:00:00. > :00:08.Good evening. for the news where you are.

:00:09. > :00:11.Six people arrested in Birmingham in connection with Wednesday's

:00:12. > :00:15.attack in Westminster have tonight been released without charge.

:00:16. > :00:19.But a major police investigation is still continuing.

:00:20. > :00:22.Last night, the Metropolitan Police say they made another "significant

:00:23. > :00:29.Another address, another police search.

:00:30. > :00:33.This one in Hockley, in Birmingham, the third of three locations

:00:34. > :00:36.in the city raided by armed officers on Wednesday night

:00:37. > :00:42.They were like - get down, get down, it was really scary at the time

:00:43. > :00:44.because you didn't know what was going on.

:00:45. > :00:45.I looked outside, there were guns everywhere.

:00:46. > :00:48.They were in my garden, over the fences, it was just crazy.

:00:49. > :00:51.It was scary because it was right next door.

:00:52. > :00:54.You don't know who you are living next door to.

:00:55. > :00:57.A low loader turned out to remove three vehicles thought to belong

:00:58. > :01:01.Someone thought the dad came from Saudi Arabia,

:01:02. > :01:07.The man arrested had been living here for about a year

:01:08. > :01:13.One neighbour told me he bumped into him in the park feeding

:01:14. > :01:16.the birds on several occasions, he seemed

:01:17. > :01:21.Another said he kept himself to himself.

:01:22. > :01:24.Nobody has spoken to him, he is not that social.

:01:25. > :01:30.All of a sudden he is arrested and apparently linked

:01:31. > :01:33.A bit mad, a bit mad all on my doorstep.

:01:34. > :01:36.A stone throw away is a property where it is thought

:01:37. > :01:42.described as significant, a total of eight people have now

:01:43. > :01:56.For those who spent years working to prevent extremism, it is a blow.

:01:57. > :01:58.I think we've been moving in the right direction,

:01:59. > :02:00.although this individual has clearly set us back with the level

:02:01. > :02:03.of the attack and audacity of it where we have seen a number

:02:04. > :02:06.of people killed and injured and a police officer stabbed

:02:07. > :02:09.Questions remain, was Khalid Masood acting alone or were others

:02:10. > :02:16.In the search for answers this city remains the focus.

:02:17. > :02:18.Our reporter Kathryn Stanczyszyn is in Birmingham city

:02:19. > :02:24.What more can you tell us, Kathryn, about those arrested

:02:25. > :02:38.Well, what we do know is that all six of those told the night that

:02:39. > :02:42.they are free to go with no further action being taken over Wednesday's

:02:43. > :02:46.attack had been arrested in Birmingham. They include a

:02:47. > :02:51.21-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man arrested at one address, also

:02:52. > :02:55.four other people in their 20s picked up a separate addresses in

:02:56. > :03:02.Birmingham, a woman and three men. All of those are now out of custody.

:03:03. > :03:06.Four others remain in police custody pending further enquiries, two of

:03:07. > :03:10.them from Birmingham, a 58-year-old man and a 27-year-old man who was

:03:11. > :03:14.arrested late yesterday. The other two still in custody are from the

:03:15. > :03:17.Manchester area. West Midlands Police have released a statement

:03:18. > :03:22.tonight saying that all six fully cooperated with officers working on

:03:23. > :03:28.the investigation. Assistant Chief Constable Marks Beale said they are

:03:29. > :03:29.very appreciative of their cooperation and support. -- Marcus

:03:30. > :03:31.Beale. Thank you. A team of scientists in Birmingham

:03:32. > :03:34.and Oxford have made a major breakthrough in the treatment

:03:35. > :03:36.and diagnosis of tuberculosis. Using genome sequencing,

:03:37. > :03:38.they're able to isolate different strains of TB much more quickly,

