:00:46. > :00:52.Wentworth Castle Gardens is now closed.

:00:53. > :00:57.Since this place opened ten years ago, some 500,000 people have

:00:58. > :01:01.But the trust that runs Wentworth Castle Gardens

:01:02. > :01:05.says its income just isn't enough to cover the running costs.

:01:06. > :01:07.Of course, without public support and public money,

:01:08. > :01:10.much of Wentworth wouldn't look this good.

:01:11. > :01:13.The Victorian conservatory was featured it on BBC Two's Restoration

:01:14. > :01:19.programme, and was resotred at a cost of ?4 million in 2013.

:01:20. > :01:23.Lottery funding and other grants paid for it, along with donations

:01:24. > :01:28.from members of the public, it will now lose access to it.

:01:29. > :01:32.If it's out of money that was given, what a place to close down.

:01:33. > :01:41.Some lovely grounds and everything, it just doesn't seem right.

:01:42. > :01:44.They just seemed to have got everything finished.

:01:45. > :01:47.It should be in its heyday now, shouldn't it?

:01:48. > :01:52.They call Wentworth the lost garden of South Yorkshire.

:01:53. > :01:55.Now, after ?20 million of restoration and ten years

:01:56. > :02:05.of visitors, it's being lost to view once more.

:02:06. > :02:08.The remains of a medieval priest who died 700 years ago today has

:02:09. > :02:10.been uncovered at the site of a 14th century

:02:11. > :02:14.Archaeologists from the University of Sheffield found the skeletal

:02:15. > :02:20.Unusually for the period, it displayed the deceased's name,

:02:21. > :02:31.Thornton Abbey, a 14th century monastery in rural Lincolnshire.

:02:32. > :02:36.For the last six years, archaeologists from the

:02:37. > :02:41.University of Sheffield have been slowly unveiling its past.

:02:42. > :02:45.Most recently, the remains of a medieval priest.

:02:46. > :02:58.It was incredible to actually find a named person.

:02:59. > :03:00.Because, as archaeologists, we find skeletal remains quite often.

:03:01. > :03:04.But to actually find someone whose name you know and the date of when

:03:05. > :03:08.they died and their position within society is very rare.

:03:09. > :03:14.Richard would have been highly regarded a medieval society,

:03:15. > :03:23.A slight dent in his skull shows he suffered a violent truama.

:03:24. > :03:27.And marks on his teeth reveal a period of stress or malnutrition.

:03:28. > :03:30.It's thought he died during the great famine.

:03:31. > :03:36.It's important, because it gives us a little snapshot of the past

:03:37. > :03:44.As archaeologists, the past is normally nameless and faceless.

:03:45. > :03:47.Here, we have a named individual, we can find out about their lives,

:03:48. > :03:54.it puts a bit of a human face on a century that's a long time ago.

:03:55. > :03:56.This find is part of a bigger project.

:03:57. > :03:59.Last year, 48 skeletons, many of them children,

:04:00. > :04:07.When the research is complete, Richard's remains will be laid

:04:08. > :04:17.to rest at a church in Barton-upon-Humber.

:04:18. > :04:20.Onto football, and in the Championship,
