:00:09. > :00:11.to proposals by Bradford council to regenerate the top

:00:12. > :00:15.A ?15 million scheme would see a new food market in the former

:00:16. > :00:18.Marks Spencer building, and the current market

:00:19. > :00:19.in the Oastler Centre being closed down.

:00:20. > :00:27.There are big plans for the market in Bradford,

:00:28. > :00:29.one closing, one opening and one being redeveloped.

:00:30. > :00:33.The council wants to close and knocked down the Oastler Centre

:00:34. > :00:35.for housing, and then use the former Marks Spencer building

:00:36. > :00:39.near the city centre as a new food market.

:00:40. > :00:42.The Kirkgate Market within the shopping centre opposite

:00:43. > :00:49.This is where the sort of footfall is in the city centre,

:00:50. > :00:53.it's a key corridor for the city as well, so it is celebrating that.

:00:54. > :00:56.The Oastler Centre was recently named one of the top ten world

:00:57. > :01:01.So we want to put that in the heart of the city and make sure

:01:02. > :01:04.it's fit for purpose and it's the future of markets.

:01:05. > :01:07.People's shopping habits are changing.

:01:08. > :01:09.Bradfordians are going to be asked their opinion

:01:10. > :01:14.I think it will be a good idea, but everything

:01:15. > :01:19.I'm not sure if you're going to attract the right sort of market.

:01:20. > :01:22.A lot of the shopping has gone towards the bottom of town and

:01:23. > :01:26.has left the top of the town quite barren, so to bring shopping

:01:27. > :01:29.back into Darley Street is going to bring some life back

:01:30. > :01:32.into the area, which would be quite nice for this part of Bradford.

:01:33. > :01:35.I don't think it will be a good idea personally,

:01:36. > :01:37.because I think there's hardly anybody that comes around this area

:01:38. > :01:39.now because there's no shops here as well.

:01:40. > :01:42.If the plans to redevelop the market get the go-ahead,

:01:43. > :01:44.it should be completed in four years' time.

:01:45. > :01:47.At that time, the Oastler Centre here would be knocked down

:01:48. > :01:55.and the housing would start to be built.

:01:56. > :01:59.A York MP has accused the Government of using human beings as "bargaining

:02:00. > :02:03.Speaking on today's Sunday Politics, Labour's Rachael Maskell says

:02:04. > :02:08.a decision by ministers to delay guaranteeing the rights of EU

:02:09. > :02:11.citizens to stay here, until we find out if OUR people

:02:20. > :02:21.the security of the future and we are already seeing the impact

:02:22. > :02:24.this is having on our NHS, as people are choosing not to come

:02:25. > :02:26.here because of the uncertainty over their future.

:02:27. > :02:29.It is a dangerous path that the Government have chosen

:02:30. > :02:33.A community in Leeds, trying to solve the housing crisis

:02:34. > :02:36.by developing their own homes, have hit their funding target.

:02:37. > :02:39.Chapeltown Co-Housing have found a site for 33 affordable eco-homes

:02:40. > :02:43.which will be rented or bought by local people.

:02:44. > :02:45.They've raised more than ?500,000 to fund the project.

:02:46. > :02:54.The reality is now hitting home and it, yes,

:02:55. > :03:02.There's been a grand re-opening of Elland Bridge in Calderdale

:03:03. > :03:08.after a 15-month repair process following flood damage in 2015.

:03:09. > :03:10.The bridge was opened to pedestrians and cyclists in January,

:03:11. > :03:13.and to vehicles in February, but the towpath and canal

:03:14. > :03:16.beneath the structure have remained closed until today.

:03:17. > :03:25.Celebrations in Elland today to mark the end of months of inconvenience,

:03:26. > :03:30.a chance for a community that had been divided by the damaged

:03:31. > :03:37.This is how the bridge looked in the aftermath

:03:38. > :03:41.It was closed to traffic and pedestrians,

:03:42. > :03:45.This is how it works now, and people who watched

:03:46. > :03:50.It brings a lot more people back into Elland,

:03:51. > :03:53.and takes more people out, so it's amazing.

:03:54. > :03:56.A lot better, the traffic has has calmed down again,

:03:57. > :03:59.you can get across, it's not like having two towns.

:04:00. > :04:02.It was a pain because people had to go around the long way

:04:03. > :04:05.and you couldn't just nip over the bridge,

:04:06. > :04:09.It's been a huge project to restore the bridge

:04:10. > :04:13.Pedestrians have been able to use the bridge since January,

:04:14. > :04:19.and it finally reopened for vehicles in February.

:04:20. > :04:22.We wanted to make sure the bridge looks right

:04:23. > :04:26.so that if the worst happened and there was a similar flooding

:04:27. > :04:29.incident to the kind we had in 2015, we know that this is robust

:04:30. > :04:37.Today was a family fun day, celebrating on the bridge,

:04:38. > :04:39.and on the water, an official opening now that all

:04:40. > :04:50.Local people are once again able to make the most of their town.

:04:51. > :04:53.Let's take a look at the weather for the week ahead now

:04:54. > :04:57.Hello, there's very little rain in the forecast

:04:58. > :05:04.We had a few showers around this morning and also a bit of cloud

:05:05. > :05:08.Some good spells of sunshine and there is further

:05:09. > :05:12.And clear skies through this evening and at first tonight.

:05:13. > :05:15.But, as the night wears on, we'll see some low-level cloud

:05:16. > :05:20.low enough for a touch of frost but up to 5 or 6 in

:05:21. > :05:24.Mist and murk tomorrow morning but that will clear and plenty

:05:25. > :05:27.Strengthening southerly wind but warm in the sunshine,

:05:28. > :05:34.Tomorrow evening and overnight, the cloud thickening and patchy rain

:05:35. > :05:37.pushing its way eastwards but it won't amount to much.

:05:38. > :05:40.Once that clears, the rest of the week will be dry with sunny

:05:41. > :06:12.It was a lovely second part to the weekend for most parts of the UK,

:06:13. > :06:17.lots of sunshine, more cloud to the east but in the last few hours it

:06:18. > :06:21.started to melt away and the process will continue, most places seeing

:06:22. > :06:25.lengthy clear spells overnight and much like last night it will turn a

:06:26. > :06:32.bit chilly. We might see mist and fog, like winds, more of a breeze in

:06:33. > :06:36.the north and west, cloud and patchy rain approaching the Western Isles

:06:37. > :06:38.by the end of the night. Eight or 9 degrees but in rural parts of

:06:39. > :06:43.Scotland England and Wales it will get to the bottom end of single

:06:44. > :06:47.figures. Frost will not last long in the morning nor will the mist and

:06:48. > :06:52.fog, England and Wales will have a lovely day with good sunshine and
