:00:38. > :00:40.in North Yorkshire has heard that one of those who died was emaciated
:00:41. > :00:45.Albert Pooley died last year at Sowerby House -
:00:46. > :00:50.a care home in Thirsk that's been at the centre of recent controversy.
:00:51. > :00:53.At today's inquest, his family said, prior to his death, they'd
:00:54. > :00:56.raised concerns with staff about his level of care.
:00:57. > :01:02.The inquest heard evidence today from Albert Pooley's wife, Kathleen,
:01:03. > :01:07.who said that she'd raised concerns with staff here about the levels
:01:08. > :01:12.Mrs Pooley, seen here in the dark jacket arriving
:01:13. > :01:14.at the inquest this morning, said she feared he wasn't
:01:15. > :01:18.being fed properly and wasn't being given enough to drink.
:01:19. > :01:23.She was also concerned about him being bathed and showered.
:01:24. > :01:25.We've also heard evidence from Christina Parsons,
:01:26. > :01:28.a nurse who did one shift here at the home in
:01:29. > :01:34.She described how residents were left to sit in urine
:01:35. > :01:37.and how one man was left to have his breakfast with hundreds
:01:38. > :01:49.I was trying to address the problems so that others could deal with it.
:01:50. > :01:52.I spoke to the nurse that I was working alongside,
:01:53. > :01:56.I spoke to the manager, but nothing was getting done
:01:57. > :02:01.The home has been the focus of controversial
:02:02. > :02:09.In 2015, the death of one resident here sparked a murder investigation.
:02:10. > :02:13.Then, last year, the quality of care was strongly criticised in a report
:02:14. > :02:18.Since then, Archwood, who own the home, say mistakes have
:02:19. > :02:21.been corrected and that a new management team
:02:22. > :02:26.We did hear today, though, from Joanne King,
:02:27. > :02:31.She admitted that there were deficiencies in record-keeping
:02:32. > :02:36.here because staff at the time didn't recognise its importance.
:02:37. > :02:40.She was then asked by the coroner, did you have proper control?
:02:41. > :02:44.To that she replied, I think I tried my very best.
:02:45. > :02:53.A teenager has been stabbed close to a school in Huddersfield.

:04:40. > :04:50.Three o'clock in the afternoon and Harry Appleton is still asleep.
:04:51. > :04:54.He went to bed at 10 o'clock last night but can't be roused.
:04:55. > :05:02.Whatever his condition is, it first appeared almost two years ago.
:05:03. > :05:04.We thought it was something like a virus.
:05:05. > :05:07.However, it continued on for six or seven weeks.
:05:08. > :05:10.Then, all of a sudden, he just sort of sprung out
:05:11. > :05:13.of that bout of it but, since then, it's continued on.
:05:14. > :05:16.We've had three more episodes and, this time, it is getting
:05:17. > :05:32.After 18 hours of sleep, Harry has no memory of his family
:05:33. > :05:35.trying to wake him and, of course, it's another
:05:36. > :05:41.It's weird because you're missing out most of your day so...
:05:42. > :05:44.I want to see my friends again and everything but,
:05:45. > :05:50.I have to wait until the weekend to be able to see them and that
:05:51. > :06:03.Our Inside Out programme featured a similar story.
:06:04. > :06:06.Another young teenager, Mitch Baldwin, from Sheffield began
:06:07. > :06:11.to fall into deep sleeps - in his case, lasting days.
:06:12. > :06:19.When he woke, he would be irritable or disorientated.
:06:20. > :06:22.He was eventually diagnosed with Kleine?Levin syndrome -
:06:23. > :06:30.Some people recover between bouts only to lapse again.
:06:31. > :06:34.Harry has two sisters and the whole family routine can be disrupted
:06:35. > :06:39.Despite visits to the GP and a stay in hospital,
:06:40. > :06:43.whatever causes Harry to sleep hasn't been diagnosed.
:06:44. > :06:46.If we can find out what it is, we can then actually get Harry
:06:47. > :06:51.Whether there's something we can do about it or not,
