:00:33. > :00:41.And Modern Art in a stately setting ` new sculptures are unveildd in

:00:42. > :00:46.Derbyshire. It has turned ott to be a beautiful day. This was this

:00:47. > :00:48.morning, it looks like a sililar picture tomorrow. Join me for the

:00:49. > :01:03.details later. Good evening.

:01:04. > :01:07.Tonight: A father has been jailed for five years for the manslaughter

:01:08. > :01:10.of his own son, after he was killed by a massive electric shock while

:01:11. > :01:13.the pair were trying to ste`l overhead wiring in a field near

:01:14. > :01:17.Barnsley. Shaun Stewart was absent from court in Sheffield as ` jury

:01:18. > :01:19.took only ninety minutes to convict him for causing the death of

:01:20. > :01:22.29`year`old ex`soldier Brent Campbell. Power experts havd called

:01:23. > :01:25.the incident one of the worst they've ever dealt with. Our Crime

:01:26. > :01:30.Correspondent John Cundy has the background.

:01:31. > :01:35.What happened here on the 26th of March two years ago was the

:01:36. > :01:39.desperately tragically botched attempt by a father and son to steal

:01:40. > :01:46.what they thought was expensive overhead copper cable. Brent

:01:47. > :01:50.Campbell suffered an 11,000 bought fatal electric shock. John Stuart

:01:51. > :01:56.Lawrence and self in court `ccused of the manslaughter of his own son.

:01:57. > :02:02.Today he received concurrent jail service `` sentences of fivd and

:02:03. > :02:08.three years. He was not beer. He had run away in the middle of hhs trial.

:02:09. > :02:13.He will because and arrested. There is a warrant out for his arrest I

:02:14. > :02:22.would urge to hand himself hn as quickly as he can. The two had been

:02:23. > :02:27.short of money. It cut down a pole carrying overhead electricity wires.

:02:28. > :02:33.It still lies in the field hn Barnsley today. The telegraph pole,

:02:34. > :02:39.the line was on the ground, the conductors were down. The whole

:02:40. > :02:48.place was just loaded with dquipment on the floor. Supported 2300 homes

:02:49. > :02:53.in the area was cut. Father and son thought they had made the shte

:02:54. > :02:56.safety steal from. All the power went off to our customers btt

:02:57. > :03:01.several minutes later in our attempts to restore the supply, we

:03:02. > :03:07.may be overhead line live again by reward control. At that point, one

:03:08. > :03:11.of the members of the party was climbing up the conductor to remove

:03:12. > :03:17.the wire and that is how he was electrocuted. They thought they were

:03:18. > :03:26.stealing expensive copper, the IDF as it was inexpensive alimony. We

:03:27. > :03:33.get about 15 cases a week. This is extreme. People wearing real danger.

:03:34. > :03:38.This evening job `` Shaun Stewart is still a fugitive from justice,

:03:39. > :03:43.failing to stand up to the dvents which happened that fateful evening.

:03:44. > :03:47.Police have named a man who was shot dead and left in woodland in Leeds.

:03:48. > :03:50.The body of 31`year`old Colhn Piere was found by schoolboys as they

:03:51. > :03:57.walked through Gledhow Valldy Woods yesterday morning. Spencer Stokes is

:03:58. > :04:00.there for us now. This was ` gruesome discovery for thosd two

:04:01. > :04:05.teenage boys to make yesterday morning on their way to school. If

:04:06. > :04:10.you look behind me, you can see the bridge they were walking ovdr. As

:04:11. > :04:17.they came over the bridge, they looked into the woods and s`w the

:04:18. > :04:20.body of the man lying there. They quickly went over and other friends

:04:21. > :04:26.joined them, they called thd emergency services who came and

:04:27. > :04:33.established that the man had been shot about six hours before and had

:04:34. > :04:38.lost his life at the scene of the crime. Police have been reldasing

:04:39. > :04:49.more details about the man. He is a 31`year`old from Leeds, cold Colin

:04:50. > :04:55.Piere, known also as Craig to his friends. It was two children on

:04:56. > :05:00.their way to school who found Colin Piere in the woods behind you. They

:05:01. > :05:05.contacted the police. We have put things in place to support those

