:00:00. > :00:00.week. Great, Peter, thanks very much.

:00:00. > :00:12.Concern over radicals recruited to fight in Syria.

:00:13. > :00:17.A five fold increase in counter terrorism arrests in the last year.

:00:18. > :00:25.It is about being vigilant, adult families being aware that the young

:00:26. > :00:27.person could be at risk and could be vulnerable.

:00:28. > :00:29.We'll ask a counter terrorism expert what can

:00:30. > :00:33.Downgraded in six months, anger from campaigners at Stafford

:00:34. > :00:39.Hospital as they learn paedhatric services will be reduced.

:00:40. > :00:45.There is no way that we are giving up. It is really important to us.

:00:46. > :00:47.One man's scrapheap is another man's treasure `

:00:48. > :00:49.the auction which attracted a surprising number of bidddrs.

:00:50. > :00:51.A victory to savour, League two Burton Albion revel

:00:52. > :00:59.in knocking Premier League PPR out of the Capital One Cup.

:01:00. > :01:04.To beat a Premiership club for the first time is another page hn

:01:05. > :01:08.history. This is what the f`ns want to see, a bit of excitement.

:01:09. > :01:12.And Autumn may not be too f`r away ` it may certainly have felt like it

:01:13. > :01:15.in recent days but we're behng given a timely reminder soon that it's

:01:16. > :01:24.still officially summer. Good news in the forecast still to cole.

:01:25. > :01:26.Good evening. The head of counter`terrorism in the

:01:27. > :01:30.West Midlands has revealed there's been a big rise

:01:31. > :01:35.in the number of Syria`related terrorist cases.

:01:36. > :01:37.London and the West Midlands are seen as hotspots, and policd say

:01:38. > :01:40.they've seen a five`fold increase in arrests since last year.

:01:41. > :01:44.Police are urging the community to get in touch if they belheve

:01:45. > :01:46.young people are planning to fight with Jihadist groups in Syrha.

:01:47. > :01:49.But Muslims here say they often don't know who's being radicalised.

:01:50. > :01:55.Peter Wilson has been investigating.

:01:56. > :01:58.Black flags and the black shirts of the Islamic State fighters.

:01:59. > :02:01.They've captured territory hn Iraq and Syria,

:02:02. > :02:09.They're also capturing hearts and minds from some of the xoung

:02:10. > :02:18.Two men from Handsworth will be sentenced next month for johning

:02:19. > :02:29.You have heard of this fivefold rise in investigations. We have seen

:02:30. > :02:36.that, so proportionately, those investigations have gone up. I

:02:37. > :02:44.cannot give exact figures for operational reasons but we have seen

:02:45. > :02:48.a rise. The police admit th`t it is mainly centred in London and in the

:02:49. > :02:54.West Midlands. In the first half of this year, 69 people were arrested,

:02:55. > :02:59.a 50% increase in the numbers of people stopped at ports, and the

:03:00. > :03:03.seizure of funds for terrorhst activities. Police say that

:03:04. > :03:09.radicalisation is no longer being taken place by so`called hate

:03:10. > :03:13.preachers, it is actually h`ppening inside people's homes. This is

:03:14. > :03:17.because of that link to the Internet, the way that the xoung

:03:18. > :03:21.person can sit in their bedroom anywhere in the country and access

:03:22. > :03:25.material advertised online, internationally.

:03:26. > :03:27.Junaid Hussein is 20 years old and from Birmingham.

:03:28. > :03:30.He's one of at least 500 Brhtish youths who've travelled to Syria.

:03:31. > :03:35.He posts videos and messages encouraging others to

:03:36. > :03:38.join him in Syria. At a Birlingham mosque they say that familids often

:03:39. > :03:44.have no idea that their youngsters are being radicalised.

:03:45. > :03:50.We live in a fast paced technological world. You can make

:03:51. > :03:54.contact with people on Facebook on the Internet, and keep it all

:03:55. > :03:55.secret, keep away from the family. And this is what we are seehng

:03:56. > :03:58.happening now. This weekend the Ahmadiyya TK

:03:59. > :04:01.community is gathering in H`mpshire. The Muslim sect is seen by some

:04:02. > :04:03.as heretics. The 3,000 members here in the

:04:04. > :04:13.West Midlands say they're concerned they, too, will be singled out

:04:14. > :04:21.by Islamic State fighters. These are extremist organis`tions

:04:22. > :04:33.that have no understanding of true Islam. My fear is that ISIS have

:04:34. > :04:37.some influence in Pakistan `nd that could exasperate the alreadx bad

:04:38. > :04:40.conditions that are against minorities.

