:03:41. > :03:49.We often hear that Brexit will affect the way we vote.

:03:50. > :03:53.And that's a big challenge for Labour here in Yorkshire.

:03:54. > :03:57.They have 32 MPs in our region, lots in South Yorkshire and nearly

:03:58. > :04:03.But in last year's EU referendum, almost all of them voted Remain,

:04:04. > :04:07.whilst in 27 constituencies, voters opted to leave.

:04:08. > :04:10.So how will this affect voting patterns now?

:04:11. > :04:14.Emma Glasbey reports from Stainforth, near Doncaster.

:04:15. > :04:18.At 9am, gym work-out for Aidan and Cliff.

:04:19. > :04:23.All is quiet until you mention Theresa May.

:04:27. > :04:31.There may be a low voter turnout in the Doncaster North constituency,

:04:32. > :04:34.but there is certainly a passion for politics here.

:04:35. > :04:41.But this is the first time you are going to vote Conservative?

:04:42. > :04:45.It is, purely because it has been a forced election.

:04:46. > :04:48.She has made promises and she has not had a chance to carry them out,

:04:49. > :04:52.so she is coming back to the people to put her back in to give

:04:53. > :04:54.her a stronger majority to get a good deal for us.

:04:55. > :04:57.So you are voting Conservative for the first time to get

:04:58. > :05:08.There are food banks opening up all over and there is no way this

:05:09. > :05:11.government is going to want to help us at all so we need them out.

:05:12. > :05:15.A former mining community, Labour have always been the winners here.

:05:16. > :05:18.But Doncaster saw the biggest vote to leave the European Union

:05:19. > :05:26.Many people in Stainforth are adamant Brexit must be a success.

:05:27. > :05:31.In the local boutique, Guy and Joanna are also talking politics.

:05:32. > :05:50.I think it would be a shame, it's like a building contractor

:05:51. > :05:53.and then they pull out and someone else comes in.

:05:54. > :06:00.I voted Labour all my life, I'm leaning towards Ukip.

:06:01. > :06:02.The local MP, former Labour leader Ed Miliband,

:06:03. > :06:06.campaigned to remain in the European Union.

:06:07. > :06:10.But almost everyone I spoke to in Stainforth voted to leave.

:06:11. > :06:21.I'd just recently moved up, but even I voted Leave.

:06:22. > :06:24.Everyone I spoke to, they voted Leave.

:06:25. > :06:31.At the heart of the community here is the library,

:06:32. > :06:35.run by a charity with a shop and a job club.

:06:36. > :06:37.Are you going to vote, do you always vote?

:06:38. > :06:42.I'm one of these people that don't really understand it,

:06:43. > :06:52.I've never, ever seen one since I've been here.

:06:53. > :07:02.But I do think they need to come out and see and meet the real people.

:07:03. > :07:06.This community turned out to vote on Europe,

:07:07. > :07:10.but will those voters head back to the polls for this election?

:07:11. > :07:12.If any politicians do decide to visit this town,

:07:13. > :07:16.there are plenty of people who would like to talk.

:07:17. > :07:20.Emma Glasbey, BBC Look North, Stainforth.

:07:21. > :07:23.Labour has been unveiling its strategy for Brexit today.

:07:24. > :07:29.Our political reporter James Vincent is here.

:07:30. > :07:38.people? Are Labour going to convince people? Are Labour going to convince

:07:39. > :07:42.people in Stainforth? Stainforth is exactly the type of place where they

:07:43. > :07:47.need to convince them because it is a Labour heartland. It is a place

:07:48. > :07:52.where people were the strongest to leave the EU. They have been

:07:53. > :07:55.unveiling this exit strategy today. They accept that there will be an

:07:56. > :08:05.end to freedom of movement but there has been clarification. That does

:08:06. > :08:09.not mean no movement, they mean managed movement, people with a

:08:10. > :08:14.concrete job offer can come to this country. And any new laws under the

:08:15. > :08:17.Labour government might have a regional dimension. A quota for the

:08:18. > :08:23.amount of foreigners that might be coming to Yorkshire? A balancing act

:08:24. > :08:29.for Labour, because the love clear blue water on either side. If you

:08:30. > :08:34.are the Lib Dems, your message is clear, you like the E. If you are

:08:35. > :08:41.the Conservatives or you skip, then you want to get out -- or Ukip you

:08:42. > :08:48.want to get out. There are many people who voted Labour but also

:08:49. > :08:52.voted to leave or to remain. That is the challenge as we get closer to

:08:53. > :08:56.the election, they will be under scrutiny as to exactly what they are

:08:57. > :08:58.saying about Brexit and their policies.

:08:59. > :09:01.Football, now and Huddersfield Town have secured a playoff place tonight

:09:02. > :09:03.in their push for promotion to the Premier League.

:09:04. > :09:05.The Terriers won 1-0 away at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

:09:06. > :09:07.Izzy Brown got the all-important goal in the 31st minute.

:09:08. > :09:11.It takes them up to third in the table.

:09:12. > :09:14.In rugby league, the draw has been made for the sixth

:09:15. > :09:18.Leeds Rhinostake on the lowest-ranked

:09:19. > :09:20.team in the competition, Barrow Raiders.

:09:21. > :09:22.And there's a big game for Castleford Tigers -

:09:23. > :09:32.The matches will be played on the weekend of May 13th and 14th.

:09:33. > :09:38.I hope the weather improves somewhat from what it has been today!

:09:39. > :09:46.It has been all over the place and much more of the same tomorrow. Look

:09:47. > :09:51.at the huge hailstones in this photo. We could see wintry showers

:09:52. > :09:55.in the forecast tomorrow. That's take a quick look at the pressure

:09:56. > :09:59.chart and hour winds of funnelling on from the North pulling in Arctic

:10:00. > :10:05.air. But this ridge of high pressure will come in just in time for the

:10:06. > :10:09.weekend. So the weekend is looking largely settled. This evening, some

:10:10. > :10:17.showers, but they will start to be confined to the east Coast. Some

:10:18. > :10:24.rain will fall asleep and snow but to the West, a clearer picture. Ice

:10:25. > :10:31.on untreated surfaces as well. A chilly start of the day but a bright

:10:32. > :10:37.start. On the East Coast, it will be cloudy and we will see the showers

:10:38. > :10:48.on and off during the day. They will start to ease during the afternoon.

:10:49. > :10:56.30 degrees is the seasonal average. -- 13 degrees. A quick look at the

:10:57. > :11:00.outlook, some cloud and rain on Thursday that his touch milder.

:11:01. > :11:02.Temperatures getting back to near normal in time for the weekend.

:11:03. > :11:14.That's it from the late team. Here Good evening. Another cold night

:11:15. > :11:15.lies ahead after what was a chilly day