:05:06. > :05:10.individuals. Colin Piere is a family man and has a six`year`old child. He

:05:11. > :05:17.was a working man, well respected by his family. It is a sad loss to his

:05:18. > :05:23.family who are devastated. Tell us about the neighbourhood arotnd

:05:24. > :05:29.there. These woods are very popular with dog walkers. There is ` whole

:05:30. > :05:33.network of paths around herd. Lots of people still using them this

:05:34. > :05:38.morning although there was concern it may no longer be safe to use

:05:39. > :05:43.these parts. Police say thex believe this was a targeted killing and have

:05:44. > :05:48.been telling people they can still use these parts as normal. They had

:05:49. > :05:53.to stay away from the cordoned off area. The investigation continues

:05:54. > :05:57.this evening with the policd are appealing for witnesses to the

:05:58. > :06:00.shooting of Colin Piere which took place yesterday morning at `round

:06:01. > :06:04.two o'clock in the morning. Thank you very much.

:06:05. > :06:07.Later on Look North: It was a damaging home defeat for Ledds.

:06:08. > :06:12.As the off`field ownership problems continue... We'll have the latest on

:06:13. > :06:18.United's ownership saga, plts action from our other teams' games last

:06:19. > :06:22.night. His death effectively ended the War

:06:23. > :06:25.of the Roses back in 1485, but after the remains of Richard III were

:06:26. > :06:29.discovered in a Leicester c`r park in 2012, another battle has raged

:06:30. > :06:34.over where he should be fin`lly laid to rest. Today those campaigning for

:06:35. > :06:36.Richard III to be buried in York, gathered at Clifford's Tower to

:06:37. > :06:47.highlight their cause, tomorrow they'll take the fight to the High

:06:48. > :06:51.Court in London. It is a bitter battle over royal remains. One of

:06:52. > :06:58.words between two cities ovdr the right to bring `` to bury England's

:06:59. > :07:01.last Plantagenet King. Thosd supporting calls to bring Rhchard

:07:02. > :07:06.III home stepped up their fhght with a rally and march through the

:07:07. > :07:10.streets of York. This may bd acquired protests but the organisers

:07:11. > :07:15.say it sent a loud message that Richard III should be buried in

:07:16. > :07:20.York. He was Lord of the North. This is where he grew up and spent most

:07:21. > :07:23.of his life. He has a close connection with the North of

:07:24. > :07:28.England. His son is buried hn Yorkshire. We should care, we are

:07:29. > :07:33.one key and this is part of our heritage. If you don't have passed,

:07:34. > :07:39.you don't have a future. People should take note of what happening

:07:40. > :07:45.today. Richard III was slain during the Battle of Bosworth in 1485, his

:07:46. > :07:49.remains were discovered hundreds of years later in Leicester. The

:07:50. > :07:54.Ministry of Justice granted a licence for the bones to be exhumed

:07:55. > :07:59.and dream turned in Leicestdr Cathedral. That process is now being

:08:00. > :08:02.questioned. We need to have a fair process were everyone win to have

:08:03. > :08:08.their say and put their argtments forward and then a panel of experts

:08:09. > :08:11.ultimately will decide. For the moment, for the Ministry of Justice

:08:12. > :08:14.to decide, I do not think that is correct. In a statement the ministry

:08:15. > :08:31.said... Today, supporters of the calpaign to

:08:32. > :08:34.return Richard to York to their message to York Minster. Tolorrow

:08:35. > :08:37.they will take it to the High Court in London. And we'll be reporting

:08:38. > :08:42.live from the High Court in London tomorrow.

:08:43. > :08:45.Other news. The former Leeds and Halifax Rugby League player Graham

:08:46. > :08:48.Holroyd has gone on trial in Bradford accused of sexual offences

:08:49. > :08:51.dating back more than twentx years. Mr Holroyd, who's now 38, h`s denied

:08:52. > :08:55.five charges of indecent assault and one rape involving a boy and girl

:08:56. > :09:02.younger than himself when hd was aged between 11 and 15. The

:09:03. > :09:05.allegations are said to havd come to light in January last year.

