:00:00. > :00:00.Sunday. Make the most of Saturday because Sunday

:00:07. > :00:17.Welcome to Look North. Richard HS2 take a different route through

:00:18. > :00:22.Yorkshire? We will investigate whether more tunnels could reduce

:00:23. > :00:25.damage to the landscape. If Yorkshire set for another

:00:26. > :00:28.record`breaking Olympics? The British team for the games include

:00:29. > :00:35.more competitive than ever before from this region. Later join me in

:00:36. > :00:43.Sheffield where we will be exploring an argument that answers, what do

:00:44. > :00:46.you have on your chips? It was a threatening looking sky earlier

:00:47. > :00:48.today and there unsettled weather to come over the next few days. A

:00:49. > :01:03.detailed forecast follows shortly. Good evening. Welcome to the

:01:04. > :01:06.programme. First tonight. The campaigners who say the proposed

:01:07. > :01:09.High Speed Rail link from London to Leeds should take a different route

:01:10. > :01:13.through Yorkshire. Residents living near the proposed HS2 route in Leeds

:01:14. > :01:18.took their idea to Downing Street today. They say their plans which

:01:19. > :01:30.include more tunneling are more environmentally friendly. In a

:01:31. > :01:34.moment we'll ask if this is simply a case of not in my backyard but in

:01:35. > :01:36.yours. First Phil Bodmer has the details. Campaigners in London and

:01:37. > :01:38.over suggestions for alternative route for the proposed high`speed

:01:39. > :01:41.rail line. Currently HS2's preferred option follows a northerly

:01:42. > :01:48.trajectory between Wakefield and Normanton. Kevin West and onto

:01:49. > :01:52.Stourton and then tunnels into Leeds. The alternative route curves

:01:53. > :01:58.West by Stanley and Lofthouse towards the M1. It then follows the

:01:59. > :02:01.motorway north and into Leeds. Campaigners claim the alternative

:02:02. > :02:05.route will be quicker into Leeds, and say it will also be out of sight

:02:06. > :02:10.of residential properties. But they acknowledge following the line up to

:02:11. > :02:15.Stourton will add to the overall cost of the project. The line along

:02:16. > :02:21.the motorway would need tunnelling, and it claimed this would remove the

:02:22. > :02:24.need for 360 foot high viaduct. We are appealing to the Prime Minister

:02:25. > :02:29.himself and have various proposals which are being discussed and until

:02:30. > :02:32.we can get some traction, on HS2, on compensation issues and the

:02:33. > :02:38.alternative route, we are really struggling. HS2 say their opening

:02:39. > :02:45.two alternatives but will need to look at costs. It's at an

:02:46. > :02:50.engineering, feasible, cost issues, things to look at, but the point

:02:51. > :02:54.is, getting alternatives on the table is a good thing. The council

:02:55. > :02:59.had given the suggestions are broad support the people we spoke to today

:03:00. > :03:03.seem split on the issue. It's exciting. I've lived here all my

:03:04. > :03:13.life, I've heard all these complaints. This is to be a great

:03:14. > :03:21.big quarry. Either way, it's going to infringe on people 's homes,

:03:22. > :03:27.obviously wildlife, through the canal. I think they should scrap it.

:03:28. > :03:31.All views on HS2 will be considered by an independent analyst the for

:03:32. > :03:36.any changes are announced later this year. Well joining me now from

:03:37. > :03:41.Westminster is the Conservative MP for Elmet and Rothwell Alec

:03:42. > :03:48.Shelbrooke. Aren't you just moving the problem to someone else's back

:03:49. > :03:51.yard? It's actually stay in my backyard, it goes through my

:03:52. > :03:56.constituency. The important thing, what we have done here is we have

:03:57. > :04:00.taken the idea of HS2, something very important for the city of

:04:01. > :04:05.Leeds, and said that we must have this project but it can't be built

:04:06. > :04:10.on the back of hard`working people losing their property values, so by

:04:11. > :04:14.going for an alternative route, the route which I have suggested takes a

:04:15. > :04:19.tunnel through the valley and comes out in the areas which already have

:04:20. > :04:24.industry in them. Therefore avoiding the rule areas, so trying to be a

:04:25. > :04:30.positive move forward rather than a note not in my backyard thing.

