:00:08. > :00:11.A 23-year-old man has been charged with the murders of Tracey Wilkinson

:00:12. > :00:14.and her 13-year-old son, Pierce, who were stabbed

:00:15. > :00:16.at their home in Stourbridge yesterday morning.

:00:17. > :00:19.Aaron Barley, of no fixed address, is also charged with the attempted

:00:20. > :00:22.murder of the boy's father, Peter, who is still in a critical

:00:23. > :00:27.Tributes to the family have been paid throughout the day

:00:28. > :00:34.Once school was out, it began - a steady stream of children,

:00:35. > :00:40.many of them from Redhill, where 13-year-old Pierce

:00:41. > :00:44.was a pupil - gradually laying a carpet of flowers.

:00:45. > :00:49.At the school today, fond memories of a popular boy.

:00:50. > :00:53.Pierce was a loyal, caring and conscientious pupil.

:00:54. > :00:57.He'll be sadly missed by all members of our school community.

:00:58. > :01:00.He always met everybody with a smile and was a kind

:01:01. > :01:10.Police were called to an incident at the family home in Stourbridge

:01:11. > :01:12.at eight o'clock yesterday morning, in which Pierce and his

:01:13. > :01:21.In the picture, the family's beloved greyhound Mandy.

:01:22. > :01:24.The woman who helped re-home him two years ago was here today to pay

:01:25. > :01:34.They were easy to talk to and they loved the dogs.

:01:35. > :01:36.When they homed Mandy, we knew that she was going

:01:37. > :01:44.Not only that, that they would be great advocates for the breed.

:01:45. > :01:46.Shortly before four o'clock, the police said they had charged

:01:47. > :01:49.a 23-year-old man with the murders of Tracey and Pierce Wilkinson,

:01:50. > :01:54.and the attempted murder of Peter Wilkinson.

:01:55. > :01:56.That man is Aaron Barley of no fixed abode.

:01:57. > :01:59.He is due before magistrates tomorrow.

:02:00. > :02:02.Peter Wilkinson remains in hospital in Birmingham tonight -

:02:03. > :02:03.his condition described as critical but stable.

:02:13. > :02:17.was found stabbed at a tram stop in Birmingham.

:02:18. > :02:20.The man, who's believed to be in his 50s, was found collapsed

:02:21. > :02:22.at the Benson Road tram stop, in Winson Green, around ten

:02:23. > :02:26.British Transport Police say it's unclear whether the man was stabbed

:02:27. > :02:32.on the platform or elsewhere and are appealing for witnesses.

:02:33. > :02:34.Government inspectors have rated children's services

:02:35. > :02:36.in Wolverhampton as "good" - six years after they were described

:02:37. > :02:41.Ofsted said it had found improvements

:02:42. > :02:47.Parents told them new services, brought in over the past 18 months,

:02:48. > :02:51.The city council welcomed the report but said it was still identifying

:02:52. > :03:01.Workers at BMW's engine plant at Hams Hall in Warwickshire have

:03:02. > :03:05.It follows the announcement by the German car company

:03:06. > :03:07.that it was planning to stop their final

:03:11. > :03:16.What were the results of the ballot?

:03:17. > :03:19.According to the Unite union it was overwhelmingly in favour

:03:20. > :03:28.It involved union members at all four of BMW's plants in the UK,

:03:29. > :03:31.not just those based here at Hams Hall, and 93

:03:32. > :03:34.percent voted in favour of potential strikes.

:03:35. > :03:37.That's on a seventy percent turnout, which union leaders say shows

:03:38. > :03:44.the strength of feeling over this issue.

:03:45. > :03:51.What impact would the planned changes have?

:03:52. > :03:55.Some workers believe they could lose up to ?160,000 if this goes through.

:03:56. > :03:58.We have seen protests here in the Midlands and some have gone over to

:03:59. > :04:02.Germany to lobby bosses. Bosses who said that they need to operate

:04:03. > :04:04.pension that is sustainable and affordable in the future but unions

:04:05. > :04:08.This is a company, remember, that is unbelievably profitable.

:04:09. > :04:10.6 billion euros profits just recently published and

:04:11. > :04:12.we've consistently said to them that it is completely unfair,

:04:13. > :04:14.in the circumstances that we are in, that they should

:04:15. > :04:29.Despite today's boat we do not have dates for potential strike action

:04:30. > :04:35.but certainly union leaders will be happy this will put pressure on BMW

:04:36. > :04:37.to sit down star talks about this to try to get to a resolution.

:04:38. > :04:41.More than 43,000 Coventry City fans will make the trip

:04:42. > :04:43.to Wembley this weekend, for Sunday's Checkatrade Trophy

:04:44. > :04:46.But it's not just the supporters who've been dreaming

:04:47. > :04:54.of the big occasion - as Nick Clitheroe found out.

:04:55. > :04:58.Cup final week is a time for giving it everything in training and making

:04:59. > :05:00.sure the manager wouldn't dare leave your name off

:05:01. > :05:04.But it's also a time to imagine fulfilling your childhood ambitions.

:05:17. > :05:23.You know, recently, I've been having a few dreams about the moment.

:05:24. > :05:25.To actually live it will be quite surreal.
