:00:25. > :00:38.Armed officers cordoned off this area, and the victim was taken

:00:39. > :00:40.to the Northern General Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

:00:44. > :00:46.Mercedes car that he'd been driving when he was shot.

:00:47. > :00:50.It's understood the victim lives in this area with relatives,

:00:51. > :00:53.and was going to a family gathering when the attack happened.

:01:31. > :01:35.But three local people lost their lives in recent weeks,

:01:44. > :01:44.in areas like Chapeltown and Harehills.

:01:45. > :01:48.The council change, the police change, people talk the right thing

:01:49. > :01:51.at the right time to say, well, actually, they suggest there's

:01:52. > :01:58.If we don't see the change, and people keep promising the change,

:01:59. > :02:01.then the only way we can deal with change is by it being

:02:02. > :02:05.The funeral of 16-year-old Irfan Wahid was held on Thursday,

:02:06. > :02:09.after he was fatally stabbed in Harehills eight days ago.

:02:10. > :02:11.Another 16-year-old boy has been charged with his murder.

:02:12. > :02:15.19-year-old Raheem Wilks was shot on January the 26th

:02:16. > :02:19.in the neighbourhood, and died in hospital from his injuries.

:02:20. > :02:22.And last week, in the same area, another man, as yet unnamed,

:02:23. > :02:27.People here say that their children had been failed.

:02:28. > :02:31.We've been sitting at a table for the best part of ten years

:02:32. > :02:35.with police, the local authority, youth offending service,

:02:36. > :02:38.many other agencies around the table - they've brought no resources

:02:39. > :02:45.They continually feel that we, the community, should be doing it

:02:46. > :02:50.But voluntary doesn't always work, you need resources.

:02:51. > :02:53.It's about safeguarding our children, and being able to create

:02:54. > :02:56.a safe space and being able to say that the city's version

:02:57. > :03:00.of Child-friendly Leeds means for every child.

:03:01. > :03:03.We want to know how we can prevent this happening

:03:04. > :03:06.A neighbourhood in fear for its children and trying

:03:07. > :03:16.Campaigners who are against a 150-year-old tree in Sheffield