:03:39. > :03:40.which means patients The X-ray on the left

:03:41. > :03:51.shows a healthy chest. On the right, the latter

:03:52. > :03:53.stages of tuberculosis. 100 years ago recuperation

:03:54. > :03:55.meant rest and fresh air. Then as technology advanced

:03:56. > :03:58.came more breakthroughs. The latest scientific step towards

:03:59. > :04:02.the detection of tuberculosis By the 1970s TB rates in the UK

:04:03. > :04:07.were at an all-time low, but as drug resistance grew,

:04:08. > :04:12.the killer disease came back. Now scientists in Oxford

:04:13. > :04:14.and here in Birmingham have made In a world first they've used

:04:15. > :04:20.genome sequencing to give a more precise diagnosis,

:04:21. > :04:22.far more quickly. Well, this is the machine

:04:23. > :04:25.where all the really interesting 15 samples go in here

:04:26. > :04:29.and for the next 25 hours it works out the DNA scores of each

:04:30. > :04:34.of those examples. Patients will ultimately get better

:04:35. > :04:37.treatment because it means that the doctors will get those

:04:38. > :04:39.results and know the individual We are now using one single test

:04:40. > :04:45.which gives us all the information on the identity of the organism,

:04:46. > :04:51.saying is this TB or some other microbacteria,

:04:52. > :04:54.what are the drug resistance mutations, so what treatment can

:04:55. > :04:57.we use and is this related to other strains and should we be looking

:04:58. > :04:59.for a transmission network, to intervene

:05:00. > :05:03.and prevent further spread? Genome sequencing could be used

:05:04. > :05:07.to treat other diseases with massive Most importantly it'll save lives

:05:08. > :05:13.and if we can show that using the most modern technology can

:05:14. > :05:18.help reduce the time it takes to identify who's got TB,

:05:19. > :05:20.get them on to a treatment programme, then we can move closer

:05:21. > :05:26.to what we all want, which is to eradicate TB

:05:27. > :05:28.from the shores of the country. Instead of spending months

:05:29. > :05:31.in hospital, patients with complex drug resistant cases of TB have been

:05:32. > :05:34.sent home after just a week, with a much better chance

:05:35. > :05:43.of long-term survival. A banned driver involved

:05:44. > :05:45.in a high-speed chase through Coventry has been jailed

:05:46. > :05:47.for 12 months and disqualified Tony Berrill ran red

:05:48. > :05:51.lights and performed dangerous overtaking moves,

:05:52. > :05:54.as he careered through the city At one point, officers were forced

:05:55. > :05:58.to abandon their pursuit for fear On to rugby, and Gloucester began

:05:59. > :06:04.life in the Premiership without head coach Laurie Fisher

:06:05. > :06:07.with a bonus-point win The Cherry and Whites

:06:08. > :06:11.ran in four tries. The pick of them coming

:06:12. > :06:15.right at the death. Jonny May running the length of

:06:16. > :06:18.the pitch to secure maximum points. The result will be welcomed

:06:19. > :06:20.by Bristol's relegation rivals Worcester, who take on Wasps

:06:21. > :06:26.at the Ricoh Arena on Sunday. I'll leave you with

:06:27. > :06:30.the weather from Rebecca. As we head through this weekend,

:06:31. > :06:37.we are actually losing an hour. The clocks going forward

:06:38. > :06:39.as British summertime starts. And it is looking particularly

:06:40. > :06:42.summery as we head Temperatures recovering although

:06:43. > :06:46.overnight it is going to be chilly. But dry and bright and lots

:06:47. > :06:49.of sunshine to come. For tonight without the crowd

:06:50. > :06:52.to keep our temperatures up, we are going to see

:06:53. > :06:54.them falling away. We could see a touch

:06:55. > :06:56.of frost particularly We will see our temperatures ranging

:06:57. > :07:02.between one and three Celsius. But high pressure dominating our

:07:03. > :07:07.weather for this weekend. The winds dropping out

:07:08. > :07:10.through the day tomorrow. And it's going to be

:07:11. > :07:12.a fine and dry start. Lots of lovely sunshine as we head

:07:13. > :07:15.through the morning. A little bit of fairweather

:07:16. > :07:17.cloud by the afternoon. Our temperatures back up

:07:18. > :07:19.into double figures. We may get 15 or 16

:07:20. > :07:23.Celsius somewhere. There is more information on that

:07:24. > :07:25.in the national forecast. I will leave you with an outlook

:07:26. > :07:36.for the next few days. weather outlook for the whole of the

:07:37. > :07:47.Good evening. It is good news on the weather front for most of the UK. We

:07:48. > :07:52.have been forecasting fine weather for a few days. It has certainly

:07:53. > :07:59.arrived. Beautiful picture today. The skies are clearing across the

:08:00. > :08:00.UK. Temperatures are falling as well. Pretty nippy. Already a frost
