:00:55. > :00:57.the subject of a highly critical The Ofsted report says pupils
:00:58. > :01:01.at Carlton Bolling College, which has an overwhelmingly Muslil intake,
:01:02. > :01:03.are at possible risk of extremism. The report also says some governors
:01:04. > :01:08.opposed boys and girls going The BBC has a leaked copy of the
:01:09. > :01:25.Ofsted report for Carlton Bolling. It says the school now
:01:26. > :01:27.requires special measures. "The governing body is an obstacle
:01:28. > :01:32.to, rather than a champion of, "The child protection and
:01:33. > :01:44.safeguarding policy fails to give "necessary attention to potdntial
:01:45. > :01:46.risks posed by extremism." And some "governing body melbers
:01:47. > :01:55."pushed for the narrowing of the "Geography curriculum
:01:56. > :01:57.and restricting Religious Education The report says a review is needed
:01:58. > :02:01.into governance at the school. Now it appears
:02:02. > :02:13.the governors will be sacked. Carlton Bolling is a large non`faith
:02:14. > :02:19.school in Bradford, 94% of students on Muslim. But Ofsted has criticised
:02:20. > :02:26.policies here such as afternoon closure for Friday rares and a later
:02:27. > :02:33.starting time during Ramadan. `` for two. It says this does not support
:02:34. > :02:41.the different needs of the growing minority of non`Moslem studdnts
:02:42. > :02:47.Boys were also excluded frol one school visit. One parent saxs she
:02:48. > :02:54.disagrees of what is in the report. That is wrong, they do not do it
:02:55. > :03:03.like this. They focus normally on all of them, it is not just Islam,
:03:04. > :03:09.they teach equally to all rdligions. I do not have any type of problems.
:03:10. > :03:14.The chair of governors here is Faisal Khan and earlier this year,
:03:15. > :03:26.he was among the entire govdrning body sacked at a college after Stead
:03:27. > :03:30.raised serious concerns. `` Ofsted. This is a secular school, p`id for
:03:31. > :03:35.out of public money, and it needs to ensure it is not pursuing one
:03:36. > :03:39.particular faith, that it is making young people aware of for f`iths and
:03:40. > :03:46.all cultures and preparing them to live in a tolerant and ? `` all
:03:47. > :03:47.faiths. The future of the governors of Carlton Bolling now lies in the
:03:48. > :03:55.hands of Bradford Council. Apologies for the microphond
:03:56. > :03:58.problems. Carlton Bolling is supposed to be
:03:59. > :04:01.a non`religious school Well, earlier,
:04:02. > :04:04.I spoke to the council leaddr David Green, and I asked wh`t action
:04:05. > :04:14.would now be taken. The council has received a draft
:04:15. > :04:16.report from Ofsted following concerns were raised with the
:04:17. > :04:21.Department for Education about governance. Having received that
:04:22. > :04:24.draft report which will be hn the public domain at the end of this
:04:25. > :04:29.week, we have asked for an hnterim board is to be appointed whhch will
:04:30. > :04:33.replace the governing body, and hopefully allow us to deal with some
:04:34. > :04:37.of the problems identified. One of those problems parents have been
:04:38. > :04:44.concerned about is governors wanting things like wanting only Islam
:04:45. > :04:51.studied in religious educathon, will that be completely stamped out? I
:04:52. > :04:59.need to make a point, which is that not all governors agreed with some
:05:00. > :05:02.of the activities reported. But in terms of the religious educ`tion, I
:05:03. > :05:09.firmly believe if you are going to teach religion, you need to teach
:05:10. > :05:11.all religions to make sure people understand the multicultural and
:05:12. > :05:16.multireligious society in which we live. As far as I am concerned, all
:05:17. > :05:22.schools should teach all religions. Can you give an assurance of the
:05:23. > :05:30.schools in Bradford are not in this situation with a narrow faith `based
:05:31. > :05:35.ideology? `` other schools. I can give assurances about the schools
:05:36. > :05:39.Council has control over and part of the problem in education is the
:05:40. > :05:47.fragmented nature of the of schools. We are clear that the national
:05:48. > :05:53.curriculum is being taught properly in schools under the council
:05:54. > :05:56.control. `` nature of other schools. There was a campaign to change the
:05:57. > :06:02.character and ethos of this particular school, are you
:06:03. > :06:08.convinced? I think there is always a healthy debate and I think some of
:06:09. > :06:14.the problems that are being reported are not problems but part of that
:06:15. > :06:18.healthy debate. In this casd, the governing body went a step too far
:06:19. > :06:23.in the way it was trying to have that debate and the things ht was
:06:24. > :06:28.trying to implement. We need governing wadis to hold things to
:06:29. > :06:33.account but there has to be a way of doing it to allow the professional
:06:34. > :06:41.teachers to teach to providd the best possible education and allowing
:06:42. > :06:46.governors to make sure that school is accountable for that education.
:06:47. > :06:51.`` we need governing bodies. That report is officially releasdd on

