:00:00. > 3:59:59known as a milestone in bionics, marrying man with machine. That's

:00:00. > :00:15.all from us. Lawyers representing senior police

:00:16. > :00:19.officers in charge at the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989 say

:00:20. > :00:22.they will raise the issue of alcohol playing a part in what happened.

:00:23. > :00:25.Families of the victims have reacted angrily to the claim calling it a

:00:26. > :00:29.disgrace. The details emerged during a pre`inquest hearing in London. 96

:00:30. > :00:32.Liverpool fans died in the crush at the Sheffield Wednesday football

:00:33. > :00:41.ground. Spencer Stokes reports from Hillsborough.

:00:42. > :00:46.New inquests into the deaths of the 96 fans that lost their lives here

:00:47. > :00:51.in 1989 will get underway next month. Pre`inquest hearings have

:00:52. > :00:57.been taking place and we have heard from lawyers representing South

:00:58. > :01:04.Yorkshire Police today. They want to introduce this suggesting that

:01:05. > :01:10.drunken fans did contribute to the deaths of the 96. They are not

:01:11. > :01:25.suggesting they were drunk but that may have led to the deaths. There

:01:26. > :01:31.was anger from the families. In all honesty, it is disgusting that even

:01:32. > :01:36.now these people are still arguing that alcohol was the cause of the

:01:37. > :01:41.disaster when it has been clearly stated several times that it was

:01:42. > :01:45.not. I do welcome it because we can prove that those that died were not

:01:46. > :01:55.drunk. Alcohol levels that were consumed on that day, it was not a

:01:56. > :01:59.worry. When the inquest gets underway, they will be visiting

:02:00. > :02:03.Hillsborough and seeing the police box and we'll be looking at this

:02:04. > :02:12.memorial here but they have been told they are not allowed to read

:02:13. > :02:18.the moving tributes. That is so they obtain their objectivity. A 3`D

:02:19. > :02:21.model of the grant will be created as it was back in 1989.

:02:22. > :02:25.A new indoor market that was built at a cost of ?3 million less than

:02:26. > :02:29.six years ago could be shut down. Wakefield Council says the number of

:02:30. > :02:32.people visiting the city's market is declining year on year and it's now

:02:33. > :02:37.looking at building a multi screen cinema complex on the site instead.

:02:38. > :02:46.But as Phil Bodmer reports stall holders say they'll fight the plans.

:02:47. > :02:53.Deborah took over this health food store last March but with plans to

:02:54. > :03:03.redevelop the site into a cinema, the former student nurse so she

:03:04. > :03:11.faces an uncertain future. I am so sure `` shocked. I will end up

:03:12. > :03:18.bankrupt because of it. Martin has been trading on Wakefield market for

:03:19. > :03:23.half a century and relocating made prove too expensive. I am a limited

:03:24. > :03:29.trading `` Trader and they are basically throwing me on the

:03:30. > :03:34.scrapheap. Wakefield Council says there has been a dramatic change in

:03:35. > :03:42.people's shopping had it `` habits since this centre was built. They

:03:43. > :03:56.are using neighbouring markets also. These are the figures.

:03:57. > :04:04.It is not as successful as we would have liked it to have been. The

:04:05. > :04:10.feeling across the city is that it is not offering as much back to the

:04:11. > :04:18.city as it could. Shoppers had a different view. It is great, it is

:04:19. > :04:27.cosy and to knock it down after five years is tragic. Why do you think

:04:28. > :04:40.people are not come here? I haven't been asked. Has there been a poll?

:04:41. > :04:43.Stallholders say they will fight the plans but in the meantime, they say

:04:44. > :04:47.it is business as usual. A man from Doncaster has been jailed

:04:48. > :04:50.for six months for defacing a portrait of the Queen with paint.

:04:51. > :04:53.Tim Haries, seen here in the leather jacket, caused ?7,000 worth of

:04:54. > :04:56.damage when he sprayed the word help onto the artwork last June. The

:04:57. > :05:00.42`year`old previously told the court he had nothing against the

:05:01. > :05:05.Queen but wanted to raise awareness of the Fathers For Justice campaign.

:05:06. > :05:08.Almost three`quarters of people in some parts of Yorkshire are

:05:09. > :05:11.overweight or obese, Government figures released today show.

:05:12. > :05:15.Doncaster is the second fattest area in England, with 74.4% of people

:05:16. > :05:21.having a body mass index of 25 or over. Ryedale in North Yorkshire is

:05:22. > :05:26.not far behind ` 73.7% of people there are said to be overweight or

:05:27. > :05:29.obese. Meanwhile North Yorkshire is the second fattest county in England

:05:30. > :05:37.with 67.9% of residents having a weight problem. Local councils and

:05:38. > :05:41.the government have been urged to do more to tackle the problem.

:05:42. > :05:44.The managing director of Enterprise Insurance, who sponsor Leeds United,

:05:45. > :05:49.says he no longer wants to takeover the club. Andrew Flowers' decision

:05:50. > :05:52.to pull out of talks makes it more likely that his rival, The Italian

:05:53. > :05:58.businessman Massimo Cellino, will succeed in HIS bid to takeover.

:05:59. > :06:01.Cellino agreed terms with the club's existing owners last week, but

:06:02. > :06:04.supporters protested and the deal has yet to be completed. In a

:06:05. > :06:29.statement Mr Flowers said: one night of football news and

:06:30. > :06:32.Sheffield United will now play Nottingham Forest in the next round

:06:33. > :06:34.of the FA Cup after Nottingham Forest won that match against

:06:35. > :06:52.Preston. Now for the weather. Tomorrow will be a better day but

:06:53. > :06:57.there will be more rain in the afternoon and into the evening. This

:06:58. > :07:07.let `` this low`pressure moves in for Friday. All of this will move

:07:08. > :07:12.northwards. Apart from the Yorkshire Dales, it should be dry by dawn. A

:07:13. > :07:19.few showers in the morning first thing across the Pennines otherwise

:07:20. > :07:26.it is bright with some sunshine. Rain will push into South Yorkshire

:07:27. > :07:29.and later into West Yorkshire. It turns wet eventually with

:07:30. > :07:40.temperatures around a Celsius. Friday is an improving day.

:07:41. > :07:47.As you have just heard, the little respite between one storm system and

:07:48. > :07:51.another and it is that cumulative effect which will cause further

:07:52. > :07:59.problems in the coming days with risks of flooding and further damage

:08:00. > :08:04.and destruction. This area of cloud is Saturday's potential stormy

:08:05. > :08:08.weather. Before that we have clout to the north west of Spain and

:08:09. > :08:13.Portugal which will come our way tomorrow. That is hot on the heels

:08:14. > :08:17.of this area of cloud. It is still with us at the moment. The winds are

:08:18. > :08:24.easing down, but there are still some gusty winds in the central

:08:25. > :08:25.belt. It is wet and windy