:04:31. > :04:35.There's already concerns over the cost of HS2. Who is going to cover

:04:36. > :04:40.these changes? I don't care what it costs. This needs to be built and

:04:41. > :04:42.needs to be built to a standard which doesn't blight people 's

:04:43. > :04:46.lives, and if that means more money has to be spent to get that right,

:04:47. > :04:52.I'm happy for that. However, I believe, because of the geological

:04:53. > :04:55.issues we have in the area, I think it could turn out to be a better

:04:56. > :05:03.value for money building this tunnel. Do you think the route will

:05:04. > :05:06.change? On the 19th of July, I had the directors of HS2 come to the

:05:07. > :05:12.area and we did a five`hour fieldwork trip with people from the

:05:13. > :05:16.local community. At the end of that tour, the director said I fully

:05:17. > :05:19.understand we have got to have another think about what we do in

:05:20. > :05:22.this part of the route. Thank you. And on tomorrow's Look North we'll

:05:23. > :05:28.be reporting from Kent where Britain's first high speed railway

:05:29. > :05:32.line was built. We'll look at the effect it's had on residents there

:05:33. > :05:38.and some of the benefits to its economy. Later on Look North.

:05:39. > :05:44.There's no`one quite like Grandma. Why this young lad had his hair cut

:05:45. > :05:54.off by his idol. Huddersfield Giants' Earl Crabtree. 1000 people

:05:55. > :05:57.filled Barkers Pool in Sheffield today for a homecoming parade by

:05:58. > :06:00.soldiers from The Chestnut Troop ` the first regiment of the Royal

:06:01. > :06:04.Horse Artillery. They have recently returned from a tour of duty in

:06:05. > :06:08.Helmand Province. The Lord Mayor said it was an honour to have them

:06:09. > :06:12.in the city. Tom Ingall was there. The sound of a homecoming. A signal

:06:13. > :06:21.for many in the city to stand and applaud.

:06:22. > :06:27.The Chestnut Troop, part of the 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery

:06:28. > :06:31.regularly exercise their freedom of Sheffield. For some, today's parade

:06:32. > :06:38.took them down familiar streets. A proud moment for ourselves and

:06:39. > :06:42.Sheffield as we have strong ties with the city. We have got the

:06:43. > :06:47.freedom of Sheffield in 2002 and ever since, we have come back to the

:06:48. > :06:55.city and paraded for the people of Sheffield. Two teams of six horses

:06:56. > :06:59.pulled replica guns through the streets. The opening shots of the

:07:00. > :07:09.First World War were fired by the Chestnut tree. We finished a century

:07:10. > :07:11.on from where the trip originally fought with distinction. The

:07:12. > :07:16.soldiers were presented with air campaign medals by the Lord Mayor of

:07:17. > :07:19.Sheffield. As the Lord Mayor, I speak for all citizens of Sheffield

:07:20. > :07:26.when I say how proud we are to welcome you back to Sheffield today.

:07:27. > :07:29.It's a fantastic event to see all these troops lined up. They have

:07:30. > :07:36.graced us with their presence, really. I'm just so honoured to be

:07:37. > :07:41.part of it. A good turnout from the home crowd, wasn't it? Absolutely,

:07:42. > :07:46.that's what's good about Sheffield. People are proud of the troops.

:07:47. > :07:50.Having been in the forces 60 years ago, it's nice to see the

:07:51. > :07:55.present`day troops on parade. And I'm proud of them and I'm proud for

:07:56. > :07:58.what they do in Afghanistan. They need all the help they can get and

:07:59. > :08:02.all the praise. I don't think they get enough praise for what they do.

