:01:01. > :01:07.the bypass possible still hasn't been fully paid.
:01:08. > :01:12.My father was always keen - he was chairman of the parish
:01:13. > :01:14.council of Haydon Bridge - that Haydon Bridge needed
:01:15. > :01:17.a bypass and when it came that we would facilitate it
:01:18. > :01:22.but I never thought that we would be still waiting,
:01:23. > :01:28.coming up for ten years, for such a simple scheme.
:01:29. > :01:31.The family agreed the sale in 2006 but is still waiting for around
:01:32. > :01:36.They also say they haven't been properly reimbursed for remedial
:01:37. > :01:46.In a statement, the Highways Agency told us it was working closely
:01:47. > :01:48.with the claimants' solicitor and was committed to finding
:01:49. > :01:59.They have said this for the last couple of years.

:02:03. > :02:05.of the A66 and all this, I mean, they need to be warned

:03:11. > :03:19.Frieda has vascular dementia but she still loves swimming,
:03:20. > :03:21.so volunteer Liz Colling is helping to keep Frieda and her
:03:22. > :03:25.They were introduced by local Alzheimer's charity Side By Side.
:03:26. > :03:27.They match dementia sufferers with volunteers who enjoy the same
:03:28. > :03:30.things and can help them participate in the activities they used to.
:03:31. > :03:33.She really did make me laugh, a real sense of humour,
:03:34. > :03:42.She's got more sparkle in her eye, and she's clearly
:03:43. > :03:46.So when she starts to do it and talk about it,
:03:47. > :03:51.Frieda has spent her life in Scarborough.
:03:52. > :03:54.She has raised a family here and is a well-known figure locally,
:03:55. > :03:58.as she has taught hundreds of schoolchildren to swim.
:03:59. > :04:01.Getting back in the water is a way for her to reconnect with her past
:04:02. > :04:06.But it is only possible with the help of a volunteer,
:04:07. > :04:15.By 2025 there could be over 1 million people with dementia
:04:16. > :04:18.and I would like people to think, if dementia was to affect you,
:04:19. > :04:21.your family, your friends, how you would really
:04:22. > :04:24.like the support to be for that person, and perhaps
:04:25. > :04:31.if you have a few hours a month, or a week, of something you can do
:04:32. > :04:37.to enhance the journey of the person with dementia.
:04:38. > :04:44.As our population ages, dementia will touch more lives
:04:45. > :04:48.than ever before but it can be tackled side-by-side.
