:00:00. > :00:13.There's little to show from the push to build a so-called

:00:14. > :00:16.Northern Powerhouse, according to one West

:00:17. > :00:20.The President of Bradford's Chamber of Commerce says the plans need

:00:21. > :00:22.But the Northern Powerhouse minister has defended

:00:23. > :00:43.Best boxing gym here, people are used to fighting their coroner. Out

:00:44. > :00:49.in the tone it has been a bruising 12 months for the local economy. For

:00:50. > :00:53.more than three years the government has been talking about giving the

:00:54. > :01:00.economy more punch by setting up something called a northern

:01:01. > :01:07.powerhouse. For parents and boxers here it is an idea yet to hit home.

:01:08. > :01:12.If I said the words to you, northern powerhouse, what does that mean? It

:01:13. > :01:20.is a term I've never heard until tonight. If I said it was a big push

:01:21. > :01:25.by the government to boost the economies of the North... As I say,

:01:26. > :01:29.never seen any finances coming in never seen any finances coming in

:01:30. > :01:37.this direction. People have been hit by a series of body blows. The power

:01:38. > :01:46.station has gone, as has the colliery. The local pool is days

:01:47. > :01:51.away from closing. Unemployment is at record low levels we've got

:01:52. > :01:54.massive amounts of investment, so it is having an impact but people do

:01:55. > :01:59.not need to be awfully with the strategy. To business leaders feel

:02:00. > :02:09.brighter about the plan to help hard-hit areas by building and

:02:10. > :02:16.linking economies. If you get the rail system working better and get

:02:17. > :02:21.collectivity with roads and other public transport services, then the

:02:22. > :02:24.system works better. That starts to make the area looked like a

:02:25. > :02:32.compelling place to put a new business. There is no immediate left

:02:33. > :02:34.from the high-speed rail plans but people are hoping a knock-on effect

:02:35. > :02:37.is not far down the line. A memorial has been unveiled

:02:38. > :02:40.for a mother and her two children who were murdered at their home

:02:41. > :02:43.in West Yorkshire almost a year ago. Geraldine Newman, eleven year

:02:44. > :02:46.old Shannon and six year old Shane were killed by the children's

:02:47. > :03:01.father, Paul Newman. One year on, friends and neighbours

:03:02. > :03:05.gathered to remember them. Last February, Jerry was found dead in

:03:06. > :03:09.her home from head injuries and the children from stab wounds. The

:03:10. > :03:14.father's body was found on cliffs in Anglesey. He'd been jailed for

:03:15. > :03:17.assaulting his wife previously. Today was a day of remembrance and

:03:18. > :03:22.prayed for a community which rallied together with local businesses to

:03:23. > :03:25.raise money for a lasting memorial. The community was shocked with the

:03:26. > :03:35.tragedy that happened almost a year ago. We wanted to create a lasting

:03:36. > :03:41.tribute for the family where they could come and pay their respects.

:03:42. > :03:46.Today gave an opportunity for a few moments of quiet reflection. For

:03:47. > :03:59.those who knew the family well it rot back painful memories. It was

:04:00. > :04:02.terrible, horrendous. The murder shocked all those who knew them but

:04:03. > :04:03.now they have a place to remember them.

:04:04. > :04:05.Olympic medalist Beth Tweddle has been in South Yorkshire today

:04:06. > :04:08.encouraging young people to take up gymnastics.

:04:09. > :04:10.The former World Champion helped children at Barnsley Gymnastics Club

:04:11. > :04:14.More than a hundred local children turned up

:04:15. > :04:32.It is important for children to do physical activity, sport has taught

:04:33. > :04:37.me so much which I am using in everyday life. Everything from

:04:38. > :04:41.motivation to determination. The simple things, having friends,

:04:42. > :04:44.having that social circle. Gymnastics has given me so much

:04:45. > :04:48.throughout my career and I just wanted to inspire the younger

:04:49. > :04:53.generation. I was just a young child of a dream so why can they achieve

:04:54. > :04:59.it as well? Lets see how the weather is looking. It

:05:00. > :05:06.chilly night across Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. Tomorrow starts

:05:07. > :05:10.off on a cold note. We will see some frost and dense patches of fog to

:05:11. > :05:18.look out for. Overnight is largely drive. There could be a wintry feel

:05:19. > :05:24.on high ground. Temperatures across parts of North Yorkshire will be

:05:25. > :05:31.down 2-3 C. Wherever we are it will be close to freezing. We could see

:05:32. > :05:35.some dense fog lingering for a time. This is possible just about anywhere

:05:36. > :05:40.but it looks a lot better by the time we get to the afternoon. Still

:05:41. > :05:45.pretty called. Fairly settled story over the next couple of days as high

:05:46. > :05:52.pressure remains in charge. Wrap up and I will see you soon. That is all

:05:53. > :05:57.from us but we are back for the late news. Keep up-to-date on Facebook

:05:58. > :06:27.and Twitter and social media. of freezing fog. Already warnings in

:06:28. > :06:28.place from the Met office. I will