:08:03. > :08:06.With families and veterans looking on, this was a proud day for many.

:08:07. > :08:17.And a chance for the city to share its gratitude. Sheffield's wonderful

:08:18. > :08:22.black form `` welcome for The Chestnut Troop. In the rest of the

:08:23. > :08:25.day's news. There's been a fall in the number of unemployed in

:08:26. > :08:28.Yorkshire and the Humber, in line with the national trend. Figures for

:08:29. > :08:31.the three`month period between September and November show there

:08:32. > :08:33.were 235,000 people without a job. That's 8,000 fewer than the previous

:08:34. > :08:37.quarter. The regional unemployment rate is now 8.4%, the second highest

:08:38. > :08:41.in Britain. ?17 million of lottery money is being given to Sheffield

:08:42. > :08:44.and Leeds to help young people get off benefits and into jobs. In South

:08:45. > :08:48.Yorkshire, the money will be distributed by the charity Sheffield

:08:49. > :08:51.Futures. It's part of a nation`wide scheme aimed at helping 18 to

:08:52. > :08:59.24`year`olds to get on the career ladder. They say they don't feel

:09:00. > :09:02.they have confidence, they don't how to respond to jobs, they don't feel

:09:03. > :09:07.like they have a direction. They don't really know how to approach

:09:08. > :09:12.employers or how to get past recruitment agencies, for example.

:09:13. > :09:17.We are here to give them work experience, paid work experience,

:09:18. > :09:19.paid job opportunities, as well as an opportunity to explore the

:09:20. > :09:22.entrepreneurial side. A murder investigation has begun in Sheffield

:09:23. > :09:26.after an elderly woman's body was found this morning. South Yorkshire

:09:27. > :09:29.Police say a woman in her 50s has been arrested on suspicion of murder

:09:30. > :09:33.after the body of a 93`year`old was found at a house on Crimicar Lane in

:09:34. > :09:35.Fulwood just after nine o'clock. Villagers are campaigning for safety

:09:36. > :09:39.improvements to a North Yorkshire road where three people died last

:09:40. > :09:42.year. Two men and a woman were killed in November on the B1248 at

:09:43. > :09:48.Wharram Le Street after their car crashed head on into a van. They

:09:49. > :09:54.were on their way to work at the Malton bacon factory. Three B in

:09:55. > :09:58.North Yorkshire have made it into the world's top ten, as voted for in

:09:59. > :10:02.the Tripadvisor Traveller's Choice Awards. The All Seasons Guest House,

:10:03. > :10:06.in Filey, took second place. Saxon Villa in Robin Hoods Bay came

:10:07. > :10:09.fourth, and Millgate B in Masam is ranked ninth. No hotels in the

:10:10. > :10:12.county made it onto the international list, but Harrogate's

:10:13. > :10:18.Rudding Park has been named the second best hotel in the UK. And

:10:19. > :10:22.congratulations to Quayside of Whitby who have today been named the

:10:23. > :10:29.Independent Take Away fish and chip shop of the year at the National

:10:30. > :10:33.Fish and Chip Awards in London. Have you tried them? I have indeed. They

:10:34. > :10:36.are wonderful. Well done. Having pride in your grandchildren isn't

:10:37. > :10:39.unusual, but one Bradford woman is especially proud. Margaret Pollard

:10:40. > :10:42.was diagnosed with breast cancer a year ago and says her grandchildren

:10:43. > :10:45.helped her survive the ordeal. We'll be hearing from Margaret in a

:10:46. > :10:48.moment, but first Olivia Richwald went to meet 10`year`old Bryan

:10:49. > :10:59.Usher, who made the biggest sacrifice he could imagine to help

:11:00. > :11:05.his grandma's charity. Huddersfield giant Bill Crabtree. Six foot six,

