:00:56. > :00:58.as our business correspondent Danni Hewson explains.

:01:05. > :01:07.The lyrics to say one thing, but Yorkshire band the Rozzers used
:01:08. > :01:08.a traditional envelope to send their message
:01:09. > :01:11.to the Ritz Hotel in London - as well as a tongue-in-cheek invoice
:01:12. > :01:15.for lost earnings, the Police tribute band wondered if it
:01:16. > :01:21.The general public keep confusing the police, law enforcers,
:01:22. > :01:24.with the Police, '80s punk and reggae band,
:01:25. > :01:27.and it's having a detrimental affect on our brand.
:01:28. > :01:30.The letter has become a social media hit, but, all joking aside,
:01:31. > :01:33.the band is one of many left out of pocket.
:01:34. > :01:37.They had been due to perform at the Brighouse Ritz next month,
:01:38. > :01:39.but a threat of legal action by the London hotel has forced
:01:40. > :01:44.It just struck us as being farcical, really.
:01:45. > :01:48.There's probably about 300 miles between the two venues,
:01:49. > :01:52.and I can't believe anybody has ever mistaken a ballroom in west
:01:53. > :01:58.Yorkshire for one of the most famous hotels in the world in London.
:01:59. > :02:02.But that was what prompted us to write the letter,
:02:03. > :02:09.It's been the Ritz for 80 years, so the new owners, who never
:02:10. > :02:13.expected a row over the name, could potentially call time.
:02:14. > :02:16.As we know, there's lots of Ritzes all over the UK,
:02:17. > :02:20.whether it's cinemas, cafes, ballrooms as in Brighouse,
:02:21. > :02:25.so I am a little bit perturbed, and I can't quite understand why
:02:26. > :02:27.they would want to attack the Ritz in Brighouse.
:02:28. > :02:31.But we have asked the owners to supply us with the documents
:02:32. > :02:33.they have been provided from the Ritz,
:02:34. > :02:38.and I am happy to speak to them direct here in London.
:02:39. > :02:40.From the roadside it looks like it's all over.
:02:41. > :02:43.The sign is down and the venue has stopped trading,
:02:44. > :02:45.but, behind the scenes, the owners say they are
:02:46. > :02:51.Though they did not want to speak on camera today, they did tell me
:02:52. > :02:55.they haven't given up the fight just yet.
:02:56. > :02:58.It may seem like a David and Goliath battle, but one legal expert says
:02:59. > :03:03.People are really terrified about legal costs.
:03:04. > :03:08.They are worried that they are going to lose the roof over their head
:03:09. > :03:10.by paying lawyers to defend them in court, and so sometimes
:03:11. > :03:13.they will just roll over, even when there is
:03:14. > :03:16.a pretty lousy case advanced against them.
:03:17. > :03:19.The other Ritz has so far declined to comment on the situation,
:03:20. > :03:22.but thousands of people have signed a petition to save
:03:23. > :03:30.It's ten years since 75-year-old Bill Hendry was killed
:03:31. > :03:36.by a hit-and-run driver while he was out walking his dog.
:03:37. > :03:38.Despite an extensive investigation, the person responsible
:03:39. > :03:44.Today, Bill's family said they hoped his killer would finally
:03:45. > :03:49.have the courage to come forward, as Emma Glasbey reports.
:03:50. > :03:53.They could never have imagined they would still be trying to get
:03:54. > :03:56.justice ten years on, but today the family
:03:57. > :03:59.of Bill Hendry returned to the spot where he was knocked down and killed
:04:00. > :04:05.The driver didn't stop and left him in the road.
:04:06. > :04:11.We are not seeking revenge or anything like that,
:04:12. > :04:16.we just want a bit of justice, and somebody to have the courage to
:04:17. > :04:20.either say, I know who's done it, or the person who's done it.
:04:21. > :04:23.I have lived in Knaresborough since 1968,
:04:24. > :04:26.and I walk around knowing that somebody's done it,
:04:27. > :04:35.Bill's beloved dog Abby ran home after he was hit and was found
:04:36. > :04:38.waiting on the doorstep of their house.
:04:39. > :04:41.Bill died in hospital a short time later.

:04:46. > :04:49.Police admit there are no new lines of investigation, so this morning
:04:50. > :04:54.officers were stopping motorists to try to get fresh information.
:04:55. > :04:57.Bill Hendry had just been to the post office.
:04:58. > :05:01.He was crossing Stockwell Lane here with his dog Abby when he was hit.
:05:02. > :05:04.Now, it was just after 9.30am in the morning.
:05:05. > :05:09.But, although people nearby told police they heard
:05:10. > :05:13.the collision, no-one saw the vehicle involved.
:05:14. > :05:16.Does the family have confidence that you will get
:05:17. > :05:25.If they hadn't had the courage then, will they have the courage now?
:05:26. > :05:33.knows who's done it to do the decent thing.
:05:34. > :05:36.Police say the person who hit Bill Hendry was
:05:37. > :05:40.driving a car or small van, and was travelling at speed.
:05:41. > :05:43.They will have known exactly what happened and the vehicle
:05:44. > :05:49.Detectives believe this is their last chance to catch them.
