:00:28. > :00:32.In five days' time, the people of Stoke-on-Trent Central

:00:33. > :00:39.And the candidates are starting to ramp up campaigning.

:00:40. > :00:46.More than 100 people have travelled from around the country to help

:00:47. > :00:49.the Liberal Democrat candidate become the party's tenth MP.

:00:50. > :00:52.If I win, I would campaign hard to keep Stoke-on-Trent

:00:53. > :00:58.I believe that is the only way, in the short term at least,

:00:59. > :01:03.And it is the only way that we can attract more investment from other

:01:04. > :01:10.Ukip are in town as well, and with wind in their sails

:01:11. > :01:12.after Brexit, they hope to turn these parts purple.

:01:13. > :01:15.I am a national voice. I am a national party leader.

:01:16. > :01:17.When I stand up and speak, people will listen.

:01:18. > :01:19.So, rather than having another backbencher who will be

:01:20. > :01:22.a voice in the wilderness, when I stand up in the House

:01:23. > :01:25.of Commons, it will shake the establishment to its core.

:01:26. > :01:28.And I can put Stoke-on-Trent Central on the political map.

:01:49. > :01:52.But for Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, he knows only too well this