:09:06. > :09:09.North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue has agreed to share control rools with

:09:10. > :09:13.the fire service in Cornwall. It means some 999 calls could be

:09:14. > :09:16.answered three hundred miles away. The fire service says it'll increase

:09:17. > :09:19.capacity during busy periods like severe weather. But the Fird

:09:20. > :09:25.Brigades Union has criticisdd the idea, saying local knowledgd is

:09:26. > :09:28.crucial to saving lives. Building work will begin next month

:09:29. > :09:31.on a ?150 million new shopphng centre in Leeds. The Victorha Gate

:09:32. > :09:35.development will house a fl`gship John Lewis store, a shopping arcade,

:09:36. > :09:39.restaurants and a casino as well as a multi storey car park. It will

:09:40. > :09:45.link to the existing Victorha Quarter and is due to open hn 2 16.

:09:46. > :09:48.In Sheffield a delegation from the Council is going to the biggest

:09:49. > :09:55.property investment conference in the world to try to get cash for

:09:56. > :09:59.developing the city centre. A group from the city are travelling to

:10:00. > :10:01.Cannes where more than four thousand investors from eighty different

:10:02. > :10:04.countries are meeting. They want to develop the city's retail qtarter

:10:05. > :10:10.after the Sevenstone shopping project was shelved last ye`r. If

:10:11. > :10:15.successful, the council plans to build bars, restaurants, offices and

:10:16. > :10:22.a new library. If you want to sell investment in perpetuity, the retail

:10:23. > :10:27.quarter, there is no better place to call than to France. So that is

:10:28. > :10:33.where we're going. We believe it is important. We will not get onto the

:10:34. > :10:38.international stage by sitthng on our bottoms. We have to go for this

:10:39. > :10:41.fantastic opportunity. A blackmail gang from South

:10:42. > :10:44.Yorkshire who threatened people with extreme violence ` including

:10:45. > :10:47.castration and rape ` have been sentenced to a total of 27 xears in

:10:48. > :10:50.prison. The group targeted small businesses. They bullied thdm into

:10:51. > :10:53.carrying out unnecessary ro`d surfacing work ` then demanded cash,

:10:54. > :10:58.as Stuart Whincup reports. This is Terence Cunningham senior who led

:10:59. > :11:05.the Doncaster gang. Here he is counting a large bundle of notes. He

:11:06. > :11:08.is topping up his phone. As he heads off in his white Mercedes, he calls

:11:09. > :11:28.his victims, threatening to castrate them if they do not pay up.

:11:29. > :11:35.This wasn't the only threat. Businesses were told if thex didn't

:11:36. > :11:40.pay up they could expect another Dale Farm, a reference to the UK's

:11:41. > :11:43.largest illegal traveller shte. One victim was so terrified she handed

:11:44. > :11:49.over ?19,000 for a couple of hours work just so that the threats would

:11:50. > :11:55.stop. Another victim feared for the safety of his family. I was

:11:56. > :11:58.terrified and felt really scared. They said they were watching my

:11:59. > :12:02.children. They kept calling and swearing and being abusive. They

:12:03. > :12:07.said they were going to castrate me. Every time the phone went I felt

:12:08. > :12:14.scared. Terence Cunningham senior was helped by another man, William

:12:15. > :12:16.Adams. They made the first `pproach to businesses while the othdr gang

:12:17. > :12:22.members carried out the work. Every time they used the same tactic. They

:12:23. > :12:25.found places where the local council were already carrying out work and

:12:26. > :12:31.they'd go to small businessds and say they were doing the work and had

:12:32. > :12:34.extra tarmac. They would offer to resurface drives and fill in

:12:35. > :12:39.potholes. Even if people sahd no, they would carry out the work

:12:40. > :12:49.anyway. Then the demands and threats would start. They made hundreds of

:12:50. > :13:00.phone calls. They falsely claimed they were the former bare knuckled

:13:01. > :13:06.boxer ` Paddy Doherty. The king of the gypsies. Basically, it destroyed

:13:07. > :13:09.lives for the time this was going on. They could not get on whth their

:13:10. > :13:12.normal businesses. Businessds had to be closed. Particularly sinhsterly,

:13:13. > :13:17.when the police were called to the office, the offenders threatened

:13:18. > :13:22.police officers as well. Thd whole gang were finally filmed all

:13:23. > :13:25.together at a garage. Today Terence Cunningham senior and his son,

:13:26. > :13:27.William Adams and Darren Sqtires were sentenced to a total of 27

:13:28. > :13:45.years in prison. Before seven o'clock: Two d`ys to go

:13:46. > :13:49.till the Tandem Tour de Yorkshire in aid of Sport Relief. We look at one

:13:50. > :13:56.of the local projects that benefitted from last year's cash.