:04:41. > :04:42.Syria maybe far away but what happens there has

:04:43. > :04:46.a big impact on the lives of many of our communities and incrdasingly

:04:47. > :04:59.I'm joined now by Haras Rafhq from the Quilliam Foundation,

:05:00. > :05:01.an organisation set up to challenge extremism.

:05:02. > :05:12.Another call for people to contact police if they believe young people

:05:13. > :05:17.are planning to fight with jihadists. How realistic is that?

:05:18. > :05:23.As you mentioned in the package it is quite often the case that

:05:24. > :05:25.friends, family and parents do not realise that somebody is getting

:05:26. > :05:32.radicalised to the point whdre they might go and support a jihadist

:05:33. > :05:36.group. Certainly, sometimes within councils and local authorithes, we

:05:37. > :05:42.have to look at how we can build up resilience so that when you get

:05:43. > :05:48.these messages of hatred indoctrinated on the youngsters

:05:49. > :05:52.that they are able to push back This is something we should prevent

:05:53. > :05:58.from happening, and it could be illegal. More needs to be done in

:05:59. > :06:03.that area from a government level and societal level as well. What

:06:04. > :06:08.lies behind increasing arrests? Is it better policing or more xoung

:06:09. > :06:12.people becoming radicalised? It is a combination of those things. There

:06:13. > :06:19.are two pastor the process. The first part is identifying pdople in

:06:20. > :06:21.terms of revenge and, once they become classified as extremhst. The

:06:22. > :06:26.Home Office and the police `nd agencies do some excellent work

:06:27. > :06:31.there, and that is leading to more arrests. The bigger part, preventing

:06:32. > :06:34.them from getting there and the first place, is something wd are not

:06:35. > :06:39.doing enough. The police ard doing very well in the first part and at

:06:40. > :06:43.community level, preventing youngsters from going down that path

:06:44. > :06:49.and not challenging the narratives that are leading them down there.

:06:50. > :06:55.And how do the government go about preventing that, is a progr`mme in

:06:56. > :07:02.place working? I do not think it is working now. I think this government

:07:03. > :07:05.has dropped the ball, certahnly since 2010`11, the previous

:07:06. > :07:10.government made mistakes but at least they had a go. This government

:07:11. > :07:11.is just focusing on looking at people once they are identified and

:07:12. > :07:17.then providing interventions. Is spending more than ?200

:07:18. > :07:21.a night on a hotel acceptable The expenses claims running to

:07:22. > :07:30.tens of thousands of pounds. Staff have been told that p`ediatric

:07:31. > :07:33.services at Stafford Hospit`l will It means that seriously ill children

:07:34. > :07:37.will be stabilised, before either being sent hole,

:07:38. > :07:41.or taken to the University Hospital

:07:42. > :07:43.of North Staffordshire. The announcement has angered many

:07:44. > :07:46.of the campaigners who are camping at the hospital in protest

:07:47. > :07:48.at plans to downgrade services. They've been there

:07:49. > :07:51.for nearly six weeks Kevin Reide has spent

:07:52. > :07:58.the evening with the protesters It's been almost six weeks

:07:59. > :08:05.since these protestors moved onto Since then

:08:06. > :08:10.the camp has grown with new marquees Local folk musicians providd

:08:11. > :08:23.the atmosphere, but We will win in the end becatse we

:08:24. > :08:27.have justice and righteousndss on our site. We are honest people. We

:08:28. > :08:31.just want health services for our community.

:08:32. > :08:34.In the coming years maternity services will close, as too

:08:35. > :08:44.in all cases most patients having to travel further.

:08:45. > :08:45.Lauren, Laura and Imogen are probably

:08:46. > :08:52.I have to go to North Staffordshire because I have got hip problems and

:08:53. > :09:00.it is very inconvenient, because we do not have a car. I think ht is bad

:09:01. > :09:04.considering it is the Countx Down in Staffordshire. `` the countx town.

:09:05. > :09:06.The government believes movhng services elsewhere

:09:07. > :09:07.will improve the overall care in Staffordshire.

:09:08. > :09:10.And the trust running Stafford hospital said it was no longer

:09:11. > :09:12.clinically or financially vhable in its present form.

:09:13. > :09:14.The claims are rejected by the protesters who last night

:09:15. > :09:21.decided on an impromptu march to the hospital reception.

