:00:00. > :00:00.Good evening, you're watching the late Look North.

:00:00. > :00:00.Primary school children are told to delete a mobile

:00:00. > :00:11.phone app after a man exposes himself to them online.

:00:12. > :00:14.And, the BBC learns of eight possible locations

:00:15. > :00:25.for a parkway station on the High Speed Two rail line.

:00:26. > :00:30.It looks like tomorrow will be the coldest day of the winter season so

:00:31. > :00:33.far. Join me for the live updated forecast.

:00:34. > :00:36.But first tonight, a special report from inside an anti-fracking

:00:37. > :00:40.A small group of protestors moved in just before Christmas,

:00:41. > :00:44.and now a growing number of people are calling a field at the edge

:00:45. > :00:49.The area is one of two sites in Britain, where the controversial

:00:50. > :00:52.process of extracting shale gas has been given the go ahead.

:00:53. > :00:55.Our business correspondent Danni Hewson reports on her night

:00:56. > :01:04.at the so-called front line in the fight against fracking.

:01:05. > :01:07.What is quickly apparent is the support this camp is receiving

:01:08. > :01:12.Donations of logs, food, water and many willing hands.

:01:13. > :01:14.It has become something of a hub and draws in visitors

:01:15. > :01:20.Some local campaigners had resisted the arrival of a camp,

:01:21. > :01:24.but others feel this was always the next step.

:01:25. > :01:27.We still want to go back to court and win on environmental grounds,

:01:28. > :01:30.but while this is here, people want to show...

:01:31. > :01:33.It's the only way to say no politely, respectfully.

:01:34. > :01:41.But it has only been a month, and those on site are preparing

:01:42. > :01:48.Wi-Fi, 3G, sturdy structures are going up, and of course

:01:49. > :01:54.The self proclaimed protectors are trespassing.

:01:55. > :01:58.This site belongs to the owners of nearby Flamingo Land.

:01:59. > :02:00.It is not ideal, but that is the nature

:02:01. > :02:06.The amount of common land is very limited,

:02:07. > :02:09.particularly in this area, and the amount of unused land

:02:10. > :02:16.We do have a Plan B, but I can assure you that would have

:02:17. > :02:18.greater implications on the local community than us being here.

:02:19. > :02:21.He says they have begun a dialogue with the landowner,

:02:22. > :02:24.but their presence on private land is a source of tension locally.

:02:25. > :02:28.As night falls, another issue emerges.

:02:29. > :02:31.With the visitors gone, most of those at the camp

:02:32. > :02:35.are from out of the area, many veterans from other protests.

:02:36. > :02:44.As we sat by the fire, I asked him what he hoped to achieve.

:02:45. > :02:46.Wherever that has been a protection camp there has been success.

:02:47. > :02:49.We have got optimism, we believe we will be successful.

:02:50. > :02:52.We would not camp in this field through winter

:02:53. > :03:01.Within months, this could be the first place to be

:03:02. > :03:04.hydraulically fractured since the moratorium was ended.

:03:05. > :03:07.Legally, the company that has invested time and money in this site

:03:08. > :03:09.now have the green light, and they have no truck

:03:10. > :03:14.I have sympathy with anyone who has a genuine concern

:03:15. > :03:17.about what it is we are going to do, but what they should

:03:18. > :03:21.As so many of the locals in the area have.

:03:22. > :03:23.After they have been to see us, and we have explained

:03:24. > :03:27.what it is we are going to do, 99% of them leave happy and assured

:03:28. > :03:30.that what we are going to do is going to be done safely.

:03:31. > :03:35.But such is the concern of those at the camp they are willing

:03:36. > :03:41.to endure inhospitable conditions to wage their battle.

:03:42. > :03:48.After this, it will go everywhere, so we have got to stop it here.

:03:49. > :03:58.The next few months will tell the story.