:07:00. > :07:02.On a recent holiday to Spain, Amy Wigfull climbed out of a fifth`floor
:07:03. > :07:04.She survived, but spent weeks in hospital.
:07:05. > :07:06.She didn't have any travel insurance, but thousands
:07:07. > :07:09.of pounds was paid by anonylous well`wishers to get her bills paid
:07:10. > :07:13.Now back home in Mexborough, she says everyone should get insurance,
:07:14. > :07:25.A happy family snap, the st`rt of a family holiday abroad, a trip
:07:26. > :07:29.Five weeks ago, Amy Wigfull suffered multiple injuries
:07:30. > :07:35.after climbing out of a window 0 feet up while sleepwalking.
:07:36. > :07:41.I came around and my mum and dad were looking over and
:07:42. > :07:44.crying, and I remember lookhng at my arm, and then I looked bdhind to
:07:45. > :07:47.see the life`support machind and I thought, what the hell have I done?
:07:48. > :07:51.Even then, my dad was telling me what I had done, but I couldn't
:07:52. > :07:54.How I'm still alive, I just feel so lucky.
:07:55. > :07:57.And people say to me, do yot get scared now and worried `bout
:07:58. > :08:02.I just think, I can't get scared because I'm alive and I've been
:08:03. > :08:07.The fact Amy survived and is already back on her feet is not the only
:08:08. > :08:12.Thousands of pounds were rahsed by anonymous well`wishers to help
:08:13. > :08:16.her pay her medical bills and get her back to the UK.
:08:17. > :08:18.She travelled without insur`nce because she thought this was only
:08:19. > :08:26.There are so many nice people out there and I think the only way Amy
:08:27. > :08:30.can repay them is to make them aware of how important it is to gdt
:08:31. > :08:35.I would like to thank each and every one that has donated
:08:36. > :08:39.because they have made it possible for Amy to get home.

:11:03. > :11:08.safe Tory seat of Richmond hn 1 89. Today, constituents expressdd
:11:09. > :11:20.their views on his resignathon. I told my husband he was out,
:11:21. > :11:39.and I said William Hague had been I did not expect it. And whdn things
:11:40. > :11:43.come out that they are repl`cing middle aged men, a man like
:11:44. > :11:46.William, to cast him as middle`aged is ridiculous!

:14:01. > :14:07.pushed? Not at all, it is known that David Cameron actually I wotld not
:14:08. > :14:10.say backed, but he has been having discussions with him to stax on
:14:11. > :14:14.because he made it known prhvately to the Prime Minister over ` year
:14:15. > :14:20.ago that maybe his time was finished and he wanted to end it at the next
:14:21. > :14:25.general election. He is out of as the man who can convince Northerners
:14:26. > :14:29.to vote Conservative. That hs what he will do next and that is what the

:20:32. > :20:37.names. `` a number of names. They are North American and Asian
:20:38. > :20:44.representatives, I could also talk about other animals. We havd a
:20:45. > :20:50.replica hand`carved core of a dinosaur here. This dinosaur was
:20:51. > :20:56.found in 1983 in a quarry and this is one of the biggest dinos`urs in
:20:57. > :21:04.Europe. Probably about nine metres in length, quite a beast. What
:21:05. > :21:08.wondered around Yorkshire? Round Yorkshire, surprisingly, we do not
:21:09. > :21:16.have many great dinosaur bones. But we do have probably thousands of
:21:17. > :21:22.footprints and we can understand there are probably about six, seven

:21:30. > :21:33.dinosaur. `` different varidties. We can see some of them now. It is a
:21:34. > :21:42.fascinating subject and you have a book about these beasts. It has just
:21:43. > :21:49.been published on the 30th of June by a company based in Manchdster. It
:21:50. > :21:54.covers over 100 species of dinosaur which have been described in the
:21:55. > :21:58.British Isles, from fragmentary remains. So many fantastic dinosaurs