:09:22. > :09:26.We all gave a round of appl`use just to show appreciation and gr`titude

:09:27. > :09:33.and to show the staff that `lthough their management doesn't value them,

:09:34. > :09:40.we certainly do, the communhty of Stafford. As you can see, spirits

:09:41. > :09:46.have been high this evening, but it is a mild, late summer 's nhght and

:09:47. > :09:49.the question is, will they be able to maintain this level of protest as

:09:50. > :09:56.the nights draw in and the weather gets colder? It is a fair point But

:09:57. > :10:00.there are people here who are pensioners, people taking c`ncer

:10:01. > :10:03.treatment at the hospital, `nd they have got time on their hands and

:10:04. > :10:08.they are prepared to stay. There is a hard`core of people here that are

:10:09. > :10:20.willing to keep the camp manned and it will continue. Some people say

:10:21. > :10:26.that they will stay, rain or shine. There is no way that we are giving

:10:27. > :10:31.up. It is really important to us, to everybody in the area, that we have

:10:32. > :10:35.a fully functioning hospital with all the necessary services. It is

:10:36. > :10:40.disgusting what is happening at the moment. I just hope that evdrything

:10:41. > :10:47.turns out, and we keep all of our services. This morning was the

:10:48. > :10:51.beginning of the 42nd day, with a full English breakfast on offer for

:10:52. > :10:54.those up early enough. For some work reckons, but for others, the

:10:55. > :10:59.debate and the determination go on. An energy supplier that aims to

:11:00. > :11:02.offer a cheaper alternative to the Extra`energy, is planning to locate

:11:03. > :11:06.its headquarters in the citx and create up to 1,000 local jobs

:11:07. > :11:09.over the next year. The company currently emploxs 2 0

:11:10. > :11:11.staff at its interim office Thousands of pounds worth

:11:12. > :11:15.of trophies have been stolen from the National Motorcycld Museum

:11:16. > :11:17.in Solihull. Over 100 trophies were taken

:11:18. > :11:20.from display cabinets at the museum, after thieves broke

:11:21. > :11:26.in at around 11pm last night. The museum says the trophies have

:11:27. > :11:28.little scrap value, It's offering a ?20,000 rew`rd

:11:29. > :11:34.for information leading to their recovery.

:11:35. > :11:48.No bikes were taken. Stoke`on`Trent City Council has

:11:49. > :11:55.confirmed it will not be exhibiting at the Chelsea flower show hn 2 15.

:11:56. > :11:58.The authority had been crithcised for contributing ?400,000 towards

:11:59. > :12:03.creating a garden and entertaining high profile guests. At the time,

:12:04. > :12:06.the City Council had defenddd the decision saying that it gendrated

:12:07. > :12:09.publicity and business for the city. The BBC has learned that thd

:12:10. > :12:11.Chief Executive of West Midlands Ambulance Service has claimdd up to

:12:12. > :12:14.?30,000 in hotel and transport Anthony Marsh also heads up the East

:12:15. > :12:18.of England Ambulance Servicd. The expenses claims include hire

:12:19. > :12:21.cars and ?200 a night hotels. Ben Godfrey has more

:12:22. > :12:23.and joins us now. Anthony Marsh, we're told,

:12:24. > :12:30.is paid ?232,000 a year to run both West Midlands Ambulance Service and

:12:31. > :12:33.East of England Ambulance Sdrvice. We know that figure

:12:34. > :12:35.because he's faced a barragd of criticism, including

:12:36. > :12:37.from a Health Minister, who Now, through a Freedom of

:12:38. > :12:45.Information request, we've learned that ` over the past 16 months `

:12:46. > :12:49.as he travels around the cotntry. He claimed more than ?10,000

:12:50. > :12:53.in hire car costs. He's often driven by someond else

:12:54. > :12:58.so he can work en route. ?13,000 was spent on 92 hotdl

:12:59. > :13:04.stays for meetings or conferences. And this, he's spent 20 nights

:13:05. > :13:06.at the Pullman St Pancras Hotel The GMB union says it sends

:13:07. > :13:20.an "appalling" They question how long Mr M`rsh can

:13:21. > :13:24.continue to divide his time between the West Midlands

:13:25. > :13:27.and the East of England, calling it And the Taxpayers'

:13:28. > :13:37.Alliance has seized on the decision to stay in what many people may deem

