:00:00. > :00:00.on the BBC News Channel. I'll be back with the late news at 10pm.

:00:00. > :00:08.Now, back with the late news at 10pm.

:00:09. > :00:11.Good evening. Yorkshire's archery gold medallist Danielle Brown has

:00:12. > :00:15.said she's now accepted defeat in her bid to compete in Rio

:00:16. > :00:18.Paralympics. The 26`year`old from Steeton near Keighley won't defend

:00:19. > :00:22.her title after being told her disability doesn't impact enough on

:00:23. > :00:27.her ability to compete. Joe Inwood reports.

:00:28. > :00:31.For seven years, she's been one of the world's best disabled archers.

:00:32. > :00:34.In the London Games, Danielle Brown took gold. But then last year the

:00:35. > :00:37.International Paralympic Committee decided her condition, chronic pain

:00:38. > :00:44.syndrome, didn't affect her ability to shoot. And that she could not

:00:45. > :00:50.defend her title. I poured my heart and soul into this sport. I've

:00:51. > :00:53.worked so hard. It was just a complete shock to learn I got

:00:54. > :00:57.declassified, I'd not got funding. What am I supposed to do now? Her

:00:58. > :01:02.first course of action? Appeal. After that was rejected, she's

:01:03. > :01:06.decided to call it a day. I'm probably not going to fight it any

:01:07. > :01:10.further. I've got a really exciting future to look forward to. I have

:01:11. > :01:14.had a brilliant past, I've achieved so many things. But what I think's

:01:15. > :01:17.really disappointing is the other people who won't get the

:01:18. > :01:19.opportunities that I will because, unfortunately, invisible

:01:20. > :01:26.disabilities are the ones they seem to be targeting. The governing

:01:27. > :01:30.bodies reject that saying the rules need to be tightened. As for

:01:31. > :01:36.Danielle's future, she is turning her expert aim on helping the next

:01:37. > :01:40.generation. I've learned so much. I spent seven years being the best in

:01:41. > :01:45.the world. That's amazing. You want to help in sport. Grassroots

:01:46. > :01:50.athletes, helping them get on the podium. While her competing days may

:01:51. > :01:58.be numbered, Danielle Brown is not without targets in her sites.

:01:59. > :02:03.There's more on that story on Saturday Sportsday on BBC One

:02:04. > :02:07.tomorrow at 12:45pm. A body found in the River Ouse in

:02:08. > :02:10.York has been identified as missing soldier Tyler Pearson. The

:02:11. > :02:13.18`year`old is thought to have tried to swim across the river a fortnight

:02:14. > :02:16.ago. His family are being supported by specialist police officers and

:02:17. > :02:19.the army. A driver's been treated for serious

:02:20. > :02:23.injuries after two lorries collided on the M1 in North Derbyshire. The

:02:24. > :02:26.motorway was closed for nine hours between junction 29 and 28 following

:02:27. > :02:30.the crash. It has now full re`opened.

:02:31. > :02:33.Onto this afternoon's football. There was a good win for Sheffield

:02:34. > :02:38.Wednesday who beat Bournemouth 4`2. Huddersfield drew 1`1 with Brighton.

:02:39. > :02:41.Doncaster are in action tonight. Rotherham's slim hopes of automatic

:02:42. > :02:46.promotion from League One are over after their 6`4 defeat at Wolves.

:02:47. > :02:50.Bradford and Sheffield United play this evening.

:02:51. > :02:54.In League Two, Chesterfield drew 1`1 with Exeter. And York City's playoff

:02:55. > :02:57.hopes were given a real boost with their 1`0 win at Oxford.

:02:58. > :03:01.We'll have the pick of the action on our late bulletin at a 10:15pm and a

:03:02. > :03:04.full round`up of the goals at tea`time tomorrow.

:03:05. > :03:08.Onto Super League. Castleford beat Wakefield 43`20.

:03:09. > :03:12.Boxing now and it's been announced that Doncaster boxer Jamie McDonnell

:03:13. > :03:18.will fight for a world title next month. It will be the biggest night

:03:19. > :03:21.of the 28`year`old's career. The fighter will face the Thai champion

:03:22. > :03:28.before the Carl Froch super`fight at Wembley Stadium on the 31st of May.

