:00:09. > :00:15.Good evening. A Yorkshire MP says disgraced politician Denis MacShane

:00:16. > :00:19.has been let out of jail too early. The former Rotherham MP was released

:00:20. > :00:22.on Friday after serving less than a third of his sentence for falsely

:00:23. > :00:26.claiming thousands of pounds in expenses. But Conservative Simon

:00:27. > :00:32.Reevell says he should have been behind bars for far longer. Here's

:00:33. > :00:35.our political editor Len Tingle. Before the Rotherham MP has served

:00:36. > :00:39.less than seven weeks of the six`month sentence he received for

:00:40. > :00:45.fraudulently using bogus invoices to claim almost ?13,000 of

:00:46. > :00:50.Parliamentary expenses. I have learned a lot. It has been a

:00:51. > :00:55.humbling, rewarding experience. I am fitter than I have been for the last

:00:56. > :01:00.ten years. I am glad to get and see my children, family and friends. But

:01:01. > :01:04.the MP who won the by`election of the Denis MacShane was forced to

:01:05. > :01:09.resign was asked what people in Rotherham and thought of his early

:01:10. > :01:15.release. Do you think people will be angry? I don't know if they will be

:01:16. > :01:19.angry. It is surprising it is only six weeks but if that is what the

:01:20. > :01:25.George thought appropriate, that is it. I think justice has been served.

:01:26. > :01:32.It is a matter of debate if you think he is fair after a third. He

:01:33. > :01:36.is an example of people who are getting out sooner than they should.

:01:37. > :01:41.Chris Grayling has introduced a bill about keeping people in prison in

:01:42. > :01:47.longer. I hope Denis MacShane with have the decency to keep his head

:01:48. > :01:51.down. Denis MacShane hasn't revealed was Clancy has for the future. ``

:01:52. > :01:55.what plans he has. Police are investigating after a man

:01:56. > :01:58.died in a nightclub in Halifax. The 38`year`old was punched and fell,

:01:59. > :02:01.hitting his head at the Liquid nightclub in the early hours of this

:02:02. > :02:05.morning. Police say the man who threw the punch left immediately and

:02:06. > :02:09.may not be aware of the outcome. He is described as in his late 20s or

:02:10. > :02:15.early 30s with short, dark hair. He was wearing a black long sleeved

:02:16. > :02:18.t`shirt. I would urge to come forward. It is my belief that he did

:02:19. > :02:24.not anticipate killing this 38`year`old man. But it is in his

:02:25. > :02:29.interest and I would ask him to think about the family of this man.

:02:30. > :02:33.We need to get together and resolve this for him as soon as possible.

:02:34. > :02:36.The Yorkshire Wildlife Park has said it's saddened to hear of the death

:02:37. > :02:39.of a Danish giraffe which it had offered to re`home. Marius, who

:02:40. > :02:42.lived at Copenhagen Zoo, made international headlines when it was

:02:43. > :02:45.announced he was to be put down despite being a young, apparently

:02:46. > :02:49.healthy animal. The park near Doncaster said it had room for

:02:50. > :02:51.Marius in its giraffe house but that it had never heard back from the

:02:52. > :02:55.Danish Zoo. A swimming pool, closed in Bradford

:02:56. > :02:57.nearly three years ago, is about to reopen. Manningham Baths is a listed

:02:58. > :03:01.building, the council closed it because it said it couldn't afford

:03:02. > :03:04.it. It's being replaced by a women only gym. Architects have worked

:03:05. > :03:11.round the Victorian design features and say they hope it will help

:03:12. > :03:15.regenerate the area. That it has been retained as a

:03:16. > :03:18.leisure facility and involved in health and fitness as it was always

:03:19. > :03:21.intended to be is a great tribute to the spirit of people here and to the

:03:22. > :03:29.developers and the investors in people behind it. The conservation

:03:30. > :03:32.team have been supportive as well. It has an extraordinary amount of

:03:33. > :03:35.support in the community. Football now and Sheffield Wednesday

:03:36. > :03:37.extended their great run of form yesterday when they beat promotion

:03:38. > :03:42.chasers Reading. Huddersfield meanwhile ended their run of four

:03:43. > :03:49.straight defeats. James Vincent has the round`up.

:03:50. > :03:55.Sheffield Wednesday 's revival under Stuart Gray. The unbeaten in eight

:03:56. > :04:06.league games. Stuart Pearce was set for Redding. Then came the second

:04:07. > :04:13.goal. To Barnsley old boys met at Oakwell. Chris O'Grady and Thomas a

:04:14. > :04:20.scuffle Barnsley. Ipswich scored two in the last ten minutes. With just

:04:21. > :04:25.five minutes to go, Adam Clayton gave Huddersfield a 1`0 win against

:04:26. > :04:29.Wigan. Sheffield United jumped ahead of Shrewsbury in the fight to stay

:04:30. > :04:40.in league one. Brian Flynn with a calm finish. Tacking into two

:04:41. > :04:47.goals, Gary Jones was the hero as Bradford came from behind to get a

:04:48. > :04:51.3`3 draw to crew. Chesterfield stayed top of league two after a 1`1

:04:52. > :04:58.draw at Scunthorpe. Humphreys brought down.

:04:59. > :05:01.And if you missed the action from any of our teams yesterday, you can

:05:02. > :05:07.catch up with the Football League Show on the BBC iPlayer.

:05:08. > :05:12.A real mixed bag of weather today. Is it any better?

:05:13. > :05:18.As we head through this evening it into tonight it is going to become

:05:19. > :05:22.host to dry and with clear skies and the light breeze we are looking at

:05:23. > :05:28.it just trust. Showers fizzling out. We shall have clear skies and the

:05:29. > :05:33.breeze falling light. The light blue on the map indicating a touch of

:05:34. > :05:38.frost and especially rule areas. The breeze remains fairly gentle. It'll

:05:39. > :05:43.be a chilly start to tomorrow. Watch out for icy stretches. Across

:05:44. > :05:47.southern part of Yorkshire that could be the odd isolated shower but

:05:48. > :05:52.on the whole it is not looking too bad. Further showers creeping on the

:05:53. > :05:54.Pennines. The breeze tomorrow remains gentle from the West and

:05:55. > :05:59.temperatures rise to around six Celsius. It could be worse. Our late

:06:00. > :06:16.bulletin is at 10:15pm. Good evening. We have a significant

:06:17. > :06:18.number of severe warnings out. Most of them have been issued on the

:06:19. > :06:25.River Thames today. Now, of course, with more rain due this week, that

:06:26. > :06:29.is not good news, and as well as that, we are expecting some gales as

:06:30. > :06:33.well on the coast. But this week, perhaps an increased risk of some

:06:34. > :06:38.snow as well. At the moment we are in a quiet spell of weather, with

:06:39. > :06:41.fewer showers around, this evening and overnight. There is a