:11:06. > :11:09.18 stone, long blonde hair. The John Smith's stadium is as battlefield

:11:10. > :11:15.and it is here today a sacrifice is about to be made. Ten`year`old Brian

:11:16. > :11:19.has been growing his here since he was six. He wants to be just like

:11:20. > :11:26.his hero Earl Crabtree, but is about to find out the prop forward is

:11:27. > :11:31.actually going to be his barber. How are you? Don't be shy. All right? I

:11:32. > :11:36.heard them somebody around him with better here than me and I thought,

:11:37. > :11:39.that can't be true. Brian offered to shave his head to supporters

:11:40. > :11:44.grandmother Margaret who was diagnosed with breast cancer a year

:11:45. > :11:48.ago. And, as his 14 inch ponytail is about to head the dressing room

:11:49. > :11:57.floor, he has just two words. Quite nervous. Here we go. This bit first.

:11:58. > :12:02.I was his favourite player until today. I feel really guilty. Why

:12:03. > :12:07.would he want to thank me? I'm slightly scared, you know. In a few

:12:08. > :12:12.years, you're going to come back and say, do you remember you cut my hair

:12:13. > :12:17.and ruined my life? The ponytail which took four years to grow, has

:12:18. > :12:22.gone in just ten minutes. But Brian plans to grow it back. For Margaret,

:12:23. > :12:29.to date the had given a giant a gesture she will never forget.

:12:30. > :12:32.Fantastic. I'm pleased to say Margaret is in the studio with us

:12:33. > :12:36.now, along with grandsons Bryan and Tony. Brian, you are sporting a new

:12:37. > :12:40.hairdo full soap powders are sporting a new hairdo full sub how

:12:41. > :12:45.does it feel? It feels emotional. How does it feel to have shorter?

:12:46. > :12:53.Strange. It has taken years after, Brian. Today was a surprise for you,

:12:54. > :12:59.wasn't it? Yeah. What was it like to meet your idol? I felt like the

:13:00. > :13:02.luckiest boy at that point. I'm sure grandmother felt the luckiest

:13:03. > :13:08.grandmother in the world. What is the last year been like for you? It

:13:09. > :13:15.has been hard at times. But I kept optimistic, kept going, even when my

:13:16. > :13:20.prognosis was quite bad. It's a matter of looking forward, keeping

:13:21. > :13:25.going, you can't give in. What does this lady mean to you? A lot,

:13:26. > :13:31.because when I found out, I was very upset, and I want to help as much as

:13:32. > :13:39.I could. You haven't got hair like the young man next to you. Did you

:13:40. > :13:42.play rugby? Yes. I would've thought it said its advantage to have long

:13:43. > :13:47.hair because they could yank you back. They can't do that now, can

:13:48. > :13:54.they? What position do you play? Wing. You can score lots of tries

:13:55. > :13:58.now. Your grandmother has sported several hairdos. Over the last 12

:13:59. > :14:06.months. Here are some pictures of you. Oh dear, glamorous granny. A

:14:07. > :14:11.rainbow coloured there. I hope of the positive twist on things,

:14:12. > :14:17.Margaret. Yes, you have got to keep positive. I think people are afraid

:14:18. > :14:21.of the word cancer. If I said I had got something else, nothing, but

:14:22. > :14:26.when you say you have got cancer, you have got to be positive. You

:14:27. > :14:33.have got to think you can make it. But you need help from family. Yes,

:14:34. > :14:39.definitely. My grandchildren... You are in remission now. Yes. You came

:14:40. > :14:45.here today because he wanted a say something to your chance ``

:14:46. > :14:49.grandchildren. Thank you for your help, and to Rebecca, my

:14:50. > :14:54.granddaughter, who can't be here. We do have a surprise for you. Take a

:14:55. > :15:00.look at this. Hello, grandma. Sorry I couldn't be there in person, due

:15:01. > :15:04.to school. I have no idea how you managed to keep positive all the

:15:05. > :15:08.way. I suppose a different coloured wigs helped. You are truly

:15:09. > :15:13.inspirational. I will always admire you full sub you are so brave, love

:15:14. > :15:20.you loads, grandma and grandad. How do you feel? That is a shot, that's

:15:21. > :15:24.not fair. That's my other granddaughter, Rebecca full sub they

:15:25. > :15:30.are all wonderful. They have raised over ?1000 between them. They have

:15:31. > :15:35.done fantastic and so have you. Thank you very much for coming in.

