:00:33. > :00:37.Ian Paterson, a breast surgeon accused of carrying out unnecessary

:00:38. > :00:46.At Nottingham Crown Court, he's on trial for allegedly causing

:00:47. > :00:52.grievous bodily harm to ten patients over a 14-year period.

:00:53. > :00:54.Today the 59-year-old took the stand.

:00:55. > :01:25.Over the last few weeks the court has heard that the surgeon operated

:01:26. > :01:30.unnecessarily on patients at two private hospitals.

:01:31. > :01:34.The prosecution alleges his motives were obscure and may have included

:01:35. > :01:42.Ian Paterson denies 20 counts of wounding with intent.

:02:02. > :02:11.This meeting in Birmingham was organised by the Small Heath

:02:12. > :02:14.Multicultural Faith Forum to pray for the victims of last

:02:15. > :02:21.The family, communities needed to come together to see

:02:22. > :02:24.that they have the ground, they have the platform to talk

:02:25. > :02:32.Police say Khalid Masood had connections with Birmingham.

:02:33. > :02:35.Over the weekend a 30-year-old man was arrested in the city.

:02:36. > :02:39.A 58-year-old man, also arrested in Birmingham, remains in custody.

:02:40. > :02:43.Once again the city is associated with extremism.

:02:44. > :02:47.People here say they must not let this atrocity divide them.

:02:48. > :02:49.When the person comes from Birmingham, and it makes

:02:50. > :02:52.you realise that you can't keep on burying your head in the sand,

:04:49. > :04:52.After nearly about one hour, two hours, he's still in the ambulance

:04:53. > :05:01.The car that struck him had been chased by police.

:05:02. > :05:04.The pursuit began in the north Birmingham suburb of Erdington,

:05:05. > :05:11.The Mondeo went through a red light and the police abandoned the chase.

:05:12. > :05:15.Moments later the collision happened and the Mondeo then sped off.

:05:16. > :05:17.Two police vehicles have been removed for examination.

:05:18. > :05:21.Investigators from the Independent Police Complaints Commission spent

:05:22. > :05:26.More than 12 hours after this accident, the road is just

:05:27. > :05:30.about to reopen, the hunt for the driver continues.

:05:31. > :05:34.Police are urging him to give himself up.

:05:35. > :05:38.Locals say they're tired of traffic speeding past their doors.

:05:39. > :05:44.I live in this area and I see these traffic lights,

:05:45. > :05:47.I see cars lining up and they're going high-speed and they're racing,

:06:21. > :06:25.It's been a personal mission for Kevin Healey who wasn't

:06:26. > :06:28.diagnosed with the condition until he was 26.

:06:29. > :06:32.As a young child growing up in Staffordshire, he was labelled as

:06:33. > :06:35.eccentric and he struggled through school life.

:06:36. > :06:38.Here's our arts reporter, Satnam Rana.

:06:39. > :06:49.I felt overloaded so I started to use my right hand as a puppet doll.

:06:50. > :06:56.He became my close friend and was with me wherever I went.

:07:24. > :07:27.heart was bigger than anything and I used to get angry and I used

:07:28. > :07:34.to come in and stamp my feet and cry and I thought, hang on a minute.

:07:35. > :07:40.He holds his head up high, which you always have done

:07:41. > :07:43.and I am so proud of you, Kevin.

:07:44. > :07:46.Back in the '80s no-one knew Kevin was autistic.

:07:47. > :07:50.His twin brother was diagnosed with autism at 18 but his condition

:07:51. > :07:56.Kevin was diagnosed when he was 26 with a milder form.

:07:57. > :07:59.Satnam, this is the park I grew up in as a child and used to play

:08:00. > :08:04.I know it's in the film, so why did you want to put your personal

:08:05. > :08:08.To raise more awareness of autism and to move away

:08:09. > :08:13.According to the National Autistic Society 700,000 people

:08:14. > :08:16.are on the autism spectrum in the UK, that's

:08:17. > :08:21.As a child, what was it like pre-diagnosis and what is it

:08:22. > :08:28.As a child, I found it really hard to interact with other children

:08:29. > :08:30.and communicate with them as a child growing up.

:08:31. > :08:35.As an adult now, even though I can communicate quite

:08:36. > :08:39.articulately, I still have problems with communication.

:08:40. > :08:43.People not understanding me or certain things I can be quite

:08:44. > :08:47.literal, or quite to the point, and sometimes I can be quite blunt.

:08:48. > :08:52.Kevin's story will premiere tonight and then the film will be taken film

:08:53. > :08:54.festivals as he continues to spread the word.
