:00:14. > :00:17.the Leeds Arena to be told they'll play a "vital" role in the Grand

:00:18. > :00:21.Depart. The helpers will be known as tour makers, and have been selected

:00:22. > :00:25.to advise and direct the millions of spectators expected to descend on

:00:26. > :00:38.Yorkshire in July. Heidi Tomlinson reports. An arena full of helpers,

:00:39. > :00:44.also known as tour makers, invited to a large get`together in Leeds to

:00:45. > :00:51.be motivated and faint. In six weeks, thousands of these volunteers

:00:52. > :00:57.will be selected for their friendliness, compassion and that is

:00:58. > :01:05.my passion and common sense. We are here to make sure everything runs as

:01:06. > :01:14.smoothly as possible. It is amazing. The atmosphere today, unbelievable.

:01:15. > :01:19.To see all this just now, imagine what it is going to be like when the

:01:20. > :01:26.tour arrives. I am French. I wanted to do the Tour de France three

:01:27. > :01:32.years. My dad cycles. Irony wanted to do it. This army of volunteers

:01:33. > :01:36.will not receive any payment or expenses, just training. But they

:01:37. > :01:41.are being told that being a tour maker is simple. Do yourselves and

:01:42. > :01:47.enjoyed. It was a message reinforced by Nicola Adams. It is a

:01:48. > :01:51.once`in`a`lifetime opportunity. The Tour de France may never come back

:01:52. > :01:56.to Yorkshire or England. Enjoy yourself and make Yorkshire pride.

:01:57. > :02:06.Tour de France organisers hope to emulate the success of the London

:02:07. > :02:12.2012 games makers. Alongside the athletes, the helpers became Olympic

:02:13. > :02:18.heroes. Over 10,000 tour makers will be in position along the route,

:02:19. > :02:21.which begins in Leeds, finishing in Harrogate. The second stage starts

:02:22. > :02:28.at York racecourse and ends in Sheffield. Eager to help, advise and

:02:29. > :02:33.direct, to makers will play a vital role during that weekend in July for

:02:34. > :02:35.the sole reward of the Grand Depart ground.

:02:36. > :02:39.The founder of a Yorkshire animal rescue sanctuary being reviewed by

:02:40. > :02:43.the Charity watchdog, has been arrested in relation to an alleged

:02:44. > :02:45.theft of "12,000 from the charity. 57`year`old Marianne Crowley, who

:02:46. > :02:49.runs Wildlife Rescue Sanctuaries in Keighley, is now on bail after being

:02:50. > :02:52.questioned earlier this month. A Look North investigation last year

:02:53. > :02:54.found that seven pence in every pound that was donated to the

:02:55. > :02:58.sanctuary, went towards charitable activities.

:02:59. > :03:04.Marianne Crowley has always denied any wrongdoing.

:03:05. > :03:08.A car has crashed into a busy supermarket in York. Witnesses say

:03:09. > :03:11.they saw the vehicle ` which was being driven by an elderly woman `

:03:12. > :03:15.reversing at speed into a glass window at the Waitrose store at Foss

:03:16. > :03:19.Island. Nobody inside the store was hurt. Police say the driver ` who

:03:20. > :03:25.was briefly trapped ` was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

:03:26. > :03:28.Onto sport, and in Super League it was a miserable afternoon for the

:03:29. > :03:32.Bradford Bulls fans who travelled to watch their team in the south of

:03:33. > :03:35.France. The Bulls managed just one try in their 46`4 defeat at Catalan

:03:36. > :03:40.Dragons, with Foster going over in the second half. A rather unusual

:03:41. > :03:43.pitch invasion gave the visiting supporters some light relief, and

:03:44. > :03:49.briefly held up a conversion attempt by the home side. The Bulls remain

:03:50. > :03:52.bottom of the table. Rotherham United are making their final

:03:53. > :03:55.preparations for tomorrow's League One play`off final. The club have

:03:56. > :03:58.sold almost 22,000 tickets for the match against Leyton Orient at

:03:59. > :04:07.Wembley. Their manager is predicting a very close game.

:04:08. > :04:12.They beat us away from home. We beat them here. Both games were end to

:04:13. > :04:16.end. Both teams play similarly. Both teams have got top players. I have

:04:17. > :04:20.got great respect for Leyton Orient. We know how tough it is going to be.

:04:21. > :04:22.We'll be live from Wembley with action and reaction on tomorrow's

:04:23. > :04:32.Look North at ten to seven. Good evening. Further showery rain

:04:33. > :04:35.to come this evening and overnight. Some of the showers will be fairly

:04:36. > :04:39.heavy at times. We could see some hail and thunder. They will die out

:04:40. > :04:45.by the early hours of tomorrow morning. Lots of cloud. Temperatures

:04:46. > :04:51.at nine or 10 degrees. First Sunday, yes, some showers. In

:04:52. > :04:55.between the showers, we should see decent spells of sunshine into the

:04:56. > :05:02.afternoon. Temperatures a little bit better. For bank holiday Monday it

:05:03. > :05:03.is looking like the best day of the weekend. Sunny spells for all of us.

:05:04. > :05:20.That's it for now. Bye`bye. The heavens opened for some of us

:05:21. > :05:21.today. As far as tomorrow is concerned, more of the
