:00:13. > :00:15.First it was North Cumbria, now the NHS trust which runs

:00:16. > :00:17.hospitals in South Cumbria has been put into special measures

:00:18. > :00:23.It means both trusts, serving a county with a poptlation

:00:24. > :00:25.of around half a million people are now rated inadequate.

:00:26. > :00:27.The Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust runs sites in Kendal,

:00:28. > :00:34.It joins the North Cumbria trust, which runs hospitals in Carlisle

:00:35. > :00:40.Adrian Pitches has more on this and joins me now.

:00:41. > :00:43.So, are all of Cumbria's hospitals now said to be providing in`dequate

:00:44. > :00:59.It would be unfair to say that. One shining beacon is the hospital in

:01:00. > :01:06.Kendal, that was actually r`ted as good. The North Cumbria trust was

:01:07. > :01:12.put into special measures l`st year because of an acceptably high death

:01:13. > :01:21.rates. That will be reviewed later this year. Furness and Lanc`ster

:01:22. > :01:24.have been singled out as thd ones dragging the trust down. We went to

:01:25. > :01:37.the three main hospital sitds, Lancaster, Barrow in Furness, and

:01:38. > :01:44.the carer at those places is not of a high standard. We do not believe

:01:45. > :01:51.that the trust of its own c`n get to being a good standard and a

:01:52. > :01:54.reasonable time frame. But the Kendal hospital is actually quite

:01:55. > :02:01.good. The local MP seized on this and said that services which had

:02:02. > :02:04.even reached away to the other hospitals should perhaps be taken

:02:05. > :02:09.back here. This is what tends Fahrenheit to say. One of the

:02:10. > :02:15.interesting points from thehr report this morning is that the ond silver

:02:16. > :02:24.lining is the hospital in Kdndal. The others are seen to be f`iling,

:02:25. > :02:30.Kendall is seen to be good. We should move services from the over

:02:31. > :02:38.congested hospital at Lancaster to sheer fervour Buddy's good. `` to

:02:39. > :02:41.this hospital fervour body's did. The Police on Teesside have tonight

:02:42. > :02:44.issued an urgent appeal to trace a man wanted in connection with

:02:45. > :02:47.an attempted rape in Middlesbrough. 26`year`old Cezar Florea,

:02:48. > :02:49.who is of Romanian origin, has links to the Stockton,

:02:50. > :02:51.Middlesbrough and London ardas. The 51`year`old victim was walking

:02:52. > :02:54.to work at around 6am on Saturday 7th June on the A66 North Ormesby

:02:55. > :02:56.flyover. She suffered serious injurids,

:02:57. > :02:58.including a broken shoulder Reports released today

:02:59. > :03:07.into the involvement of Jimly Savile with four of our hospitals have

:03:08. > :03:09.revealed one incident of him inappropriately touching a

:03:10. > :03:13.nurse, which happened in thd 19 0s. That incident took place at

:03:14. > :03:16.Whitby Memorial Hospital, which was Investigations carried out on behalf

:03:17. > :03:21.of the Royal Victoria Infirlary in Newcastle, and into the trust which

:03:22. > :03:24.has responsibility for the old Dryburn and Shotley Bridge Hospitals

:03:25. > :03:28.in Durham, have concluded that nothing untoward happened at any

:03:29. > :03:31.of the institutions during Savile's But this morning the Newcastle

:03:32. > :03:37.Central MP Chi Onwurah calldd for a further investigation into

:03:38. > :03:43.Jimmy Savile's visits to thd RVI. She was left paralysed

:03:44. > :03:45.and was blinded in one eye Yet the taxi driver who caused it

:03:46. > :03:49.was fined just ?250 Four`year`old Jessica Bootes had to

:03:50. > :03:52.fight for her life She was in an induced coma

:03:53. > :03:57.for 11 days. On Tuesday 35`year`old Amir Azad

:03:58. > :04:00.admitted driving without dud care But Jessica's parents have described

:04:01. > :04:05.the punishment, a fine and six It started out as a trip to the

:04:06. > :04:13.shops and ended with four`ydar`old Her mother, Lisa,

:04:14. > :04:22.who's had to leave work to care for her daughter, says Jesshca now

:04:23. > :04:34.faces an uncertain future. Every day is different, she has 23

:04:35. > :04:39.physio sessions. Currently she has now left hand side of her skull and

:04:51. > :04:53.The family car had been hit by a taxi driven

:04:54. > :04:56.It happened on March 4th at the Lindisfarne roundabott

:04:57. > :05:06.We were stationary, handbrake on, then a car crashed into the

:05:07. > :05:11.right`hand side of my car. Hnstead of our car jutting forwards, we went

:05:12. > :05:15.from side to side, hence Jessica's serious head injuries.

:05:16. > :05:21.On Tuesday, Amir Azad was fhned ?250 and given six penalty points.

:05:22. > :05:29.I think it is abysmal. I honestly cannot believe it. What you think

:05:30. > :05:40.would have been a more appropriate sentence for him? In my opinion a

:05:41. > :05:49.prison sentence. At least a ban He would argue that he has the right to

:05:50. > :05:53.earn a living, and should therefore keep his licence. Yes he dods, but

:05:54. > :05:58.so do I, but I do not have the option because I have had to give up

:05:59. > :05:59.my job to look after my daughter. He sadly still has everything hn place

:06:00. > :06:06.and I do not. It's one of the highlights

:06:49. > :06:54.produce the odd shower but lany of us will stay dry. One or two spots

:06:55. > :06:58.will dip into single figures. Tomorrow, there will be somd cloud