:15:36. > :15:42.Well done, bawdy. What would you do with your hair. I don't know. Put it

:15:43. > :15:45.in a box. Before 7.00pm. A storm over sauce. Sheffield's Hendersons

:15:46. > :15:46.Relish put to the test after it's called a Worcester Sauce

:15:47. > :15:58.impersonator. How dare they! After the incredible achievements of

:15:59. > :16:05.Yorkshire athletes at London 2012, we're set for another

:16:06. > :16:08.record`breaking Olympics. Today the British team was announced for the

:16:09. > :16:12.Sochi Winter Olympics in just over two weeks' time. I have been lucky

:16:13. > :16:15.enough to cover three winters and it is a wonderful experience, so good

:16:16. > :16:19.luck to all our Yorkshire competitors. More than ever before.

:16:20. > :16:23.There will be ten as part of the squad leaving for Russia. To tell us

:16:24. > :16:31.who we need to be looking out for, here's Ian Bucknell.

:16:32. > :16:41.Ten is the magic number for Yorkshire in Russia. Number one,

:16:42. > :16:46.Shelley Rudman. She won Olympic silver in the skeleton bob in 2006.

:16:47. > :16:51.It is also the reigning world champion and looks our best hope of

:16:52. > :16:55.having a medal. I know I have done everything possible to just go out

:16:56. > :16:59.there and perform as well as I can. I would like to walk away from this

:17:00. > :17:04.Olympics just feeling really proud to be in this position, my third

:17:05. > :17:08.Olympics, and walk away with a smile on my face knowing I did every thing

:17:09. > :17:14.possible. She is joined by her partner Christine Bromley and

:17:15. > :17:19.finally, John Baines from North Yorkshire, who is part of the

:17:20. > :17:22.bobsleigh team. It's part of my dream to be in the Olympics as a

:17:23. > :17:29.small child. Thinking back to primary school, thinking, imagine

:17:30. > :17:37.doing that sport. In freestyle skiing, James Woods, who led that is

:17:38. > :17:43.learned his trade in Sheffield. He has won a silver medal a year ago.

:17:44. > :17:47.Katie Summerhays as the earnest member team Yorkshire. She put on a

:17:48. > :17:51.performance of her life to take silver at the World Cup at the

:17:52. > :17:57.weekend. Emma Lonsdale from North Yorkshire and James May Chin

:17:58. > :18:00.complete our freestyle skiing full sub Jamie Nicholson started

:18:01. > :18:03.snowboarding Madiba seven and frozen self of a man`made cliff for a

:18:04. > :18:08.living and that's got to be worth a place at the Olympics. It's pretty

:18:09. > :18:14.crazy, big achievement for me. I never thought when I was growing up,

:18:15. > :18:18.seven years old, I would be representing my country at the

:18:19. > :18:22.Olympics. Snowboard cross as a dangerous race to the bottom of the

:18:23. > :18:24.healthful sub Zoe Billings goes amiss this one and a team is

:18:25. > :18:30.completed by Dominic Carrington, originated from Leeds in

:18:31. > :18:37.snowboarding. There is the ten to follow. It's on the BBC starting on

:18:38. > :18:41.the seventh of debris. `` February. Football now and we only had one

:18:42. > :18:44.team in action last night but their match produced enough drama for a

:18:45. > :18:47.full fixture list. It all looked to be going to plan against Rochdale

:18:48. > :18:51.when Gary Roberts gave the Spirites the lead as half time approached.

