:00:22. > :00:25.The next choice, the Very Reverend Dr Pete Wilcox,

:00:26. > :00:36.Today, the diocese of Sheffield unveiled their new, new bishop,

:00:37. > :00:43.He's coming across from Liverpool and he's got a pretty big job to do.

:00:44. > :00:46.These are unusual circumstances, and not circumstances

:00:47. > :00:52.Clearly, the events which have led up to today don't reflect

:00:53. > :00:57.It's been a tough few months for the Church here -

:00:58. > :00:59.a new bishop was announced in January.

:01:00. > :01:02.Philip North was the first choice for the job -

:01:03. > :01:05.the problem was he thinks women shouldn't be priests,

:01:06. > :01:08.and it seemed most of Sheffield disagreed.

:01:09. > :01:10.There were protests, and last month he decided

:01:11. > :01:16.the top job at Sheffield Cathedral wasn't for him.

:01:17. > :01:19.So, onto the second choice, the Very Reverend Pete Wilcox,

:01:20. > :01:22.and the answer to everyone's first question.

:01:23. > :01:24.How do you feel about female bishops?

:01:25. > :01:29.and I am also looking forward very much to ordaining both

:01:30. > :01:33.women and men as priests in this diocese.

:01:34. > :01:38.but what about the damage the whole process has done to the Church?

:01:39. > :01:42.There will now be an inquiry to work out how we got to this point.

:01:43. > :01:47.I think what's been really interesting is that, as a diocese,

:01:48. > :01:52.There is a sense of unity and purpose as we look at our vision

:01:53. > :01:56.but we can't deny the fact there has been a lot of hurt

:01:57. > :02:02.The new bishop of Sheffield will be consecrated this summer in York.

:02:03. > :02:04.After the false start, the diocese will have been

:04:42. > :04:44.but he's never trained the winner of the most famous race of all,
