:01:25. > :01:28.It is something that I do not ever think

:01:29. > :01:38.What saddens me the most about it is that it shadows my

:01:39. > :01:41.memory of Alice when she was alive and when she was happy.

:01:42. > :01:50.Last month, Alice's ex-boyfriend Trimaan Dhillon

:02:04. > :02:06.needed the toilet he made her get out and stand in her kitchen with

:02:07. > :02:15.What type of man would do that to anyone never mind

:02:53. > :02:55.Alice's friends and family have now set up a trust

:02:56. > :02:58.in her name to try and highlight the signs of abusive relationships.

:02:59. > :03:01.It doesn't feel like she's gone but that is more of a testament

:03:02. > :03:04.to her, she was so loved and she left such

:03:11. > :03:13.manipulative and emotionally abusive.

:03:14. > :03:18.It doesn't just end there, this is what

:03:19. > :03:22.it can escalate to and we people to know that because we didn't.

:03:54. > :03:56.Negotiators have been trying to talk to the resident,

:03:57. > :03:59.but so far there seems little indication of a resolution.

:04:06. > :04:10.They say they attended as part of a mental health issue,

:04:11. > :04:14.but during the afternoon matters escalated dramatically.

:04:15. > :04:16.As officers tried to negotiate, several petrol bombs were thrown

:04:17. > :04:28.The second burst into flames at the feet of the officers.

:04:29. > :04:54.All sides of the street were surrounded but most residents

:04:57. > :04:59.Police, fire and ambulance crews train together

:05:00. > :04:59.for scenarios like this, but as a senior officer told me,

:05:00. > :05:00.the commander on the spot has to make the decision

:05:01. > :05:00.But there are a number of trained negotiators still around and it has

:05:01. > :05:03.been indicated to me that, as long as the situation remains

:05:04. > :05:06.stable, police are in no hurry to force an end to this incident.

:05:07. > :05:09.The police cordon remains in place here tonight.

:05:10. > :05:12.The man at the centre of it, a 47-year-old, is thought to be

:05:13. > :05:24.He is also believed to be known to the police.

:05:25. > :05:26.Two burst water mains in separate locations caused

:05:27. > :05:32.Traffic ground to a halt during the rush hour

:05:33. > :05:35.as the flooding overwhelmed roads, and parts of the Metro

:05:47. > :05:49.This was the Tyne and Wear Metro in West Jesmond this morning.

:05:50. > :05:54.Hundreds of metres of track under six feet of water.

:06:14. > :06:14.through the allotment over the paving,

:06:15. > :06:22.This is a flash flood from the burst water main that has affected

:06:23. > :06:25.the busiest part of the Metro system.

:06:26. > :06:28.That was clearly a huge disruption to our passengers.

:06:29. > :06:32.Four miles away, up to 1500 homes were without water until lunchtime

:06:33. > :06:37.after a second burst water main in the east of the city.

:06:38. > :06:44.Bottled water was handed to residents.

:07:00. > :07:04.to the Trust's Medical Director, Dr Jeremy Rushmer.

:07:05. > :07:08.I think by tomorrow we will have got all of our elective activity up

:07:09. > :07:12.There have been some cancellations for some elective

:07:13. > :07:15.activity through this week, but the amount of work that we have

:07:16. > :07:23.We're now processing GP samples, with reconnecting to other parts

:07:24. > :07:27.of the NHS and we just, we can see the path back

:07:34. > :07:35.Microsoft computers, we are a very, very technology heavy

:07:36. > :07:39.business, so we need to work really closely

:07:40. > :07:46.about getting the appropriate software patches.

:07:47. > :07:49.But your trust in that statement on Friday,

:07:50. > :07:52.when all this started, said that you had robust continuity

:07:53. > :07:54.plans in place for any unexpected circumstances,

:07:55. > :08:00.They can't do that robust otherwise you would still not

:08:01. > :08:09.The emergency department has been open through out all that time,

:08:10. > :08:13.we've honoured a very large proportion, we have done far

:08:14. > :08:27.I think we have really minimalist destruction to patients.

:08:28. > :08:33.-- minimalise disruption to patients.

:08:34. > :08:35.We have also been contacted by some of your staff,

:08:36. > :08:38.some of your nursing staff who say that the weekend, and the situation

:08:39. > :08:42.You have been playing this down, haven't you?

:09:55. > :09:59.Clear skies and light winds so temperatures will drop. Mostly dry

:10:00. > :10:06.start tomorrow with one or two showers morning at -- across parts

:10:07. > :10:10.of Cumbria. Then showers breaking out across the north-east but good

:10:11. > :10:15.sunny spells in between. Sunny across most areas by the end of the

:10:16. > :10:20.afternoon just some showers lingering in North Yorkshire.

:10:21. > :10:32.A mostly light south-westerly breeze. Low pressure dominates over