:13:38. > :13:46.expensive "high end" hotels. When the NHS is making savings and

:13:47. > :13:50.they are falling on front lhne staff, doctors and nurses whll be

:13:51. > :13:55.furious. It is outrageous to be spending this money on hotels and

:13:56. > :14:01.restaurants. At a time when the NHS is under such stress. What has West

:14:02. > :14:07.Midlands ambulance service said They say that it actually s`ves a

:14:08. > :14:13.taxpayer ?130,000 because hd does not take up the salary of two chief

:14:14. > :14:20.executives. They say that the lowest cost in hotels is always sotght and

:14:21. > :14:20.that Mr Marsh 's entitled to allowances or ?3000, and th`t these

:14:21. > :14:28.have not been claimed. Concern over radicals

:14:29. > :14:30.recruited to fight in Syria. A five fold increase in counter

:14:31. > :14:33.terrorism arrests in the last year. Shefali will be along shortly with

:14:34. > :14:45.your detailed weather forec`st. I am with Worcester ladies `nd their

:14:46. > :14:48.Rugby World Cup winners who have seen a dramatic rise in intdrest

:14:49. > :14:53.since England lifted the trophy in France.

:14:54. > :14:56.And the last straw, the slightly strange looking world

:14:57. > :14:57.record breaker ` more than 3,000 scarecrows

:14:58. > :15:04.To some they're a reminder of a bygone era, to others they re

:15:05. > :15:08.But today more than 200 people came

:15:09. > :15:13.from all over the country for the auction of 30 vintage cars.

:15:14. > :15:23.But as Giles Latcham found out, most of the cars had seen better days.

:15:24. > :15:32.Top gear it is not, but in ` field west of Shrewsbury stands a motoring

:15:33. > :15:35.mausoleums. It is part of all British history and all of the

:15:36. > :15:42.engineering that has been going on in the past. The gearboxes for this

:15:43. > :15:48.car were made in Wolverhampton company and the engine, in this

:15:49. > :15:55.case, came separately. I thhnk this one is the convertible. In 0952

:15:56. > :16:05.triumph Mayflower, complete with original leather seats. And so, the

:16:06. > :16:09.auction began. 30 watts belonging to a lifelong British car enthtsiast

:16:10. > :16:13.who stored them in a leaky barn hence the rust, but they ard all

:16:14. > :16:18.part of the family. I have got stories attached to most of them,

:16:19. > :16:26.they are old friends, most of these cars, yes. Let's move them on to

:16:27. > :16:32.someone else who can enjoy them All told, they fetched ?12,000. In the

:16:33. > :16:46.bargain basement and 1957 Hhllman Husky built in Coventry. Top of the

:16:47. > :16:51.range, the Birmingham Bears what Austen A90 Atlantic. Simon came from

:16:52. > :16:57.West Yorkshire to buy a Talbot Sunbeam, the car that his f`ther had

:16:58. > :17:00.when he was a schoolboy. It was embarrassing at the time, btt that

:17:01. > :17:06.was the car that I was taken to school in. Good only for parts, most

:17:07. > :17:10.of them are now on their final journeys, but for some of them, they

:17:11. > :17:16.live on, fuelled by motoring memories.

:17:17. > :17:19.England's women rugby world cup winners are getting back to the day

:17:20. > :17:22.job ` and in Worcester tonight there's a taster session for anyone

:17:23. > :17:25.Our Sports Editor Nick Clitheroe is there.

:17:26. > :17:29.So have many been inspired by the world champions?

:17:30. > :17:39.They absolutely have. You c`n see the Worcester ladies training

:17:40. > :17:43.session. Plenty of activity. We will speak to some World Cup winners in a

:17:44. > :17:49.moment. First, another causd for celebration.

:17:50. > :17:51.But first another cause for celebration because

:17:52. > :17:53.Burton Albion's fantastic start to the season continued with vhctory

:17:54. > :17:55.over Premier League QPR in the League Cup last night.

:17:56. > :17:58.The manager Gary Rowett described the League Two side's performance

:17:59. > :18:01.They came to the Pirelli St`dium full of hope.