:03:29. > :03:32.A North Yorkshire farmer who was hoping for some rest after a busy

:03:33. > :03:35.lambing season has been given a real surprise with his latest arrival. A

:03:36. > :03:38.camel! Andrew Henshaw who runs Mainsgill Farm Shop near Richmond

:03:39. > :03:42.wasn't expecting the calf, because his two adult camels are both girls.

:03:43. > :03:46.Cathy Killick explains. We all know camels have a hump.

:03:47. > :03:52.Turns out this one, Doris, also had a bump. Early yesterday, this little

:03:53. > :03:55.fella was the result. It's beginning to look like a camel now. Bemused

:03:56. > :04:01.farmer, Andrew Henshaw, had no idea Doris was pregnant. Neither did his

:04:02. > :04:04.stockman, Bob Shaw. Bob comes running across the yard. I thought,

:04:05. > :04:07.crikey, he's keen for a cup of coffee this morning. Lo and behold,

:04:08. > :04:14.Doris, the camel here, she's having a baby! So, an unplanned pregnancy.

:04:15. > :04:18.Not a male on the farm. We have Doris and Delilah, sisters. And

:04:19. > :04:22.can't get over it. With no male camels for miles around, could we be

:04:23. > :04:26.looking at a miracle baby? Well, it seems not. Doris must have been

:04:27. > :04:31.pregnant when Andrew bought her over a year ago. The male calf looks fine

:04:32. > :04:35.and dandy but was given a little boost to help him through the first

:04:36. > :04:40.few hours of his life. A little bit of skin that makes it look as if he

:04:41. > :04:44.has a runny nose is actually part of the sac that they are born. It is

:04:45. > :04:48.connected to the feet and nose. All the camels are the same. And it

:04:49. > :04:52.hasn't fallen off yet. But it would hurt if we pulled it off. So it will

:04:53. > :04:56.have to come off naturally. Within hours of his birth, the new addition

:04:57. > :05:00.is rather wobbly and knock kneed, but is making good progress with a

:05:01. > :05:04.bit of help from Bob. The farm is running a competition to name the

:05:05. > :05:07.baby. And the other animals are all taking a keen interest. Even if the

:05:08. > :05:08.arrival has stolen the limelight. Spring lambs are usually the feature

:05:09. > :05:20.here. Not spring camels. It's Easter, we had to have

:05:21. > :05:24.something fluffy! Let's the Easter Weekend weather

:05:25. > :05:28.from Hannah Bayburn. It has been a glorious Good Friday,

:05:29. > :05:34.a little bit more sunshine to come, and then it stays dry and clear,

:05:35. > :05:38.which allows it to get cold. Temperatures at freezing in the Vale

:05:39. > :05:41.of York by dawn. First thing tomorrow, sunshine returns, a lovely

:05:42. > :05:50.day to come, particularly to the West. Top temperatures around 12.

:05:51. > :05:55.Just an isolated shower. A change in the weather on Easter Sunday, the

:05:56. > :05:59.risk of rainfall pushing up from the south.

:06:00. > :06:10.Enjoy this glorious evening, we will see you at 10:15pm. Goodbye.

:06:11. > :06:15.Today we have seen temperatures rising if Scotland but again

:06:16. > :06:19.tonight, with the clear skies and light wind temperatures will fall

:06:20. > :06:23.sharply, and for many of us, we are looking at a touch of frost. The

:06:24. > :06:26.satellite picture tells a story nicely. This belt of cloud is

:06:27. > :06:31.sitting in the far north-west of Scotland, we have had this cloud

:06:32. > :06:34.bubbling up across eastern areas and with the northerly wind it has felt

:06:35. > :06:37.cold in East Anglia. That cloud is going to melt away, we will get an

:06:38. > :06:40.easterly breeze picking the cloud back in again later in the night in

:06:41. > :06:44.eastern areas and we still have this cloud and rain in the far north-west

:06:45. > :06:48.of Scotland, but for most we will have clear sky, light wind, Ness are

:06:49. > :06:49.the temperatures in towns and city, spin it
