Good sunshine through the

:05:25. > :05:27.morning. Perhaps the chance of a shower during the afternoon.

:05:28. > :05:32.Especially over the Pennines. But most will have a dry day. Warm once

:05:33. > :05:35.again with temperatures reaching 22. As we go through Tuesday and

:05:36. > :05:38.Wednesday, things start to become more unsettled. We will see some

:05:39. > :05:43.showers or longer spells of rain on Tuesday. It is going to be feeling

:05:44. > :05:46.cooler along the Co as we pick up an easterly breeze with temperatures

:05:47. > :05:50.here reaching 14. Thank you. That's our news so far

:05:51. > :05:55.this Sunday. More on Gateshead on our BBC Tyne Wear websites and we

:05:56. > :06:13.are here at 10.15pm. Good evening. St James Park and Sheffield both hit

:06:14. > :06:18.25 Celsius this afternoon. That gives us our warmest day in nearly

:06:19. > :06:21.nine months, since 5th September 2013. It goes without saying that it

:06:22. > :06:25.is going to be a warm night. Look out for some showers clipping into

:06:26. > :06:28.eastern Scotland. Some of those could be heavy. Still some patchy

:06:29. > :06:29.rain for western
