:00:35. > :00:37.there were desperate attempts to save the lives of two chhldren,

:00:38. > :00:40.and eight-year-old boy and a girl aged six.

:00:41. > :00:44.A fire in the hallway of thd family home was quickly put out

:00:45. > :00:47.by firefighters and neighbotrs described how they were wokdn up

:00:48. > :00:54.I heard a scream like I havd never heard before.

:00:55. > :00:57.It was terrible, I can still hear it now.

:00:58. > :01:00.I came out, blue lights, went up the road, and all I saw

:01:01. > :01:11.The two children were on thd grass and the firemen were working

:01:12. > :01:16.The mother wasn't injured but the children were pronotnced

:01:17. > :01:22.Friends of the family struggled to come to terms with the tragedy

:01:23. > :01:25.as detectives launched a criminal investigation.

:01:26. > :01:37.The police haven't been abld to say how the children died.

:01:42. > :01:46.40 miles away, less than three hours later, a fire-damaged car w`s found
