:00:13. > :00:15.Good evening from Look North. A man from North Wales has admitted

:00:16. > :00:18.posting offensive messages on Twitter following the death of

:00:19. > :00:21.school teacher Ann Maguire. She was stabbed to death exactly a week ago

:00:22. > :00:24.at Corpus Christi Catholic College in Leeds. Another man from Leeds,

:00:25. > :00:27.aged 21, has also been charged with the same offence. Michelle Lyons

:00:28. > :00:29.reports. Robert Riley, aged 42, appeared at

:00:30. > :00:31.Leeds Magistrates' Court this morning charged with sending

:00:32. > :00:34.malicious communications about murdered schoolteacher Ann Maguire,

:00:35. > :00:41.who was killed in her classroom at the Corpus Christi Catholic College

:00:42. > :00:44.last week. The messages, posted on Twitter, were sent by Riley from his

:00:45. > :00:47.hometown of Port Talbot in South Wales and were described by the

:00:48. > :00:50.prosecution today as being grossly offensive and of an indecent nature,

:00:51. > :00:57.although they weren't read out in court. Riley pleaded guilty to the

:00:58. > :01:03.offence and apologised for his behaviour and any upset he may have

:01:04. > :01:08.caused. He left court today with his head covered with his hoodie. He was

:01:09. > :01:12.given bail and told to appear before Swansea Magistrates' Court on

:01:13. > :01:15.Thursday. West Yorkshire Police say this is the second incident of

:01:16. > :01:23.malicious communication that they've had to deal with since the death of

:01:24. > :01:26.Ann Maguire last week. Meanwhile students at Corpus Christi

:01:27. > :01:29.Catholic College will release balloons and lanterns into the sky

:01:30. > :01:32.at 7:30pm tonight to mark a week since Ann Maguire died. The

:01:33. > :01:36.61`year`old had taught at the school for more than 40 years, before being

:01:37. > :01:41.attacked in a classroom last Monday. Ian White is at the school.

:01:42. > :01:44.One week on from the death of Ann Maguire and these are the scenes

:01:45. > :01:47.outside the Corpus Christi Catholic College today. Floral tributes still

:01:48. > :01:51.arriving, people coming along to see what's been written, but this way, a

:01:52. > :01:56.charity football match is under way, organised by many former pupils

:01:57. > :02:00.here. Alex, you are a former pupil. Why was this so important? I think

:02:01. > :02:04.because we were pushed out from Corpus when it all happened because

:02:05. > :02:07.they wanted to keep it secure, so we felt we had to come together as a

:02:08. > :02:11.community to support each other through this time. And it's 16 and

:02:12. > :02:14.17`year`olds who have done this. Ex`pupils started a group on

:02:15. > :02:17.Facebook but we didn't expect so much support from so many groups

:02:18. > :02:22.like adults and people with children. I think it's amazing. You

:02:23. > :02:26.must be pleased with the turnout. Mrs Maguire would be pleased,

:02:27. > :02:29.wouldn't she? I think she would have loved it because everyone's getting

:02:30. > :02:32.together and supporting one another through it and not dwelling on the

:02:33. > :02:35.situation but supporting one another and smiling and enjoying themselves,

:02:36. > :02:39.not forgetting, the main reason of this is to send off and celebrate

:02:40. > :02:48.Mrs Maguire's life, but just everyone smiling is amazing. There

:02:49. > :02:54.is a more buoyant mood this week from the sombre scenes we saw last

:02:55. > :02:58.week. More going on here tonight. Yeah, there is this game and then

:02:59. > :03:02.the girls' game and then we're setting off the balloons, so it

:03:03. > :03:06.should be good, a great day. Thank you. That's the latest for the

:03:07. > :03:09.moment from Corpus Christi. We'll have pictures of those balloons

:03:10. > :03:12.being released on our late news tonight.

:03:13. > :03:15.The Green party has become the latest to launch its campaign for

:03:16. > :03:17.the European Elections in the Yorkshire region. The party's six

:03:18. > :03:20.candidates addressed party supporters in a converted barn at an

:03:21. > :03:24.urban farm visitor centre near Huddersfield. At the last elections

:03:25. > :03:27.five years ago, the Greens narrowly missed out on taking a first seat in

:03:28. > :03:32.the European Parliament for the Yorkshire and Humber region. The

:03:33. > :03:35.Green Party is very strong in Yorkshire and Humber. It has

:03:36. > :03:39.councillors in Leeds, Bradford, York, Sheffield, Scarborough,

:03:40. > :03:42.Kirklees, where I'm a councillor. We've really built up the strength

:03:43. > :03:46.of the local parties. We've got people campaigning in the streets.