:18:02. > :18:03.After all Burton are unbeatdn in the league so far this sdason

:18:04. > :18:06.while Harry Redknapp's QPR team are still looking for their first

:18:07. > :18:10.The difference in confidencd levels showed as Burton put their visitors

:18:11. > :18:13.under immense pressure throtghout but it took until 13 minutes from

:18:14. > :18:16.Adam McGurk's fine free`kick was the signal

:18:17. > :18:22.The Brewers had knocked Chalpionship Wigan out in the last round but this

:18:23. > :18:33.Really proud of the players and the effort that they put in. Not for the

:18:34. > :18:38.first time this season. We knocked out Wigan Athletic in the fhrst

:18:39. > :18:41.round. We have had to do twhce. Two knockout Premier League opponents in

:18:42. > :18:46.the way that we did, by cre`ting lots of chances, limiting them to

:18:47. > :18:51.very few, obviously, it fills me with pride and satisfaction this

:18:52. > :18:55.morning. We have seen some good games from Burton Albion ovdr the

:18:56. > :19:01.past couple of years but to beat a Premier League side, this whll be

:19:02. > :19:02.what the fans want to see, ` bit of excitement, and that is what they

:19:03. > :19:04.saw last night. They've had a nasty habit

:19:05. > :19:09.of losing to lower league shdes in the cups recently and that continued

:19:10. > :19:21.as Leyton Orient won at Villa Park. Romain Vincelot scored the winner

:19:22. > :19:23.three minutes from time. Stoke City never looked in danger

:19:24. > :19:25.of the same fate. They took the lead through

:19:26. > :19:28.Jon Walters early on against League Two side Portsmouth

:19:29. > :19:30.at the Britannia Stadium. Walters got a second right `t

:19:31. > :19:33.the start of the second half before Peter Crouch rounded off a very

:19:34. > :19:35.comfortable night for the Potters. Stoke will now play Sunderl`nd

:19:36. > :19:37.after they overcame Blues could and perhaps shotld have

:19:38. > :19:42.taken the lead when David Cotterill But they were made to pay

:19:43. > :19:44.as three quick goals in the last 14 minutes ensured there

:19:45. > :19:48.would be no sign of an upset here. There was one better bit of news

:19:49. > :19:51.for Aston Villa today midfielder Fabian Delph was called

:19:52. > :19:54.into the England squad for the first time for the friendly against Norway

:19:55. > :20:04.next week. world cup winners were in Bhrmingham

:20:05. > :20:08.today along with the trophy they won They were joined by the coach

:20:09. > :20:17.Gary Street who's a Brummie for Some Midlands rugby clubs wdre out

:20:18. > :20:23.there supporting us and ponds. And the amount of messages we h`ve had

:20:24. > :20:26.from rugby clubs in the Midlands has been on real. People have s`id you

:20:27. > :20:34.have inspired my daughter to go along to whatever local rugby club

:20:35. > :20:37.it might be, which is amazing. To get out there and just enjox what it

:20:38. > :20:42.is to play team sports. And everything that brings, the

:20:43. > :20:49.camaraderie and the chance to meet people and do some amazing things.

:20:50. > :20:52.There were amazing six World Cup winners at Worcester ladies. You

:20:53. > :20:57.were in Birmingham today. The interest that it is still gdnerating

:20:58. > :21:02.is amazing, isn't it? There has been so much publicity and focus on us,

:21:03. > :21:08.it has been fantastic. And ` number of people coming forward to play

:21:09. > :21:11.were miserable, as a result. Yes, lots of people have said thdy want

:21:12. > :21:17.to get involved and that we have been an inspiration. It is `mazing.

:21:18. > :21:21.Is it still sinking in? It hs, but it is going to take a while. You are

:21:22. > :21:26.still watching the World Cup trophy very proudly. You have seen more

:21:27. > :21:31.people coming along and you could field more teams in future. Yes

:21:32. > :21:34.that is what we heard, becatse that will mean more competition for

:21:35. > :21:39.places and that will filter through to the top. It is fantastic for

:21:40. > :21:44.Bristol Rugby club and again. And some of you could be going

:21:45. > :21:50.professional, playing rugby sevens. Definitely, those girls could get

:21:51. > :21:56.fundamental skills training. So it is a great thing for the gale, as a

:21:57. > :22:01.whole. You are coaching the backs, I will let you go and do the training

:22:02. > :22:04.session. It has been a fant`stic title to win, and everyone hs so

:22:05. > :22:08.excited that having all of these World Cup winners in the te`m, and

:22:09. > :22:12.the interest it has generatdd from women of all ages who want to get

:22:13. > :22:16.involved in rugby in the future on a lovely night at Worcester, it is a

:22:17. > :22:22.joy to be here, and seedy in interior is generated by th`t Rugby

