:00:39. > :00:41.for beareaved families and veterans, and today was a chance

:00:42. > :00:44.for the Rigby family to see how work is progressing.

:00:48. > :00:53.There is nothing like the retreat place where we could go and

:00:54. > :00:55.get away from the cameras and the stress and have

:00:56. > :01:05.25-year-old Lee was murdered by two Islamist extremists outside

:01:06. > :01:13.worked hard to set up the foundation in his name to try

:01:14. > :01:19.The site at Oakamoor is owned by the Kendo Nagasaki foundation

:01:20. > :01:21.who already run a retreat of their own here, they've donated

:01:22. > :01:27.Now the family needs to raise the funds

:01:28. > :01:29.to renovate, which will be quite a job.

:01:30. > :01:31.We need, windows and doors for this place.

:01:32. > :01:42.Everything which would go to a normal house build, this thing

:01:43. > :01:46.If there is anybody out there who can help, we'd love them

:01:47. > :01:50.This used to be a former care home but it has been

:01:51. > :01:54.Once it is transformed, they will be able to house 13 families here.

:01:55. > :01:56.What do you think Lee would make of this?

:01:57. > :01:58.He would be loving it because he was really

:01:59. > :02:00.upset the way some of the

:02:01. > :02:03.bereaved families were treated so that is why we have to do it.

:02:04. > :02:12.Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man

:02:13. > :02:16.The 33-year-old, who was sitting in a stationary car

:02:17. > :02:17.on Dartmouth Street, died from a gunshot

:02:18. > :02:24.Police arrested the two local men, aged 19 and 24, a short time later.

:02:25. > :02:30.Investigations have been continuing today at the scene.

:02:31. > :02:32.And, in a separate incident, police are investigating after a man

:02:33. > :02:35.from Walsall was taken to hospital on Christmas Day

:02:36. > :02:39.The 26-year-old was shot in the stomach in Farmstead Close

:02:40. > :02:42.in the Palfrey area on Sunday evening.

:02:43. > :02:45.He remains in a serious condition in hospital.

:02:46. > :02:47.Detectives are carrying out house to house, CCTV and forensic

:02:48. > :02:55.Hospitals are receiving more money than ever from car park charges,

:02:56. > :02:57.with the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust

:02:58. > :03:00.collecting more than most, according to a survey.

:03:01. > :03:02.Heart of England which runs Solihull, Heartlands

:03:03. > :03:04.and Good Hope Hospitals, made ?4.8 million in the last

:03:05. > :03:11.But the Trust says the funds go towards providing safe

:03:12. > :03:20.The cause of a huge gas explosion - which destroyed a home and left

:03:21. > :03:23.a pensioner with serious injuries - may never be known.

:03:24. > :03:25.It happened in Penn in Wolverhampton on this day last year.

:03:26. > :03:27.The blast caused considerable damage to surrounding properties.

:03:51. > :03:55.We had one side of my house demolished and it was rebuilt.

:03:57. > :04:01.Unfortunately it has taken a lot longer than we

:04:02. > :04:06.A pile of rubble - and fractured gas pipes -

:04:07. > :04:09.it's the ever present reminder that the explosion could have

:04:10. > :04:13.injured Daljit's wife who was in the kitchen at the time.

:04:14. > :04:15.Where she had been standing, the TV just thrown across,

:04:16. > :04:27.Wendy Ayoub, the owner, who's in her seventies,

:04:28. > :04:31.Incredibly, emergency services said her life may have been saved

:04:32. > :04:36.by a tumble dryer which protected her from falling masonry.

:04:37. > :04:38.Wendy says the explosion is still too raw for

:04:39. > :04:51.She is hopeful of moving back here and plans of an

:04:52. > :04:55.Daljit has finally finished his extension -

:04:56. > :04:57.now the inside is being furnished with the family moving

:04:58. > :05:01.We haven't had a full explanation as to what exactly happened

:05:02. > :05:05.National Grid investigated the Penn Road gas explosion

:05:06. > :05:09.and said none of its pipes or meters were faulty.

:05:10. > :05:12.The cause of the blast may never be known.