:13:57. > :14:02.And all things bright and bdautiful ` a new outdoor exhibition hs

:14:03. > :14:15.unveiled at Chatsworth Housd. Let's have some sport now ` lots of

:14:16. > :14:20.football last night, Shamir? It has been a messy few weeks that leaves

:14:21. > :14:28.United. Last night they plaxed Reading and lost 4`2. Quite a heavy

:14:29. > :14:35.defeat. They were 4`nil down with half an hour left to play. The fans

:14:36. > :14:41.were not very happy about that. They managed a couple of goals, but it is

:14:42. > :14:45.a serious situation. Nine g`mes they have N into home pictures. They

:14:46. > :14:59.haven't won a game since thd start of February. `` home fixturds. Are

:15:00. > :15:02.some fans calling for the m`nager Brian McDermott to be sacked? There

:15:03. > :15:05.is a real lack of leadership at the club right now ` the prospective

:15:06. > :15:09.owner Massimo Cellino has already loaned the club ?10 million ` and

:15:10. > :15:18.today was quoted in the Sun newspaper, saying... "It has been

:15:19. > :15:23.like a black hole and things cannot carry on like this. I have to wait

:15:24. > :15:29.for the decision of the football league before I put any mondy in. I

:15:30. > :15:37.cannot do any more until I `m the new owner. We have not heard whether

:15:38. > :15:39.he will be there new owner. Well, the football league are meeting

:15:40. > :15:43.tomorrow to discuss Cellino's application to takeover at Leeds `

:15:44. > :15:46.but it's unlikely they'll m`ke a final decision before his t`x

:15:47. > :15:50.evasion case is heard in Sardinia next Monday ` he's been acctsed of

:15:51. > :15:54.not paying import duty on a yacht. The plot thickens. Frustrathng times

:15:55. > :16:01.for fans and players alike. But it was a better night for some of our

:16:02. > :16:07.other clubs, including Donc`ster. Not all doom and gloom. Let's bring

:16:08. > :16:11.you the rest of the action from last night, which included a good win for

:16:12. > :16:13.Doncaster Rovers as they look to distance themselves from thd

:16:14. > :16:16.Championships relegation zone. Doncaster Rovers recorded another

:16:17. > :16:18.home win to move a little ftrther away from the championship

:16:19. > :16:21.relegation zone. Chris Brown ?? NOSPACE 's header was cancelled out

:16:22. > :16:25.by Watford but star striker Billy Sharp was on target to cite all

:16:26. > :16:27.three points in injury time. Barnsley remain second from bottom,

:16:28. > :16:31.they were outclassed by league leaders Leicester and lost by three

:16:32. > :16:33.goals to nil. Rotherham madd it 11 games unbeaten and strengthdned

:16:34. > :16:36.their League One play`off albitions. Mark Oxley and this sweet strike

:16:37. > :16:41.from Lee Frecklington gave them a two`nil nil at Oldham. James Hanson

:16:42. > :16:44.was on target for Bradford `t Colchester and Carl Bennett burst

:16:45. > :16:55.through in the second half to give Bradford are welcome two`nil win.

:16:56. > :17:02.Chesterfield still top leagte two dispite to draw at AFC Wimbledon.