:22:23. > :22:28.World Cup win. `` and see the enthusiasm generated. You c`n see

:22:29. > :22:37.more about those World Cup winners on our Facebook page. And there is

:22:38. > :22:40.an interview with Diana frol Shropshire who was on the great

:22:41. > :22:51.British baked of. She has ldft the programme. She felt ill before the

:22:52. > :22:54.filming of the fifth episodd. It has taken 11 years for this record to be

:22:55. > :22:58.beaten but they have finallx done it today in Staffordshire. The National

:22:59. > :23:03.farm adventure park has been building scarecrows all sumler, and

:23:04. > :23:10.now there are thousands of them throughout the park. One by one

:23:11. > :23:21.their numbers grew. Silentlx, and sinister. Scarecrows? 3311 of them,

:23:22. > :23:26.to be exact, and organisers hope to snatch the record from its current

:23:27. > :23:32.holders in Cincinnati, and bring it to Burton on Trent. We will be

:23:33. > :23:37.looking at scarecrow number 331 , which will surpass the world record.

:23:38. > :23:42.We will keep them until the 7th of September. Anyone that comes along

:23:43. > :23:47.can have a go at building a scarecrow and be a part of the new

:23:48. > :23:51.world record. This summer, people have been getting involved by making

:23:52. > :24:02.their own scarecrows. It is not your usual holiday activity. We will make

:24:03. > :24:06.it like you see it on TV. I got some skeleton leggings with a bl`ck

:24:07. > :24:15.T`shirt. And I designed a monster face. And so, to the record breaking

:24:16. > :24:21.attempt. This was scarecrow number 3312. And once he's in placd, the

:24:22. > :24:24.record is broken. They hoped to make 3000 by the middle of Septelber

:24:25. > :24:30.Staff are thrilled to have trashed that target. To start with H did not

:24:31. > :24:34.think we could make it but `s we got closer to it, there was a

:24:35. > :24:39.realisation that we could do it and we have done it today, which is

:24:40. > :24:43.brilliant. We'll carry on and see if can snatch it even more. Thdy have

:24:44. > :24:50.been busy year today and here are a couple of faces you might rdcognise,

:24:51. > :24:57.the colourful tie and the bdautiful smile, so, from Nick, from Lary Ann

:24:58. > :25:02.from me, it is back to the studio. `` and from me. Any truth in the

:25:03. > :25:12.rumours of summer returning? It will not happen until thd middle

:25:13. > :25:17.of next week when high pressure takes a firm hold. Before the week

:25:18. > :25:22.is out, we still run the risk of encountering some showers and some

:25:23. > :25:28.rain. Tomorrow maybe a little cooler. Temperatures should then be

:25:29. > :25:33.gradually rising. Into the liddle of next week, as well. It is this deep

:25:34. > :25:39.area of low pressure that whll affect weather over the comhng days.

:25:40. > :25:42.It brings in this impressivd formation of whether France leading

:25:43. > :25:49.to temporary disruption tomorrow. Once that clears, high pressure is

:25:50. > :25:55.taking over by Sunday. And the showers will be kept to a mhnimum on

:25:56. > :25:59.Sunday. Most of that activity to the north and west. We start of the

:26:00. > :26:05.night with clear skies. Temperatures at a minimum of 12 Celsius for most

:26:06. > :26:09.places. Then we will see cloud thickening from the West, producing

:26:10. > :26:12.these showers which will st`rt to move eastwards during the course of

:26:13. > :26:19.tomorrow. Tomorrow, showers and cloud around, with lots of

:26:20. > :26:24.brightness in between. But ht is a cool day with the wind pickhng up

:26:25. > :26:28.from a south`westerly direction Temperatures around 17 Celshus in

:26:29. > :26:35.the North, and 19 in the Sotth. Those showers continue to r`ttle

:26:36. > :26:40.eastwards until tomorrow night when they finally show some signs of

:26:41. > :26:44.dying away. Temperatures falling to a minimum of 12 Celsius agahn. For

:26:45. > :26:52.Saturday, we will see some showers down to a minimum. Focused `round

:26:53. > :26:57.the north and west of the rdgion. And that high pressure will take

:26:58. > :27:04.charge after that. The headlines from the BBC tonight, a blow for the

:27:05. > :27:12.Conservatives as a Tory MP defects to UKIP. And concern over a fivefold

:27:13. > :27:18.increase in counter terrorism arrests over the last year. That's

:27:19. > :27:20.all for now. Hope you have ` good evening.
