:00:13. > :00:16.More than 150 police officers are now on the streets of

:00:17. > :00:19.South Yorkshire looking for murder suspect John Heald.

:00:20. > :00:23.Heald is wanted in connection with the killing of a landlady at a guest

:00:24. > :00:28.Police have received a number of reported sightings of him

:00:29. > :00:33.in the Wath`upon`Deane, Mexborough, Rawmarsh and Swinton areas.

:00:34. > :00:51.Well we are nearing the end of day four of this police hunt for big

:00:52. > :00:55.three`year`old John Heald. Around 150 police officers are now working

:00:56. > :01:00.on the case and some of them are armed. People living here in Wath

:01:01. > :01:04.and nearby areas are advised to keep windows and doors locked tonight as

:01:05. > :01:08.he is believed to be dangerous. In the past hour an appeal has been

:01:09. > :01:15.aired on the BBC Crimewatch programme. There is now ?5,000 for

:01:16. > :01:20.information leading to his arrest and also earlier today wanted

:01:21. > :01:23.posters were handed out on the streets of South Yorkshire by

:01:24. > :01:26.police. A joint police press conference was held this afternoon

:01:27. > :01:31.chaired by South Yorkshire and Humberside police. The main message

:01:32. > :01:37.to come from that is that anyone harbouring John Heald needs to come

:01:38. > :01:42.forward. If people are harbouring him there is a clear message to them

:01:43. > :01:49.that they need to do the right thing and give him up. We're not saying he

:01:50. > :01:54.commit further offences. We're making sure that we have additional

:01:55. > :02:01.resources in areas where he could possibly be. If people do have

:02:02. > :02:03.suspicions, some disturbances in the back gardens, it is important to

:02:04. > :02:07.telephone us. Police have also revealed more

:02:08. > :02:19.about the murder of Bay Carter We now know Bay Carter died of stab

:02:20. > :02:24.wound to the chest. She had not been in Bridlington for too long after

:02:25. > :02:29.she and her family returned to the UK from China two years ago. They

:02:30. > :02:36.understandably devastated. We also know that it is likely that John

:02:37. > :02:39.Heald was lying low in Bridlington after what has been described as a

:02:40. > :02:44.serious violent incident in South Yorkshire the week before. There

:02:45. > :02:46.have also been sightings of him although how many of those are

:02:47. > :02:51.confirmed is unclear tonight. The mother of a young woman from

:02:52. > :02:55.Leeds who died from cervical cancer at the age of 23 says she wants to

:02:56. > :02:58.know why her daughter's illness Keeley Devine died last September,

:02:59. > :03:04.leaving behind a young son. Her Mother Alexandra Dickinson

:03:05. > :03:07.says Keely repeatedly sought She wants to know

:03:08. > :03:27.if more could have been done to With this obvious zest for life but

:03:28. > :03:34.never guess that this three`year`old lost his mother to cervical cancer.

:03:35. > :03:37.She died at just 23, despite repeated visits to doctors with

:03:38. > :03:42.classic cancer symptoms, it was not diagnosed until it was too late. She

:03:43. > :03:49.became very ill, very quickly. This photograph taken just before her

:03:50. > :03:58.death in September last year. Just days before her son's third

:03:59. > :04:05.birthday. He is being raised by Keeley's mother and sister. She was

:04:06. > :04:10.screaming in pain at the hospital and blood everywhere and they said

:04:11. > :04:15.it was an infection. She was sent off with tablets and that happened

:04:16. > :04:20.three times in three or four weeks. Eventually I kicked off and said I

:04:21. > :04:26.want the registrar otherwise something has to be done because it

:04:27. > :04:29.is not normal. A solicitor has taken on the case and says a thorough

:04:30. > :04:35.investigation is needed into what went wrong. We are at the early

:04:36. > :04:42.stages and we know that she went on nine or ten occasions to both her GP

:04:43. > :04:49.and hospital. By the time she was diagnosed she had a sizeable

:04:50. > :04:52.tumour. The trust that treated Keeley offered its sincere

:04:53. > :04:55.condolences to her family and said they would urge them to get in touch

:04:56. > :05:03.if they have any concerns about the care she received. Meanwhile Alex

:05:04. > :05:07.and Shannon want to raise awareness of the symptoms of cervical cancer.

:05:08. > :05:09.They do not want to see any other child deprived of a mother by this

:05:10. > :05:14.devastating disease. Labour has accused the

:05:15. > :05:16.Liberal Democrat MP for Bradford David Ward of making

:05:17. > :05:18."vile comments" on Twitter about Mr Ward wrote on Twitter

:05:19. > :05:24."The big question is ` if I lived in #Gaza would I fire a rocket? `

:05:25. > :05:29.probably yes". A Lib Dem spokesman said David has

:05:30. > :05:31.previously overstepped the mark with repugnant language

:05:32. > :05:34.but these views are clearly vile, Police say a series of shootings

:05:35. > :05:43.in the space of two hours A 13 year`old girl suffered minor

:05:44. > :05:47.injuries after shots were fired at the door of a house in

:05:48. > :05:51.the Parson Cross estate last night. Vehicles were also shot

:05:52. > :06:01.on two other streets nearby. The Commonwealth Games start

:06:02. > :06:06.in Glasgow tomorrow, with a large contingent

:06:07. > :06:08.of athletes from Yorkshire taking The region has already claimed

:06:09. > :06:12.its first honour, with Sheffield squash star Nick Matthew chosen by

:06:13. > :06:15.his England team`mates to be their The reigning Commonwealth and World

:06:16. > :06:37.champion is delighted to have won Paul is here with the latest

:06:38. > :06:43.forecast. Tomorrow should be just about as

:06:44. > :06:46.warm. It is a great start in places but high pressure is in charge and

:06:47. > :06:54.should be with us through the rest of the week. Perhaps a bit of a

:06:55. > :06:58.change on late Sunday. But that low cloud will cover many places by Dawn

:06:59. > :07:07.with perhaps the exception of the Pennines. So a great start in places

:07:08. > :07:12.tomorrow but that low cloud will break up through the morning. Plenty

:07:13. > :07:18.of sunshine coming through and a lovely afternoon in prospect. Top

:07:19. > :07:28.temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius. And a moderate breeze.

:07:29. > :07:32.Thursday, Friday and Saturday, little change. A great start but

:07:33. > :07:36.warm and sunny into the afternoon. That is

:07:37. > :07:43.Good evening. I know some of us could do with a drop of rain for the

:07:44. > :07:48.gardens, and the hot weather doesn't suit us all, but it's within a warm

:07:49. > :07:51.one today. 20 degrees in many parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland,

:07:52. > :07:56.the warmest day of the year so far. It's been a hot one further south

:07:57. > :07:59.too. 30 degrees along the south coast of England. There's plenty

:08:00. > :08:06.more warmth to come through the rest of this week. A balmy night. Most of

:08:07. > :08:12.us dry. Low cloud and mist off the North Sea into central and eastern

:08:13. > :08:15.parts of the UK. The odd shower possible across the west of Northern

:08:16. > :08:19.Ireland, otherwise dry and humid. Temperatures in the midteens to

:08:20. > :08:26.start the day. Whoa might see the odd shower across eastern England

:08:27. > :08:32.early on. Most of us is dry. By the afternoon, we could see an isolated

:08:33. > :08:36.downpour. Further west, I must stress they will be isolated. Mauve

:08:37. > :08:39.of us will avoid them entirely. They could be heavy and slow moving as

:08:40. > :08:40.well. The vast majority
