:01:28. > :01:34.The emergency services were met with a scene of horror and heartbreak. A
:01:35. > :01:39.mother stabbed to death. Her 13-year-old son lay dying inside the
:01:40. > :01:44.family home. The boy's father had stab wounds to his chest and back
:01:45. > :01:51.and was found in the back garden. He remains in a critical condition.
:01:52. > :01:56.They were inflicted by a man known to the family, but not a family
:01:57. > :02:00.relative. Tragically, there was nothing that could be done to save
:02:01. > :02:06.the woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A Land Rover Discovery
:02:07. > :02:12.taken from the house in Stourbridge crashed into a brick wall in nearby
:02:13. > :02:16.Norton Road driven by a man in his 20s. He has been arrested by the
:02:17. > :02:20.police. The Ambulance Service say that everything was done to try and
:02:21. > :02:26.save the life of the 13-year-old boy. A child with very serious
:02:27. > :02:32.injuries was in cardiac arrest at the scene. He was treated very
:02:33. > :02:36.quickly and given life-saving treatment before being taken to
:02:37. > :02:40.Birmingham Children's Hospital. Sadly, despite the best efforts of
:02:41. > :02:48.our staff on scene, and those within the hospital, the child has died.
:02:49. > :02:52.The house in Greyhound Lane Is the home of Tracey and Peter Wilkinson,
:02:53. > :02:56.he is a 47-year-old company director. A close friend who has
:02:57. > :03:01.known him for ten years spoke to me as news began to break that this
:03:02. > :03:08.successful Black Country businessman has lost both his wife and his
:03:09. > :03:12.teenage son. I saw him just a few weeks back and what can I say? Like
:03:13. > :03:18.any other person, living in the local area. Very friendly,
:03:19. > :03:24.supportive, offered me a drink actually. So we were just chatting
:03:25. > :03:28.and he was looking to help us as I said, the Conservatives in the area.
:03:29. > :03:32.And I have been, he has been helping me for years. This afternoon, the
:03:33. > :03:39.Land Rover was taken away and the main road reopened. The young man
:03:40. > :03:42.who took the Land Rover Discovery appears to have been driving around
:03:43. > :03:46.the streets of Stourbridge for more than 30 minutes. He was pursued by
:03:47. > :03:50.the police. He has driven into that brick wall, but he has collided with
