0:00:12 > 0:00:14Hello, good evening.

0:00:14 > 0:00:17A 51-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a man

0:00:17 > 0:00:18in Catterick Garrison.

0:00:18 > 0:00:2134-year-old Craig Guy was found stabbed to death on Thursday

0:00:21 > 0:00:23night at The Beacon, a centre for homeless veterans

0:00:23 > 0:00:25where he was a resident.

0:00:25 > 0:00:29The man accused is due to appear in court tomorrow.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32The family of a seriously ill girl from Newcastle,

0:00:32 > 0:00:34who turned to social media to locate a vital piece of medical

0:00:34 > 0:00:38equipment, say they've been overwhelmed by public support.

0:00:38 > 0:00:41Seven year old Molly Grace was in desperate need

0:00:41 > 0:00:44of a special feeding tube after a national shortage left

0:00:44 > 0:00:47the RVI in Newcastle without any.

0:00:47 > 0:00:49Phil Connell has the story.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52Hi, everyone.

0:00:52 > 0:00:55This is Molly and she'd like to say thank you to

0:00:55 > 0:00:59everybody for the likes and shares of my Facebook appeal...

0:00:59 > 0:01:06Molly Grace has severe cerebral palsy and last week

0:01:06 > 0:01:08was in desperate need of an important piece of

0:01:08 > 0:01:09medical equipment.

0:01:09 > 0:01:12A feeding tube attached to her bowel was too short and the RVI

0:01:12 > 0:01:13in Newcastle, where Molly's being treated,

0:01:13 > 0:01:17didn't have one big enough.

0:01:17 > 0:01:19Increasingly concerned, her parents decided to embrace

0:01:19 > 0:01:22the power of social media.

0:01:22 > 0:01:24It made us feel better,

0:01:24 > 0:01:26by putting the appeal out we felt like we were doing something

0:01:26 > 0:01:31in the meantime, not expecting at all that it was going to work.

0:01:31 > 0:01:33But with 30,000 shares, it did.

0:01:33 > 0:01:37At a hospital in Glasgow the right sized tube was found

0:01:37 > 0:01:42and a charity volunteered to drive it to Newcastle.

0:01:42 > 0:01:46We don't often get to see the long-term impact of what we have

0:01:46 > 0:01:49achieved so yesterday, yeah, it was something really

0:01:49 > 0:01:52special and the fact that, you know, we knew we had made

0:01:52 > 0:01:53such a great difference.

0:01:53 > 0:01:57The RVI says the problem was caused by a national shortage

0:01:57 > 0:02:01of feeding tubes and was not specific to Newcastle.

0:02:01 > 0:02:04And along with Molly's family,

0:02:04 > 0:02:08they were grateful to NHS colleagues who acted so positively.

0:02:08 > 0:02:11My phone's sort of pinging and pinging and

0:02:11 > 0:02:14pinging with all of these messages and shares and requests to help.

0:02:14 > 0:02:15Really unbelievable.

0:02:15 > 0:02:18It's gone to, like, Australia and everywhere, it's amazing.

0:02:18 > 0:02:20What does Molly make of it?

0:02:20 > 0:02:25She's just really, like, happy, I think she likes all the attention.

0:02:25 > 0:02:29Molly's family now hopes to raise ?1000 for the charity

0:02:29 > 0:02:31that helped, overwhelmed by the public support

0:02:31 > 0:02:33in their hour of need.

0:02:33 > 0:02:38Phil Connell, BBC Look North, Newcastle.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42The Archbishop of York has spoken about courage and hope this Easter.

0:02:42 > 0:02:46But it wasn't exactly a traditional sermon that Dr John Sentamu gave

0:02:46 > 0:02:53to a packed congregation at York Minster.

0:02:53 > 0:02:58He surprised worshippers by playing the Animals 1960s song,

0:02:58 > 0:03:01We've Got To Get Out Of This Place.

0:03:01 > 0:03:04The whole thing of that song for me is saying never,

0:03:04 > 0:03:06never see death or trouble or problems

0:03:06 > 0:03:11as having the last word.