:18:52. > :18:54.Midway through the second half Marc Richards eventually got the ball in

:18:55. > :18:58.the net after it had pinged around the area, putting them two up. It

:18:59. > :19:02.stayed like that until injury time. Richards handballed on the line to

:19:03. > :19:07.give away a penalty and get sent off. It was now 2`1. Then,

:19:08. > :19:12.catastrophe. Rochdale levelled, and it finished 2`2. Staying with

:19:13. > :19:16.football and Doncaster Rovers have signed their former striker Billy

:19:17. > :19:19.Sharp on loan until the end of the season. Before he left in 2012,

:19:20. > :19:21.Sharp scored 40 goals for Rovers, including this one against

:19:22. > :19:28.Middlesbrough shortly after the death of his young son. Sharp says

:19:29. > :19:35.he's delighted and very excited to be returning. We hope to talk to him

:19:36. > :19:38.tomorrow. And some sad news that the former Yorkshire cricketer, Graham

:19:39. > :19:41.Stevenson has died at the age of 58. The all`rounder played in 177 first

:19:42. > :19:46.class matches for the county taking 464 wickets and scoring nearly 4,000

:19:47. > :19:49.runs. He also played two Tests and four one`day internationals.

:19:50. > :19:57.Stevenson had endured ill`health in recent years and died in hospital.

:19:58. > :20:04.Let's move onto something a bit more saucy now! And the row over a

:20:05. > :20:15.Sheffield spicy relish. Sorry to disappoint you. When a London MP

:20:16. > :20:18.mocked Henderson's Relish in the Commons, labelling it a Worcester

:20:19. > :20:21.Sauce impersonator, he unleashed a viral storm. Across the internet

:20:22. > :20:24.lovers of the 100`year`old Sheffield institution rose up to defend it.

:20:25. > :20:27.Even the Deputy Prime Minister joined in. Our reporter James

:20:28. > :20:32.Vincent is in Sheffield now. James, do you know the difference? I

:20:33. > :20:37.reserve the right to be offended at that question to be honest as does

:20:38. > :20:43.everybody here. Let me take you to condiment corner. Three bottles of

:20:44. > :20:47.Henderson's Relish and one bottle of Worcester sauce. Nobody knows the

:20:48. > :20:51.recipe and no one has been allowed to film inside the factory until

:20:52. > :20:56.today. We got in and they were fighting their corner. Most

:20:57. > :21:01.Sheffield people would organise the shape of the bottle. Its distinctive

:21:02. > :21:07.smell, there's no need for a label at all. This is where Henderson's

:21:08. > :21:13.happens and they are letting me have a go. They have been making it for

:21:14. > :21:16.over 100 years. For anybody to get confused with any other sources on

:21:17. > :21:25.the market, people think it's a bit silly. They are trusting me with us

:21:26. > :21:30.today. Jim Dowd, a London MP, has not made friend appeared by saying

:21:31. > :21:35.it's a Worcester sauce knock`off. I didn't know there was such a thing.

:21:36. > :21:39.It's a spicy sauce, Jim, but not as you know it. Sheffield people are

:21:40. > :21:43.very proud of their city. And anything made in their city, and

:21:44. > :21:48.Hendersons is in major over 120 years now, and they like it. And

:21:49. > :21:53.don't want anybody to say anything naughty about it. We are going to do

:21:54. > :21:57.a taste test. Will people know the difference between Henderson's and

:21:58. > :22:02.Worcester sauce? I would put ?1000 on it quite happily. I know people

:22:03. > :22:10.could tell the difference. Two bottles, but can people in Sheffield

:22:11. > :22:17.tell the difference? We are in Sheffield market so let's commence.

:22:18. > :22:27.Relish. It's nice. Do you like it? It's all right. No charge? What do

:22:28. > :22:37.you make of that one? That's not nice. Which one is Henderson's? The

:22:38. > :22:47.first one. First or second? The second, the first one is too hot.