:03:47. > :03:51.We're a lot more visible than we have been in the past, so there's a

:03:52. > :03:55.real opportunity. So a decisive weekend of football

:03:56. > :03:58.has come to a close with our sides and their fans experiencing the

:03:59. > :04:00.extremes. With the story of champions, a last`minute relegation

:04:01. > :04:06.and a knockout punch in the play`offs, here's Ian Bucknell.

:04:07. > :04:09.It's a long season and there are many ups and downs. Chesterfield

:04:10. > :04:12.have had their share, refusing to do things the easy way, but on

:04:13. > :04:19.Saturday, the very last day, they became League Two champions. There's

:04:20. > :04:23.a lot of downtime in football, so you have to enjoy days like this.

:04:24. > :04:27.I've enjoyed two promotions, one when I was chairman of Sheffield

:04:28. > :04:33.Wednesday, and now here. It started a bit flat, but you couldn't have

:04:34. > :04:37.picked a better ending. Gary Roberts has been the outstanding player in

:04:38. > :04:40.the division. How fitting it was, then, that he scored the goal which

:04:41. > :04:46.defeated Fleetwood and decided the title. But for every winner there is

:04:47. > :04:49.a loser, Doncaster players distressed after their defeat at

:04:50. > :04:55.Leicester and relegation from the championship. I feel for everyone in

:04:56. > :04:59.the club, and the fans, the fans were magnificent. We got relegated

:05:00. > :05:02.in the last minute today and the standing ovation they gave the

:05:03. > :05:05.players was outstanding. FC Halifax Town fans travelled to Cambridge to

:05:06. > :05:09.see their team take a shot at promotion to the Football League,

:05:10. > :05:13.but their 1`0 lead from the first leg lasted barely ten minutes.

:05:14. > :05:17.Hesitation in the defence, and Delano Sam`Yorke pounced. He scored

:05:18. > :05:23.again before half`time and Halifax never found a way back. To see what

:05:24. > :05:27.we've done this season, it's phenomenal. We're part`time. When

:05:28. > :05:31.you can smell it and it's so close, it really is heartbreaking. To see

:05:32. > :05:34.more of the last`day drama from our Football League side, watch

:05:35. > :05:38.tonight's Late Kick Off on BBC one at 11:35.

:05:39. > :05:42.Cricket now, and Yorkshire captain Andrew Gale has made an impressive

:05:43. > :05:45.return to the side. The skipper dropped himself from the team last

:05:46. > :05:50.time out. But at Durham today, he hit a century as Yorkshire made 589

:05:51. > :05:57.before declaring. At close of play, the hosts had reached 62`1.

:05:58. > :06:02.Beautiful day for cricket on a Bank Holiday Monday. Will there be any

:06:03. > :06:08.play tomorrow? Just the odd shower. Sunny spells

:06:09. > :06:11.and feeling warm tomorrow only because we are between weather

:06:12. > :06:16.systems and Thursday and Friday looks very unsettled with heavy

:06:17. > :06:20.downpours. Tonight turns wet from the West with persistent rain in

:06:21. > :06:23.many areas, much of that clear of the coast by first thing tomorrow,

:06:24. > :06:31.lowest temperatures around nine degrees. Tomorrow, patchy rain

:06:32. > :06:36.towards the coast soon clears them a lovely day, mostly dry bread, some

:06:37. > :06:40.sunshine and just a small chance of catching an afternoon shower but

:06:41. > :06:46.most of us will stay shower with nice temperatures, with a light or

:06:47. > :06:51.moderate south`west wind. Sunny intervals and scattered showers on

:06:52. > :06:56.Wednesday, Thursday and Friday go downhill with some heavy downpours,

:06:57. > :06:58.some sunny intervals in between. Enjoy what is left of this glorious

:06:59. > :07:03.bank holiday. We are back at 20 `` Enjoy what is left of this glorious

:07:04. > :07:10.bank holiday. We are back at 20 `` bike at 10:25pm.

:07:11. > :07:14.The sunshine today for the bank holiday produced the highest

:07:15. > :07:19.temperature of the long weekend in eastern England today, at 20

:07:20. > :07:23.Celsius. But to the west, the cloud has been gathering. We have seen a

:07:24. > :07:26.bit of rain in Northern Ireland and western Scotland, but the thicker

:07:27. > :07:31.cloud now pushing into the south-west of England is delivering

:07:32. > :07:36.more rain. It will become more extensive over the next few hours. A

:07:37. > :07:41.ragged area of rainfall will move east as the night goes on. If you

:07:42. > :07:45.have yet to make your journey home from the bank holiday weekend, you

:07:46. > :07:52.may encounter sums are a. -- some spray. Temperatures are not too bad

:07:53. > :07:56.. The good news is that most of the rain has gone by the morning. Some

:07:57. > :07:57.may be lingering in