0:03:11 > 0:03:15The last word is God who, in Jesus, always is remaking things

0:03:15 > 0:03:18and giving us fresh starts and I have seen this so much

0:03:18 > 0:03:22in my own life that that song really did tell me, yeah, yeah.

0:03:22 > 0:03:29I mean, I had to get out of Uganda in 1974.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31So you've got to get out of here, babe,

0:03:31 > 0:03:32because there is a better life.

0:03:32 > 0:03:38The father of missing York woman Claudia Lawrence has performed

0:03:38 > 0:03:41on a TV talent show to raise awareness about his daughter.

0:03:41 > 0:03:44Peter Lawrence was part of a choir of people who are trying to find

0:03:44 > 0:03:46loved ones who have vanished.

0:03:46 > 0:03:48They sang a song called I Miss You on ITV's

0:03:48 > 0:03:49Britain's Got Talent.

0:03:49 > 0:03:54Claudia vanished on her way to work at the University of York in 2009.

0:03:54 > 0:03:57Cricket, and play was abandoned for the day at Chester le Street,

0:03:57 > 0:03:59in Durham's first match of the County Championship season

0:03:59 > 0:04:00against Nottinghamshire.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03Rain disrupted much of the day with less than 12 overs possible

0:04:03 > 0:04:05during the afternoon.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08With one day left, Durham lead the visitors by 58

0:04:08 > 0:04:11runs with three wickets of their second innings remaining.

0:04:11 > 0:04:15Notts have an innings to come.

0:04:15 > 0:04:17Football, Middlesbrough don't play in the Premier League until

0:04:17 > 0:04:19tomorrow night when they entertain Arsenal at the Riverside.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21Boro are second bottom, six points from safety

0:04:21 > 0:04:23with seven games left to play.

0:04:23 > 0:04:27But caretaker boss, Steve Agnew, says his players still believe

0:04:27 > 0:04:34they can avoid relegation, despite their precarious position.

0:04:34 > 0:04:38I couldn't ask any more from them in terms of all the work that we've

0:04:38 > 0:04:38done in recent weeks.

0:04:38 > 0:04:40It's just that, as I keep saying,

0:04:40 > 0:04:43little bit of loco, the bounce of the ball, a goal,

0:04:43 > 0:04:44a chance, pushing the opponents back

0:04:44 > 0:04:54but I sense that the players feel that we're almost there with it.

0:04:55 > 0:04:56The weather's been a mixed bag today

0:04:56 > 0:04:58but will Bank Holiday Monday fare any better?

0:04:58 > 0:05:00Here's Owain Wyn-Evans with the forecast.

0:05:01 > 0:05:01Hello, hello.

0:05:01 > 0:05:03Hope you've had a good Easter so far.

0:05:03 > 0:05:06If you're off tomorrow, OK, it's a little bit of a mixed bag.

0:05:06 > 0:05:10It'll be quite cloudy and we do have a fair few showers in that

0:05:10 > 0:05:12forecast as well but there is room for some brightness.

0:05:12 > 0:05:14More on that in just a second.

0:05:14 > 0:05:15Back to tonight.

0:05:15 > 0:05:17So, this band of rain clears towards the south.

0:05:17 > 0:05:20We will see plenty of dry weather around then, just a few showers

0:05:20 > 0:05:23creeping down from the north, maybe turning a bit wintry

0:05:23 > 0:05:24on the fells, maybe the Cheviots.

0:05:24 > 0:05:27Lows of three or four Celsius with a light breeze.

0:05:27 > 0:05:30OK, tomorrow morning is quite cloudy for most of us.

0:05:30 > 0:05:32You can see these showers really piling in

0:05:32 > 0:05:34from the north, it is like a pipeline of showers.

0:05:34 > 0:05:38Top temperatures of 11 or 12 Celsius.

0:05:38 > 0:05:40But we will see things brighten up.

0:05:40 > 0:05:43A very cold night tomorrow night but actually the outlook for the

0:05:43 > 0:05:45next few days is pretty settled.

0:05:45 > 0:05:48See you soon.

0:05:48 > 0:05:51And that's our summary so far this Easter Sunday.

0:05:51 > 0:05:53There's more detail on our online pages of course.

0:05:53 > 0:05:55And I'll be back here with an update around 10:30.