:03:59. > :04:01.Parents across Leeds have been warned about a mobile phone app

:04:02. > :04:04.after a man exposed himself to a group of primary

:04:05. > :04:10.Lively allows users to broadcast video from their phone

:04:11. > :04:15.But parents have been told it can provide opportunities

:04:16. > :04:19.for children to be groomed, as Emma Glasbey reports.

:04:20. > :04:25.It is the latest app designed for teenagers.

:04:26. > :04:27.Live-ly is being used by young people to live stream group

:04:28. > :04:33.But now there has been an incident in Leeds highlighting

:04:34. > :04:39.Some primary school children were using Live-ly on Monday night.

:04:40. > :04:42.A man they didn't know joined in the chat.

:04:43. > :04:45.He went on to expose himself and performed a sex act.

:04:46. > :04:47.The next day, the school sent a letter to parents,

:04:48. > :05:18.There seems to be a bit of a deficit in parents' knowledge of what can

:05:19. > :05:21.actually happen online, and at the moment it seems that this

:05:22. > :05:25.deficit is what is being exploited by people who want to exploit it.

:05:26. > :05:28.West Yorkshire Police now have specialist detectives

:05:29. > :05:40.investigating the case, and hunting for the man involved.

:05:41. > :05:53.Well, the concern with live streaming as we have seen here is

:05:54. > :05:57.that children don't always know who they are streaming to, and they can

:05:58. > :06:00.be exposed to inappropriate content. Carrots are being told they need to

:06:01. > :06:06.be more aware of exactly what young people are doing on social media --

:06:07. > :06:08.parents. We know that many parents of preschool children across Leeds

:06:09. > :06:14.received a message today saying that apps like Live-ly are not safe for

:06:15. > :06:18.young children. There is a significant risk of inappropriate

:06:19. > :06:23.contact. Herod are being advised to make sure that children do not have

:06:24. > :06:27.access to these apps -- parents. They must also switch on privacy

:06:28. > :06:32.settings so children are protected when they are on any Internet site.

:06:33. > :06:38.Five men have been found guilty of the sexual abuse of two girls

:06:39. > :06:41.Matloob Hussain, Mohammed Sadiq and brothers

:06:42. > :06:43.Basharat, Nasser and Tayab Dad, were convicted after a trial

:06:44. > :06:46.Amjad Ali pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.

:06:47. > :06:48.The offences date back to the late 1990s.

:06:49. > :06:52.Yorkshire Building Society Group is to close four branches

:06:53. > :06:54.in our region as part of a company-wide restructuring

:06:55. > :06:57.plan.YBS sites in Farsley, Mirfield, Waterloo near Huddersfield and Wyke

:06:58. > :06:59.will close in May, putting 20 jobs at risk.

:07:00. > :07:01.Nationally, 44 other branches will close, putting nearly 10%

:07:02. > :07:04.The company says it hopes to minimise redundancies as it

:07:05. > :07:09.focuses more on its mortgages and savings businesses.

:07:10. > :07:12.The BBC has learned of eight possible locations

:07:13. > :07:15.for a parkway station on the High Speed Two rail line.

:07:16. > :07:18.In South Yorkshire they would be Wales, Bramley, Hooton Roberts,

:07:19. > :07:21.Mexborough, Hickleton and Clayton, along with Hemsworth

:07:22. > :07:26.Tom Ingall's been talking to those living at one

:07:27. > :07:34.The new HS2 line is expected to cross it just ahead of the bridge

:07:35. > :07:40.That's why a parkway station might be built here,

:07:41. > :07:44.just a few hundred meters from the village of Clayton

:07:45. > :07:49.People bought these houses in a remote location

:07:50. > :07:52.and they have bought them because they want to live in

:07:53. > :07:56.They want to live in the countryside, they don't

:07:57. > :07:59.want to live beside a 1700 space car park and a train station.

:08:00. > :08:02.What if it promoted economic regeneration in the air?

