:00:17. > :00:21.The Durham Light Infantry's last action was in the Korean War,

:00:22. > :00:24.and it was disbanded in 1968, but up until now there has been no

:00:25. > :00:28.permanent memorial to the DLI in the city centre.

:00:29. > :00:35.46 years after the DLI was disbanded,

:00:36. > :00:44.The bronze statue of an infantryman in Korean`era

:00:45. > :00:51.battledress cost ?75,000 and was paid for by donations.

:00:52. > :00:58.What we are doing is putting us that you up to remember every single

:00:59. > :01:05.person who served and every family in this county, because almost every

:01:06. > :01:09.single family had lost a man who served in the regiment. This is a

:01:10. > :01:11.tribute to everyone in County Durham.
