:02:01. > :02:04.They had been out together in Sheffield city centre and committed

:02:05. > :02:07.So, they were both acting together then

:03:19. > :03:21.More on that in a moment but first he's

:03:22. > :03:27.His words were called "vile" by the Labour Party, "damaging" by the

:03:28. > :03:30.Conservatives and even his own party threatened disciplinary action.

:03:31. > :03:35.On Twitter last night, Bradford Liberal Democrat MP,

:03:36. > :03:38.David Ward, posed the question that if he lived in Gaza,

:03:39. > :03:47.In the House of Commons yesterday I condemned violence on both sides.

:03:48. > :03:54.I'm not condoning the issue, all I'm saying is we've got to

:03:55. > :03:57.understand the mindset of people who are firing the rockets out of Gaza.

:03:58. > :04:01.That qualification is aimed at the growing number of groups campaigning

:04:02. > :04:08.for peace from both sides and by this afternoon, the Liberal

:04:09. > :04:11.Democrats said the MP had also unreservedly apologised to anyone

:04:12. > :04:13.who might have mistakenly thought he was condoning rocket attacks.

:04:14. > :04:17.So he won't face disciplinary action from his party.

:04:18. > :04:22.He needs to recognise the offence this has caused.

:04:23. > :04:27.Withdraw the comments completely, delete them from Twitter.

:04:28. > :04:29.But tonight, the rocket posting, together with another appearing to

:04:30. > :04:34.support the Palestinians, were still online.

:04:35. > :04:38.In the last hour a vigil has been held in Bradford to highlight

:04:39. > :04:41.Len Tingle has been gauging reaction there.

:04:55. > :05:00.Here, there are Hindus, Muslims, Christians and there are Jews.

:05:01. > :05:02.They said they are here sending out a message.

:05:03. > :05:06.Increasingly across Yorkshire, these sort of events are taking place.

:05:07. > :05:10.This is about the sixth just this month.

:05:11. > :05:13.We are here to support the Palestinians.

:05:14. > :05:15.We are here for the children, really.

:05:16. > :05:21.Do you think this sort of protest will do the job?

:05:22. > :05:23.I think it's better than nothing, to be honest.

:05:24. > :05:25.It does do something because it's happening all around the world.

:05:26. > :05:29.I thought if everybody is going to come out, Muslims and non`Muslims

:05:30. > :05:31.come out together to show their support, I thought I would

:05:32. > :05:38.And the organisers said this will be far from the last event of its kind.

:05:39. > :05:43.They feel anger is growing and the international community is not

:05:44. > :05:45.doing enough to stop the deaths and the violence in Gaza and Israel.

:05:46. > :05:52.From here in Bradford, it's back to you in the studio.

:07:02. > :07:10.The opening ceremony has just finished.

:07:11. > :07:12.Later the action gets underway with some

:07:13. > :07:17.Paul, it was a proud night for Sheffield

:07:18. > :07:32.Absolutely. He was the flag bearer. He was one of the most prominent

:07:33. > :07:41.faces. Billions of people watching. You can see why he was chosen, for

:07:42. > :07:45.his good looks and dexterity. First day tomorrow, some of our brightest

:07:46. > :07:51.prospects go tomorrow? Ed Clancy's gold medal chance is tomorrow in the

:07:52. > :07:55.track cycling team pursuit. That include Sir Bradley Wiggins. The

:07:56. > :08:00.heats are around midday and they should get to the final against

:08:01. > :08:04.either Australia or New Zealand at around 5:30 p.m.. Easy day for the

:08:05. > :08:10.squash players. The last Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the

:08:11. > :08:22.final was between two Yorkshire lads. They have good chances. Look

:08:23. > :08:31.out the Jenny Dunn calf as well. Sophie Taylor, a real medal hope in

:08:32. > :08:41.the swimming. 50 metre/ in the morning. She is a real medal hope.

:08:42. > :08:46.Top of the bill is the triathlon and that means the Brownlee Brothers.

:08:47. > :08:49.Pretty close at the moment but he's in very good form as well.

:08:50. > :08:53.It's going to be tough, but I'll give it my best.

:08:54. > :08:56.It is the main aim of the year and in my career I can say I am

:08:57. > :08:58.an Olympic medallist, Commonwealth medallist and World

:08:59. > :09:14.Busy day view? And emotional sendoff.

:09:15. > :09:20.That's all from us, but we'll leave you with the weather.

:09:21. > :09:22.It's been another beautiful evening right across Yorkshire.

:09:23. > :09:25.Lots of sunshine to come after a grey start.

:09:26. > :09:27.Certainly the low cloud and mist is beginning to extend inland.

:09:28. > :09:32.Lowest temperatures coming in at around 13 or 14 Celsius.

:09:33. > :09:35.Thursday, off to a great start in places.

:09:36. > :09:39.Quite misty as well, but just like today the sun will break through the

:09:40. > :09:42.low cloud fairly quickly, increasing amounts of sunshine developing.

:09:43. > :09:49.Certainly becoming hot inland and we'll see highs around 26 Celsius.

:09:50. > :09:52.The further outlook on Friday and Saturday look absolutely

:09:53. > :09:57.Hint of a change on Sunday as a cold front brings cooler air

:09:58. > :10:07.I'll leave you with the summary of tomorrow's weather.

:10:08. > :10:13.from the north. The national picture comes from Philip Avery.

:10:14. > :10:23.Unusually, I can say good morning. Wednesday has been noticeable for a

:10:24. > :10:29.number of reasons. From a meteorological point of view, it was

:10:30. > :10:32.the warmest day of the year for Wales and Northern Ireland. Nothing

:10:33. > :10:35.like it across the East of Scotland, where the temperature was locked

:10:36. > :10:42.firmly into the mid-teens thanks to the presence of the low cloud and

:10:43. > :10:45.fog. It is there again as it has been, making inroads through the

:10:46. > :10:51.Clyde Valley is, to the Tyne Valley and areas east of the Pennines.

:10:52. > :10:55.Another very close night, 17, 18 or 19, something of that order. It will

:10:56. > :10:59.take some time on Thursday morning but we will see some of this low

:11:00. > :11:04.cloud creeping towards the eastern shores and into the north-east of

:11:05. > :11:07.England. Around the eastern shores of Scotland and the Northern Isles,

:11:08. > :11:11.it will stick. At the opposite end of the country, things may come

:11:12. > :11:14.together. Some moisture, breezes coming together and some heat, it

:11:15. > :11:20.could produce some violent and thundery showers. The risk of

:11:21. > :11:21.thunderstorms comes as far east as the Hampshire border. For many of

:11:22. > :11:23.you,
