:00:19. > :00:21.The disruption is likely to make roads much busier than normal

:00:22. > :00:28.It won't be such a straightforward journey for train passengers

:00:29. > :00:32.tomorrow, when the members of the RMT strike.

:00:33. > :00:36.The union are concerned about plans to change the role of guards -

:00:37. > :00:39.currently they open and close doors when a train arrives at a station,

:00:40. > :00:43.but Arriva North want a driver to do that on their own.

:00:44. > :00:46.We believe that having a second person on all trains provides

:00:47. > :00:48.assurances to the travelling public, and it's an additional safety

:00:49. > :00:51.measure in the event that the driver becomes incapacitated.

:00:52. > :00:53.If you are trying to get from Bradford Forster Square

:00:54. > :00:56.into Leeds for a 9am start tomorrow, you might just make it.

:00:57. > :01:02.If you are coming home after work, then your last train

:01:03. > :01:07.But if you need to get home after work from Bradford to Ilkley,

:01:08. > :01:13.The advice to passengers is to make alternative arrangements if you can,

:01:14. > :01:19.It is a similar picture at stations across Yorkshire.

:01:20. > :01:21.More than 1,000 services are cancelled.

:01:22. > :01:26.There will be no services before 7am, and the last trains on most

:01:27. > :01:30.They have got to get to work, the commuters,

:01:31. > :01:33.and I understand them being upset, but what else can they do?

:01:34. > :01:37.How are they going to get their voice heard?

:01:38. > :01:39.It is not good for these people in general.

:01:40. > :01:43.It will affect most of the activities that are going on.

:01:44. > :01:47.For me, I think it is not the right decision, really.

:01:48. > :01:49.If there are no guards, who will help them?

:01:50. > :01:51.Who will be there with the passengers?

:01:52. > :01:55.So, for public safety, it is better to have the guards there.

:01:56. > :01:58.That is the issue that has sparked this dispute,

:01:59. > :02:03.but Arriva North say drivers can operate doors safely on their own.

:02:04. > :02:06.We put safety at the heart of everything that we do.

:02:07. > :02:10.The Independent Rail Regulator has actually indicated that this

:02:11. > :02:14.is as safe as conductor operation of the doors.

:02:15. > :02:17.A tricky commute ahead for passengers tomorrow,

:02:18. > :02:19.with unions warning that, if a deal can't be reached,

:04:24. > :04:25.Under the clear skies, the temperatures will be falling

:04:26. > :04:28.to around four or five Celsius, but we could see a touch of frost

:04:29. > :04:32.That does mean it's going to be quite a cold start tomorrow morning.

:04:33. > :04:35.We will see some spells of sunshine during the morning,

:04:36. > :04:37.clouding over from the north-west as we head into the afternoon,

:04:38. > :04:40.but still the sunshine will break through, and temperatures tomorrow

:04:41. > :04:42.will be getting up to a high of around 13 Celsius.

:04:43. > :04:47.For the rest of the week, it looks fairly decent.

:04:48. > :04:50.Lots of cloud around as we head into Tuesday,

:05:27. > :05:30.their way further east ward. Temperatures are dropping away, we

:05:31. > :05:34.have seen temperatures of freezing in parts of Northern Ireland. More

:05:35. > :05:38.cloud rolling in during the latter part of the night but towns and

:05:39. > :05:41.cities down the five and six m the countryside many of us will see the

:05:42. > :05:44.temperatures a degree or so above freezing, so a slight touch of frost

:05:45. > :05:48.across the rural parts of England