:22:48. > :22:54.That is Henderson's. No doubt. That is no good. Every single person we

:22:55. > :22:58.spoke to in the market, excuse me a second, knew exactly what

:22:59. > :23:02.Henderson's Relish was. Marie Dakin says: He hasn't a clue. A pie isn't

:23:03. > :23:05.a pie without Henderson's. Caron Kolowiecki says: I was born in the

:23:06. > :23:09.Midlands and raised on Worcester sauce but have lived in Yorkshire

:23:10. > :23:12.for nearly eight years and have been converted. Doreen Constantine says:

:23:13. > :23:15.He doesn't know what he's missing but his loss is our gain. Graham

:23:16. > :23:19.Rowe says: For 50 years my brother`in`law has lived abroad. He

:23:20. > :23:20.never failed to take back bottles of Henderson's whenever he visited

:23:21. > :23:23.Sheffield. Janice says Worcester sauce is nothing like Henderson's,

:23:24. > :23:28.no comparison at all. It is tea`time at the moment and if you don't mind,

:23:29. > :23:34.I've got some chips to eat. Enjoy, James. I look forward to seeing your

:23:35. > :23:36.expenses, as well. Time now for a look at the weather. Is it going to

:23:37. > :23:44.change? There was a risk the middle of next

:23:45. > :23:49.week might be cold enough for hill snow but blink and you will miss it.

:23:50. > :23:55.It looks unsettled. Strong winds and heavy rain over the next few days.

:23:56. > :24:03.Let's look at some pictures you have sent in. The first one, well worth

:24:04. > :24:09.another look. This was as the rain cleared during the course of this

:24:10. > :24:14.morning. This is very artistic. The cement works at Castleton.

:24:15. > :24:19.Absolutely sensational. The third picture you sent me, that was

:24:20. > :24:26.sunrise yesterday morning in Sheffield. Keep your pictures coming

:24:27. > :24:32.in. Tomorrow, there will be a short spell of really heavy rain that

:24:33. > :24:38.could turn wintering over the hills. The skies are soon brightening up.

:24:39. > :24:42.This is another one which will bring rain through the course on Friday

:24:43. > :24:48.and then we can look forward to more rain later on Sunday. Things are

:24:49. > :24:53.turning very much more unsettled. This is the satellite picture. A

:24:54. > :24:56.bank of cloud, broken cloud this afternoon, with a few showers, so

:24:57. > :25:02.straightforward forecast evening and overnight. A scattering of showers,

:25:03. > :25:07.especially in the West, but they will fizzle out ahead of that next

:25:08. > :25:13.weather front. Onto the Pennines by 6am something like that. Elsewhere,

:25:14. > :25:18.watch out for icy patches on untreated surfaces. 1`2 Celsius. The

:25:19. > :25:28.sun will rise in the morning at 8:07am. These are the high water

:25:29. > :25:32.times. A fast moving weather front bringing heavy rain, turning wintry

:25:33. > :25:36.over the hills, but look how fast it moves. By 9am, it is merely clear of

:25:37. > :25:42.the coast and then we have scattered showers and sunshine. A few showers

:25:43. > :25:51.on the wintry side but eastern areas will become dry. Highs of 6`7dC. Not

:25:52. > :25:52.far from normal. Rain spreading from the West through the course of the

:25:53. > :25:57.day. Thank you very much. We are back at

:25:58. > :26:21.10:25pm. Bye bye. Good night. We all have hopes and fears

:26:22. > :26:24.for the future and for the lives our children

:26:25. > :26:28.and grandchildren will lead. I want to build a Britain

:26:29. > :26:32.where everyone feels secure, so our long-term economic plan

:26:33. > :26:35.is building a stronger, more competitive economy

:26:36. > :26:40.and securing our country's future.