:17:03. > :17:06.They came from a goal down. York may have the referee to thank for their

:17:07. > :17:09.win at Mansfield. Ryan Bowm`n scored a controversial penalty which earned

:17:10. > :17:23.them all three points. They are now unbeaten in all seven matchds and

:17:24. > :17:29.are eyeing up a play`off spot. Both Sheffield clubs and Huddersfield are

:17:30. > :17:32.in action tonight. There will be commentary on your local radio

:17:33. > :17:36.station. Now there's just two days to go

:17:37. > :17:43.before me and Harry begin otr tandem charity challenge. From Friday we'll

:17:44. > :17:51.cycle 250 miles over eight days ` following the route of the Tour de

:17:52. > :17:57.France in Yorkshire ` on a tandem. I was told it will be a piece of

:17:58. > :18:00.cake! It's all for a great cause ` Sport Relief ` which helps people

:18:01. > :18:04.all over Yorkshire, the UK `nd abroad. We'll show you how xou can

:18:05. > :18:08.donate in a moment ` but first let's look at where some of the money

:18:09. > :18:15.goes. Heidi Tomlinson has bden to visit a project in Sheffield.

:18:16. > :18:18.You lot are the attackers. Learning to teach, unemployed Rob Baker at

:18:19. > :18:24.Sheffield United's training ground working towards a sport

:18:25. > :18:29.qualification. He hopes it will look impressive on his CV. It will help

:18:30. > :18:34.my confidence. Before I started this, I was really shy. I would not

:18:35. > :18:40.be able to do this interview. It has given me confidence. They whll look

:18:41. > :18:50.at that and say he has leaddrship skills. The Blades communitx

:18:51. > :18:56.foundation uses sport relief money to train 17 to 24`year`olds who are

:18:57. > :19:00.not in education or employmdnt. Try and think where you will put the

:19:01. > :19:06.ball. The theory is football will encourage teamwork. It is also a

:19:07. > :19:13.morale boosting alternative to the job centre. It gets you awax from

:19:14. > :19:16.normal life. You don't have to think what is going on because yot were

:19:17. > :19:23.there doing football, teachhng football. It is what I love doing.

:19:24. > :19:26.Go and see everything on thd pitch, go and get coaching to your team.

:19:27. > :19:29.Help them out rather than rtnning around like a headless chicken. The

:19:30. > :19:33.staff enjoy seeing the development of a young person from a quhet and

:19:34. > :19:36.shy individual to being quite loud and energetic and outgoing. That is

:19:37. > :19:54.something which makes the job worthwhile. A motivated grotp united

:19:55. > :20:01.by a common goal. It is great to see where th`t money

:20:02. > :20:07.goes. I came out on Friday for a training run, it was quite tough

:20:08. > :20:14.with the headwinds. I'm told the forecast is not good. Whenever Harry

:20:15. > :20:20.goes on a bike ride with soleone else, he says it is really tough. It

:20:21. > :20:24.will be great fun. If you'd like to help me and Harry raise mondy for

:20:25. > :20:43.Sport Relief this year, there are three ways to donate.

:20:44. > :21:05.Ready? Finally tonight, a ghant light bulb, a bright pink stiletto

:21:06. > :21:08.shoe and three upturned brollies might sound like the contents of

:21:09. > :21:11.lost property at Chatsworth House. In fact they are the latest

:21:12. > :21:14.sculptures to grace the gardens The house reopens this weekend for the

:21:15. > :21:18.2014 season with some new modern art which is bound to turn heads. Tom

:21:19. > :21:25.Ingall has been for a visit. Sounds like the contents of my handbag We

:21:26. > :21:33.have some new modern art whhch is bound to turn heads. Caught by the

:21:34. > :21:45.wind, or perhaps handy protdction from the shower. This is thd latest

:21:46. > :21:51.art to land in one of the most famous estates in Britain. Whose

:21:52. > :21:56.idea was it? The duke said to me he's simply doing what his `ncestors

:21:57. > :22:01.did. They collected work whdn they were the Duke and he has thd same

:22:02. > :22:05.thing. The duke and Dutch is have had Michael on their hit list for an

:22:06. > :22:14.exhibition for some time now but unusually, he was invited to make

:22:15. > :22:20.some changes inside as well. We wanted pink plinths for the

:22:21. > :22:25.sculpture which will and usd people. He curated 12 drawings from our old

:22:26. > :22:34.collection of just portraits. There is the old and the new. Of `ll the

:22:35. > :22:40.new pieces, perhaps this ond will cause the most stir, there `re more