:08:03. > :08:14.As long as it means people aren't losing their homes to put up

:08:15. > :08:17.Clayton is one of eight sites being considered

:08:18. > :08:20.to serve South Yorkshire, to supplement the proposed Sheffield

:08:21. > :08:28.One of the drivers behind the parkway is to be able to spread

:08:29. > :08:32.the benefits of HS2 as widely as possible across Yorkshire,

:08:33. > :08:35.and to make sure as many people as possible have access to it.

:08:36. > :08:40.This is going to be a very big year for HS2.

:08:41. > :08:44.First of all, they should finally pin down their route options

:08:45. > :08:47.for this part of the world, and doubtless there will be a nip

:08:48. > :08:52.Secondly, and more importantly, within a few months they are likely

:08:53. > :08:56.to stick shovels on the ground to build the first part of the line

:08:57. > :09:01.For people who like or dislike the idea of a parkway

:09:02. > :09:04.station near their village, everything is still to play for.

:09:05. > :09:06.It might be quiet today, but in 20 years' time,

:09:07. > :09:13.this part of the world could look very different indeed.

:09:14. > :09:17.Football, and there's one result for you.

:09:18. > :09:20.Chris Wood's 20th goal of the season helped Leeds United to victory

:09:21. > :09:28.The result takes them up to third in the Championship.

:09:29. > :09:35.Time now for the weather forecast. Tomorrow will be the coldest day of

:09:36. > :09:40.the winter season so far. Let's have a look at the headline then. Raw,

:09:41. > :09:44.bitterly cold, a significant wind-chill. The air is being drawn

:09:45. > :09:47.up from France and Holland, but eventually as we move into the

:09:48. > :09:52.weekend, the Atlantic pushes through. Sunday looks nice with a

:09:53. > :09:57.ridge of high pressure, and next week are increasingly we will see

:09:58. > :10:01.milder and wetter south-westerly air coming in right across Yorkshire and

:10:02. > :10:05.the North Midlands. We are beginning to see low cloud pushing up from the

:10:06. > :10:10.south-east. That cloud thick enough for a bit of drizzle, if fuel light

:10:11. > :10:17.snow flurries, frost and eyes to with temperatures down to minus two

:10:18. > :10:21.Celsius. So a really cold, raw day tomorrow. Overcast skies, some mist

:10:22. > :10:27.and fog, probably just for the tops of the hills. Any brightness at a

:10:28. > :10:32.premium. A significant wind-chill with a fresh south-easterly wind.

:10:33. > :10:38.One Celsius the top temperature in Leeds, but elsewhere really

:10:39. > :10:44.struggling at around freezing. As the head through Thursday evening,

:10:45. > :10:49.more of the same. Overcast skies. Patchy light sleet and snow for a

:10:50. > :10:53.time as we head to the early hours of Friday morning. That will leave

:10:54. > :10:57.ice and frost. Another dull, damp and whole day on Friday at the

:10:58. > :11:00.weekend looks milder. I will leave you with the summary of

:11:01. > :11:00.tomorrow's weather. take a look at the Outlook towards

:11:01. > :11:12.the weekend. Good evening. If you think it was

:11:13. > :11:15.cold today, for many it will be colder still tomorrow. Cold even

:11:16. > :11:19.when we have the sunshine today. This was one of the wonderful

:11:20. > :11:23.weather watcher pictures we had sent in from Cornwall. It contrasts with

:11:24. > :11:28.a cloudy and foggy eastern half of the country, and a bank of cloud.

:11:29. > :11:32.Still foggy, but it is starting to lift. It is being pushed north and

:11:33. > :11:36.west, this bank of cloud. That will continue through the night. We will

:11:37. > :11:41.still have some fog sitting on the hills. Even with the cloud, it will

:11:42. > :11:45.be a cold night, with temperatures away from the far north and west

:11:46. > :11:49.falling to freezing. In the countryside, well below freezing.

:11:50. > :11:53.And on the wind and it will feel better, it already feels better.

:11:54. > :11:58.Giving us some freezing drizzle and snow as well. Although the fog will

:11:59. > :11:59.not be as extensive as recent nights, it will still be
